Could you give an example of this?
Even if its not on purpose, it is REALLY FUNNY to translate all of Anakin's dialog in your head to James Earl Jones. "Are you an angel?" sounds so great in his voice.
afwdg99 said:Is Ady's HD version of A New Hope the same version as his A New Hope Revisited?
No, its basically the 04 version with his version of Greedo's death. ANHR is only SD. :-(
zombie84 said:Its probably just them walking across the set. It doesn't look like an actual scene to me.
But why would they be on that set at all? With Mark in handcuffs?
I think its good that the scene was cut, because all I can imagine it being is more of the same Luke pleading for Vader to turn, or just a glimpse of Lucas wanting unneccessary shots to assure you that yes, the shuttle did land where it was going (a la ESB:SE).

2) when Vader is talking to Luke on the platform (after cutting Luke's hand off) you can see the shell of Vader's helmet moving in the wind.
Yeh, this has been mentioned. I'm not sure if i'll be doing anything with that because we do see that the hood part of the helmet is separate and it does help show just how windy it is up there.
This was Ady's response as I had mentioned the helmet thing a while back.
Ady's response sounds like he'll try to work on it, but he already has a valid excuse to leave it the way it is. It seems like a lot of work, but Ady seems to enjoy lots of work, so we'll see what happens.
I love these ideas, and endorse them completely. I'd especially love to see trailers for the OT in modern/PT style. I think the RotJ teaser should directly relate to the TPM teaser ("Every Saga Has To End...").

You may start writing when ready.

I'm a list fiend (I even reorganized the official ESBR list for Adywan, which he hasn't commented on yet), but I think its a little too early for a list, especially of the Radical Redux thread. Some of the suggestions here involve refilming all of the movies! When the time comes when RotJR is finished or at least in production, we'll have a TPM thread where we can just focus on it. Just remember what you suggested here!

Everything from "I'm a person and my name is Anakin" to "You turned her against me!" sounds much better, or at least more funny, in Vader's voice. Try it!
"Yipee!"
Wow, I have been doing this for nearly five minutes now and it does not get old. Has me cracking up, especially lines like, "Are you and angel?" "I heard the freighter pilots talk about them. They come from the moons of Diago... I think." Hahahaha!
I should contact Chad Vader and have him redub all of Anakin's lines in the prequels for us. I want the same inflection, same (lack of) emotion, just deep and dark sounding.

That screenshot of your Vegas screen was perfect, as it doesn't let us ask questions like"how's it coming?" and lets us see a new preview shot!
I don't think the two entrances need to be made to look the same. Don't forget there is a north and south entrance to the base. although the mattes need enhancing they don't need to be exactly the same
Makes sense to me, though I loved (as always) Vaderios' new version.
i have things planned for the sequence where the shield generator is destroyed but i'm keeping this one secret until the edit is released.
Awesome. It must be so hard to keep secrets like that! Its hard enough to have such secrets kept from us!
as for vaders chamber, i do like the corridor idea abut not an airlock or lift. he wouldn't need a sterile environment so his wounds wouldn't get infected because they would have healed after all this time. i've always thought that the actual meditation unit had some sort of inbuilt force field protecting Vader when he has his mask off and that his breathing apparatus was linked into its systems which would allow him to have his mask off for short periods of time. i won't be doing any changes to that apart from the entrance.
So you are changing the entrance. Sweet. So, new entrance to Vader's Chamber, no new entrance to the Rebel base. Vaderios, what's next for us to debate? LOL
yes the soundtrack for ANH:R featured a rebuilt sound mix with new sound FX and the same will be done to ESB:R
Awesome. You do too much. Now, I've been telling people you redid every sound effect and its a whole new mix of the music for ANHR. Am I exaggerating, or did you truly scrap everything and start from scratch?
Adywan's AVCHD's are not technically the 97 SE, just an approximation using the HD broadcast of the 2004 SE with some edits to revert it back and recoloring that is probably better than the 97 SE. It's probably as close as we will ever come to an HD 97 SE since Lucas disavows it more than he does the original versions.
If you're truly looking for the best versions, Wookiegroomer has HD copies of all of the movies up on torrents and such, including the 2004 SE.
There aren't an HD copies of the originals (obviously), but there are many efforts to make the best possible anamorphic versions using either the X0 laserdisc or the aforementioned 2006 DVDs. Neither one is perfect.
seven said:a short side track idea for a special feature...
To expand on the special feature on ANH revisited of the pop up track (pop up of all the changes), it would be cool to do a comparison track.
You can watch the whole movie with SE on top (proper 'all rights reserved' legal info attached) and Revisited on bottom . You can then add all the pop ups on the SE half of the screen of all the errors/things changed.
The problem is that that would be another video track and would double the amount of space needed just for the video. I'm sure someone could make their own special feature DVD doing exactly that, but the time differences and edit choices would make it extremely difficult. I'd love for someone to try though...

Maybe they're hoping to catch him on a "good day".
A good day where he still chokes you but stops just before you pass out?
Hot dog, we put a lot of thought into this.
The more I think about it, there really is no excuse for Vader to not have his helmet on. It doesn't matter how long we make the hallway or anything. How come people can just go in and open the door without knocking or anything like that?
Matt_Kenobi said:Bingowings said:He could come down in a little lift which would make him even more isolated.
I like it. It could place the chamber anywhere you want it to be.
How does one get permission to use Vader's Personal Elevator? How could Vader be caught unawares if his wall dings that someone is headed down to see him? Just playing devil's advocate here (and I really like the hallway idea).
Open up a new file, and drag and drop your already erased layer. That should allow you to insert a layer between (I use drag and drop all the time) for a new background.
adywan said:i'm actually in two minds about this now. i'm starting to like the idea of having it a bit more isolated. hmmmm, what to do. lol
I love this project. :-D
Bingowings said:He could come down in a little lift which would make him even more isolated.
But a lift wouldn't show off more of the interior... :-(
Johnny Ringo said:I really don't understand the mentality of some people but there were young kids in the audience. Needless to say they were ushered out after Rorschack started getting some decent screen time.
10:20 showing opening night. Probably 7 year old kid in front of me. Stayed the whole time, even after the film melted around midnight. Some parents...
A friend of mine is working with a RED for a commercial shoot. He said it was awesome.
I'm going to have to agree with Vaderios and others. It's a 8000-19000 meter (5-12 mile!) long ship, but from the reused hallways it looks like the entire movie takes place in about 2000 square feet. We never see anything from the interior to make this look like the huge ship it is. Maybe a change in hallway outside Vader's personal bunk would help that out.
And if there's all those officers outside, why couldn't they tell Vader about the energy shield? I guess that Vader doesn't recieve calls in there, that's why someone had to go tell him personally, then he calls Ozzel from there. It would help Veers' (right?) nervousness if there is no one around to help him if Vader decides to kill him.

I've read the list of changes in page 1 and I have a doubt: Have you noticed that Luke turns his head early to look at the Millennium Falcon taking off in Hoth?:
Greetings.
Regarding this scene, it seems Luke heard the sound of the Falcons engines, then turned in time to see it fly past. With his helmet on, he wouldn't have any periphery vision so the falcon would not have caught his eye unless he heard it first. I don't see this scene as being a blooper. It flows pretty naturally.
This scene might be improved if possible by tracking the path of the falcon for just a little longer. Maybe.
If he didn't have any periphery vision, he would have been looking even more straightly at it or behind it, not looking far ahead of it.

I know that it's been mentioned before, so I wouldn't worry about it.
Shadows was a terrible book. No character acted the way they were supposed to. Part of the book is Leia fighting against some kind of pheremones Xizor lets off that makes her want to make out with him. It's really weird. And EVERYTHING from the beginning of RotJ is set up. The Boushh disquise, the thermal detonator, everything comes together in a nice little bow.
