How about some updated banner images?

Are those ESB shots untouched or "blue-enhanced"?

I would suggest for these ones to change the text to something like:
"Sign the Petition for a proper restoration of the Original Trilogy on Blu-ray!" (which puts the point across that the blue-cast 2004 DVD was not a proper restoration).

I was hoping someone would have suggestions for a better text.  I'll change the ESB ones to match your suggestion, at least.

Granted, the EP1 puppet was definitely not an accurate replica of the ESB Yoda, but at least he still looked REAL - he looked like he was a living, breathing creature

I disagree - he looked like a muppet. There's a certain exaggeration to Sesame Street, etc, that ESB Yoda just didn't have. TPM Yoda looks like a South Park Canadian, with his flappy head and beady eyes ;) (no offence to any Canadians, but that movie was pretty funny).

DE

HENCEFORTH, "TPM Yoda" shall be known as "Canadian Yoda".  At least to me.

Dear god, WTF is with the color? It's like someone forgot to turn off the 100% Saturation filter in Photoshop...

It's because he was using a camera in pitch darkness pointed at a massive LED screen.  The colors were more normal looking as originally shown, let me assure you.

As for CG Yoda... well... I'm just going to come right out and say it:
He looks absolutely terrible to me.

Granted, the EP1 puppet was definitely not an accurate replica of the ESB Yoda, but at least he still looked REAL - he looked like he was a living, breathing creature (another benefit of using real props, George...). This new CG Yoda looks so damn fake to me, I can't f***ing stand it!

The puppet may have been a real object, but something went wrong somewhere.  The color was off, the shape was off, the ears were off, the eyes were constantly looking two different directions.  Sure the CGI Yoda looks fake, but at least it looks like YODA (and matches the rest of the PT for consistency's sake).  Unless someone is planning on making a Yoda puppet that looks like Yoda and replacing every shot in the prequels with it, I think this CGI is the best we're going to get (whenever that may be).

And Octorox is right, Yoda looks downright pissed off in every shot (could the CG artists at least bother to give the character more than one expression?)

Well, it does show that he doesn't like/trust Anakin...  And its better than looking at, but not really looking at who he's talking to. ;-)

I like it, but I think the blue half should be more obviously blue (even if it's not 100% accurate).  I didn't notice it at first.

I'll make versions that are more blue, but I'll post the unadulterated ones as I make them, to confirm formats.

For example:

The side banner.

I'm using the example screenshots from Adywan's AVCHD, for you wondering.

UPDATED both posts with the exaggerated blue.

I'll say it again, I think the original colors for laser blasts, text, and Shwartz rings should be kept the original colors. The way the director intended it? ;-)

As a piss-take on the SE DVDs it might be a laugh to have the green Schwartz sometimes blue for no reason and the orange turn pink.

Applying bizarre tints which can be switched off by a inserted 'switch off tint' button might be a nice added joke.

Yogurt suddenly becoming CGI and doing cartwheels and then turning back into Brookes and adding a rubbish looking Pizza The Hut into the beginning of the film might work too.

Is making a window disappear mid sequence asking too much?

All of the words spoken by my friend, Bingowings, are true and should be implemented.

the orange isn't just for the football team,  that is your college's colors.   All your sports team wear those colors.   I can't see how stores being empty on Saturday would be an annoyance.  As for the Sportstalk,  if you don't like it, don't listen.   Surely there must be other radio stations to listen to.   4 hours a day is nothing.  In Philly,  we two stations that talk Philly sports 24/7.  What's wrong with people  being nicer and friendlier.   As for putting your pride in a bunch of 18-22 year olds,  I guess if you aren't a sports fan, you wouldn't understand.

None of this is an "annoyance" exactly, but the reason I don't like college football is that the entire county I grew up in hinged their entire lives upon it.  They took it way too seriously for my tastes.

The colors are off on both the screencaptures I found online and the screencaptures I made off of a YouTube video of a guy pointing a camera at a massive LED screen, but here is the visual comparison of Yodas:

I've never lived on a College Campus,  what is the big problem with the football culture?

Example (and I didn't even go there myself):

University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  Everything is that disgusting color of orange, including the McDonalds on campus.  The best time to go shopping?  Saturday, as everyone will either be in the stadium or at home watching/listening to the game.  I mentioned that talk radio station?  "SportsTalk" was on for four hours every day, near constant talk of college football.  You used to FEEL it in the air when the team lost, as the entire city got depressed.  When they won the National Championship, it seemed like everyone was nicer and friendlier for several months.  I used to make fun of Peyton Manning back then (until he got drafted by the Colts, my hometown NFL team) as being like their Jesus and football their religion.  They take football and their college pride way too seriously for my tastes.  The entire county put their pride in a bunch of 18-22 year olds who could do no wrong.

Hey this is off topic but those looking for more of the CGI Yoda proof in EP1 look no further than here starting at 2:17 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NF8yjbNzyi8&feature=related This is even more than the ROTS DVD showed on it's short documentary of the EP 1 CGI Yoda.

This is from STAR WARS IN CONCERT.

IS it me or did they screw with the color in that scene (again!) Could someone put up a Spit screen comparison

I'll try my best!

I forgot something else about the OT videos.  Not only did the Mos Eisley Cantina video have random shots from the pub in Episode II, it ended with the infamous Greedo-shooting-while-Han-shoots-twice!

The colors were still messed up, for those hoping for them to be previews of a newly remastered Blu-ray.  ANH was dark, ESB was blue, RotJ still had green matte boxes, etc.  Heck, one video ended with the shot of Vader and Luke's sabers crossed in front of the Emperor, but it was definitely the 2004, what with Vader's being pink and Luke's not going all the way across.
