But seriously, where do y'alls think that the AT-ST is more impractical; Hoth or Endor? :p Tripping on logs and Ewoks, or tripping on chunks of ice and cracks in the ground? Sure they have big feet, but blimey, it must have some supercomputer that scans the ground around it all the time...

You mean like C3-PO must have in order to demonstrate bipedal motion?

You mean, they have eyes? ;-)

Nice to see that Ady's back in form with another massive game of "Confirm/Deny". Some are a shame, others make perfect sense.

Take your time, Ady. I'd rather have one totally complete version in multiple formats in September than a rough draft in May in some formats and a final version in June in other formats.

I've also been thinking about titles, has Adywan mentioned anything about renaming any of the prequels?

I don't think he will, since I'm guessing he will just add Revisited to the title. He can't say Fall of the Jedi Revisited. Although, I would love to see AOTC renamed.

I've asked Ady in PM if he was going to rename the prequels, and he said that he hadn't come to a decision on that matter and probably wouldn't until after RotJR.

I think calling them "Episode I: Revisited" (Ep1R) and so on would work, with people calling them by whatever subtitle Ady comes up with if they so choose. Like:

Adywan's Star Wars Episode II: Revisited: Jar Jar's Great Adventure. ;-)

I don't have images to put behind them (I'm hoping to commission Angel for a series), but I threw together a rough teaser poster series with this theme:

How Many Star Wars Related DVDs do you have- how do you keep up with them?
Time

I have my Star Wars DVD's stacked on a shelf from top down:

The Phantom Menace (standard case)
Attack of the Clones (standard case)
Revenge of the Sith (standard case)
A New Hope: Revisited (4 DVD case, containing DVD-9, DVD-5, XVID, and PURIST discs with Adywan's cover)
A New Hope 2004 (standard case)
A New Hope: Wookieegroomer Splitscreen v2 (unlabeled thin case)
The Empire Strikes Back 2004 (standard case)
The Empire Strikes Back: Wookieegroomer Splitscreen v2 (unlabeled thin case)
Return of the Jedi 2004 (standard case)
Return of the Jedi: Wookieegroomer Splitscreen v2 (unlabeled thin case)
The Ewok Adventures (standard case)

It's not much, but my friends always wonder why I have so many Star Wars DVDs, and especially why I have two labeled A New Hopes.

I have Adywan's color-corrected AVCHDs of TPM, ANH, and ESB on one of my computers, but I haven't burned them yet or figured out where I'm going to put them on the shelf...

I saw the message from the facebook ESB:R group- is there any truth to the statement about people helping you to film new Hoth stuff? If so, cool.

There's a discussion on the boards there about it. Yes, apparently some people are making outfits and are going to run around in the snow for some long shots! Specifically for Luke getting up as the walker he blows up is falling, but it sounds like more may be done while they're out there.

Deadmeat, we did have a discussion about this recently, but it would be impossible for Adywan to scale up the ship as they are crawling all over it the entire time its on screen. There is a plan to build a new hanger with a new highly-detailed model Falcon, but Ady has never really specified which shots were going to be fixed by that and I'm thinking it might be scrapped because it will take forever to build and detail this crazy model he found.

Fractalsponge's 3dmeshes used in Family Guy : Credit Not Given - Awaiting RotJ
Time

That's very interesting. It's almost like the Family Guy animators asked Lucasfilm for a model of the Executor and they said "go find your own!"

I think he should get credit, and since its not out, he might already be credited if it was in his mesh. It's not like trailers have full credits (either for TFU or SSSDS).

"Alert my Star Destroyer to prepare for my arrival." What was the point?

"Alert my star Destroyer to prepare for my arrival" simply doesn't work in that scene (heard it was leftover dialogue from SW) and the fact that the snippet from ROTJ with Jejerrod is on the end just goes to show how pitiful the thought process was.

Too bad no one ever called them "Star Destroyers" in ANH. And where would he have been arriving from in that movie?

I have no idea where they found the line, but it couldn't have been ANH.

I just posted this over on Ash's thread but it might fit here too.

One of the oft quoted problems with starting the film on Dagobah (as suggested by some variations of the Fan-O-Matic idea) is that we lose the traditional format of starting OT films with a Star Destroyer.

ESB doesn't start with a major Star Destroyer scene (we only get the probe droid being launched) it's then a long time before Vader gets his big entrance.

Perhaps it could start with a Star Destroyer launching construction droids at the building site and that being dwarfed by the enormous scale of the Death Star.

Then we could cut to Dagobah and back to Vader arriving without breaking the tradition.

Ominous, silent half completed Death Star II? I kind of like that idea, going with the rearrangement, of course.

Sorry, dual 22" monitors here.

I'm sorry you're awesome. ;-)

The eye does better comparisons horizontally rather vertical.

I did not know that. It seems to me that my on-top comparisons are easier for me to see the differences than your side-by-side....
