STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

No, i said there would be no purist version of ESB:R. I stated that there would be a AVCHD 720p DL-DVD, a NTSC & PAL DVD-9 & 5 and there will be a bonus disc on DVD-5 with all the extras. The DVD-9's will have the extra audio tracks if i can get hold of them and the AVCHD will have the option (& the tools to do it) to swap the default English 5.1 audio track with one of the optional foreign language tracks that will be available separately. But the AVCHD will only have the 5.1 English track and maybe an isolated score

I shall put this in a proposed list form, as it is my thing:

Versions of ANHR:

XVID (English 5.1, movie only)
DVD5 NTSC/PAL (English 5.1, text commentary only)
DVD9 NTSC/PAL (English 5.1, bonus features)
DVD5 NTSC Purist (English 5.1, movie only)

Versions of ESBR:

DVD5 NTSC/PAL (English 5.1, movie only)
DVD9 NTSC/PAL (English 5.1, Spanish 2.0?, French 2.0?, Italian 2.0?, movie only)
DVD5 NTSC/PAL (bonus features only)
DVD9 AVCHD (720p movie only, English 5.1, isolated score?, instructions for replacing audio with foreign language)

That seem right, Ady?

I didn't mean to sound like I'm telling you what to do with your edit, but if you're really planning on having half a dozen foreign tracks included, wouldn't it be better to have a separate multilangual version of ESB:R?

An extra gigabyte for the video might not be *that* noticeable, but it can definitely add some extra detail on bigger displays.

Your call in the end, but I just hope you'll at least consider it :)

Ady says ANHR was only 6 GB and looks great on larger displays, leaving over 3 GB for just extra audio. If people want to watch it in English on a large display, they'll be able to use the AVCHD version which is pure 720p goodness.

Hey guys, remember that job I was telling you about a few hours ago? Yeah, turns out the job was posted with the wrong requirements, requirements I don't meet, so they can't give me the job.

Of course, I wouldn't have even known that they were going to offer me the job if I didn't work at the corporate office, so I guess its my own fault for getting excited about a job I shouldn't have known I was getting.

Now one of the guys who told me about the job is going to talk to the people who changed the requirements to see what happened.

The US Military is screwed up, I know that much.

When will people learn to stop dubbing movies, it's a disgrace and disrespectful to the original actors.

Adult-oriented movies, yes.

What's wrong 005, you don't find the moaning believable?

;-)

And here while I was typing it, I was thinking "oh man, I'd better make sure I put '-oriented' in this or TVF will make a joke about it."

I can't win. I deliberately try to NOT set you up and you take it as a set up. EVERY TIME. ;-)

ALTERNATE TAKE:

I thought long and hard about what to type so that TVF wouldn't be stimulated to respond to what I posted in a naughty manner, but it didn't work.

We're actually going to NYC in August. While we could afford it at my current pay, it would be a lot easier with the extra money.

Ah yes, the National Youth Competition! You're lucky to get to go to that. I wish I could afford it with my pay; how I do love my rugby.

I meant New Yor-- you know, forget about it. Yes, rugby!

So I'm getting the job I interviewed for the other day. The problem is that because its in the same company, they're making deals behind the scenes to keep me in my current position for another month. I know I'm only one of three IT people for a company of 350, but they can't keep me here forever. Thankfully, the people who are hiring for my new position really like me, and I'm sure they'll hold out for me as long as necessary.

But we've already started planning on what to do with the additional pay, I can't wait 6 weeks for the new pay!

Then wait a few years, and the Kenner Special Offer is!!!!!

So using the massive brain of a 9 years old I put my celebration of aliens together with a desire to know who the last hope was and Whaaala!

Admiral Ackbar is the Last Hope of the Jedi.

See even the figure came with a black notched light saber.

ALIENS RULE!!!!

I usually feel bad for making threads, but your post makes the whole thing worth it. Thanks none!

Just a quick question: what different audio languages are available for the ESB GOUT or original theatrical laserdisc/ VHS versions ?

Are you talking about this ?...

The VHS exist in french. Though, I prefered to have the English unsubtitled. Is it the best sourced version about the picture quality in VHS...? (sorry for my lack of knowledge). I believe they are.

I think Adywan is talking original theatrical editions. Still not sure why, as I was under the impression he bases the audio on the 97 SE...

This shouldn't be for complete alternate audio tracks, as he would have to replicate every new cue and sound effect on every track. It would take up a great deal of space on the disc.

Childhood Misconceptions (aka The Trap Thread, but misconceptions still welcome)
Time

I was watching RotJ the other night and remembered a few parts of the movie I took at face value as a kid (1983-1995) and only realized what was going on the first time I really watched them (November 1995, when I got the Faces VHS set).

Luke's Message: When 3PO says "R2, you're playing the wrong message!" I seriously thought that R2 had indeed played the wrong message. It didn't really occur to me why I would think that Luke had recorded two messages to Jabba.

Yoda's Race: When Yoda says "When 900 years old you reach, look as good you will not!" I took that to mean that Yoda was just an extremely old human, and if Luke lived to be 900 he would look exactly like Yoda.

Anyone else young enough to have misconceptions like mine?

Was Goats really any good? I thought it looked pretty good from the trailer but it got awful reviews.

My wife and I thought it looked pretty good from the trailers, but it turned out not to be. Complete misinformation campaign, not funny movie. Goes nowhere slow.

Ideas and Suggestions for :Star Trek The Motion Picture (True Fan Edit)

You know Jeyl, it seems like you don't like any of the changes FF is making... What do you want to be fanedited? :-P

Not like his changes? What gave you that impression? It's his edit and I'm anxious to see what he'll turn up. Have I not thrown in suggestions here and there about how I would edit things differently? Just because I say that there's one line in the film that doesn't bother me doesn't meean I don't like any of what he's going to change.

Relax. I'm not here trying to stop anyone.

Sorry, I'm just over-reacting. I appreciate you being here to bounce ideas off of. Please don't let me upset you.
