STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

I've actually looked into Kickstarter for the project. Some of the downsides would be that you have to have a US bank account and I think it might even be TOO much exposure. I can see funding a fan film or something on there, but I think a fan edit rides the legal line too much that it would probably be taken down, either by Kickstarter or LFL, either of which would bring attention we don't necessarily want.

I never noticed the blue TIEs because my toy was bright white! Once it was pointed out to me, I figured that they should all be grey, for continuity's sake. I really like the blue shade they should be though...

I thought efforts to color the ANH TIEs weren't successful? And do you have to recolor the TIEs you already desaturated, or did you go back to the base and tweak it?

I'm curious as to the logic behind this. Is it because it's easier to color ANH than to color ESB & ROTJ (the ROTJ battle, for example...) or is it because everything grey makes it a little more lifeless than it needs to be?
The lifelessness. Ady was tired of looking at black and white space shots!

I don't know if everyone noticed (I didn't), but Ady made the TIEs blue again, and confirmed on Facebook that not only will all the TIEs be the proper shade of blue in ESBR and RotJR, but he will be coloring the TIEs in ANHRHD! He also mentioned that the Death Star walls won't be so grey, so those of you that didn't care for that will be pleased.

I just can't understand why the issue of the OOT not being released on blu-ray is a big issue it's not a huge deal for me.
The 2004 version of Star Wars did not win the Academy Awards for Editing and Visual Effects. That edit and those visual effects are gone, lost to time. No other modern movie has this problem, it just so happens to be one of the most popular movies of all time. They cannot claim to be the same award-winning movie when the things it won awards for have been replaced, badly.

That's what gets me riled up.

Here's how my thought process went when opening this newsletter.

Wow, a picture of Cyber-Security! It looks just like the movies!
Wait, its lit like the movies...
Is that a widescreen image?
What's with the typeface on the picture? It looks like one of those establishing-
Oh my.
Let me Google search "FBI Cyber-Security movie".
"Live Free or Die Hard"? Huh.
Yep, there it is, right in the first couple minutes of the movie.

So James Spader is going to be the new owner of Dunder-Mifflin on The Office. The press release says this:

Some of Spader's credits include: Steven Soderbergh's "sex, lies and videotape," which won him the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival; David Croenenberg's "Crash," which won the Special Jury Prize at Cannes; and Steven Shainberg's "Secretary," which won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Feature. His other film credits include “2 Days in the Valley,” “Wolf,” and "Less Than Zero." Spader will be shooting Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks feature "Lincoln" later this year while he is shooting "The Office."

I don't know about you, but my first experience with Spader was "Stargate". You know, the movie that spawned 4 TV shows running over the last 15 years? Sure, he wasn't in the series, but you could at least name drop it.

And I can't believe they're seriously continuing The Office.

I mean, could this be for real?:

The guy who posted it claims that they are straight screenshots from VLC.

But some of the others he posted didn't look that bad and they definitely looked beautiful in terms of detail.
What a terrible screenshot grabber guy. Not even close on frames. ;-)

You know, I suspect that if these movies came out in sequential order rather than OT, then PT, people would see them as inferior but still decent films.
As filmed, TPM has no introduction to any of the Star Wars staples. People who hadn't seen the others could infer from what they heard if they saw TPM first. The current TPM could not have been the first movie.
