Traded in AC2 and LEGO Star Wars and got AC:Bro and the guide to Zelda 3D. Now the wife is going to finally finish Red Dead Redeption so we can trade it in (we have 40% more coupons for Gamestop).

While we were at Gamestop, my wife decided she wants Skyrim (or "The New Oblivion", as she calls it). So we preordered that (which gives us a map of Skyrim) and it's guide. Then the guy said that Oblivion is getting re-released next week and you get $10 off Skyrim if you preorder it. So we're getting that.

I got to preorder AC:Revelations, which gives me a Vlad the Impaler mission, but no Penny Arcade poster.

Now I'm watching my wife play RDR. I'm going to miss it...

I got into Google+. It's a stripped down Facebook, I'd like it a lot if I had more friends on there. I wish the Invite function would turn back on. It's hard to beta test a social network without a network of socialness.
Break it down for me, oh-oh.  In what ways does it differ from the facebooks?

I only joined facebook once I had the sense that it might be the last network I'd have to join.  After joining flixster, shelfari, and others.
Without anyone else there (they cut off the invites minutes after i got in), it s hard to tell. So far its quieter...

But seriously, it seems to be more of a social collaboration tool. You do updates and have timelines, but you can't make an update until AFTER you choose which groups of friends to share it with (or make it public). That way you could share Star Wars links with your Star Wars friends, religious links with your church friends, etc. It also has a great group video chat feature and group messaging.
