And 7 people are wanting the Prequel set only? Say what you will about the prequels, but no bonus features at all makes any trilogy-only purchase kind of silly to me. I guess there really are people out there who only like the prequels.
Well, that's not necessarily the case, there may be peolpe who like the prequels and love the OT but hate the SEs, especially in their current colour screwed up form - these people may buy the PT set only.
That had crossed my mind as well, I just couldn't find the words.

I'll buy them, but I won't be happy about it. (16%, 172 Votes)

It's this group that gets me. I guess Ady, Jambe, etc who are using it for editing or review purposes would buy it but not be happy, but it reads more like people who are forced to buy the movies.

If a few fanedits/reconstructions I like are made using the set, I'll probably fall into this camp.
True, true. I'll probably pick it up used at some point, but I'm in no hurry. I have decided I'm in a hurry to pick up used copies of the GOUT, in case they do disappear.

The first guys seem to have officially bought the complete saga set. The MF forum is discussing the content here:

Sounds like the DVD deleted scenes are not included. I understand not wanting to make it a complete double dip, but there's a fine line between double-dip and having to keep multiple copies of movies if you want all of the bonus features.

And the Yoda/Qui-Gon scene in Episode 3 is in animatic form with no voices. How is that a bonus feature?

ROTJ: During the Vader throws down Palpatine scene (which is critisized the most in this release) GL talks in the audio commentary about how you can read his emotions from the mask. It's such ironical.
Ah, the beauty of using a commentary from 2004. Now there are official releases that have Lucas changing his mind on things as you watch!

I have a question if they did not do a entirely new mix for the blu rays, where did they get the extra channel or channels of sound, the last mix was 5.1 EX and this is 6.1. DTS HD MA
Faked it, I'm assuming. The extra channel is a center rear speaker, leak some of the sound from the L and R surrounds to it, ta-da, 6.1!

I mean, if Dolby ProLogic has been able to take a stereo signal and make it 4 channels on the fly for years, certainly the technology isn't beyond LFL's grasp. ;-)

I hate it when I post a reference to a song in my fb status and no one catches it.
We catch it, its just that we chuckle and move on our way. You and Johnny Ringo seem to do that a lot. Not that I'm complaining, I rarely update my status at all.

I'd be upset at myself that I'm not b*tching about something, but who cares, we don't have a mod in here! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Some Blu-ray changes I didn't see listed yet:

SW

The reel change before the oil bath might be a few frames shorter when it fades to black.
I'm going to have to have a video to compare this, There's no reason to have it faded to black any longer, they already redid the fades.
There is one more shot of Vader's white saber that is now red.
When? Help us find it.

Empire

The Ugnaught garbage dump has sparks in the doorway
Ive got the shot, I just need to add it.

Jedi

When R2 goes haywire there are more digital gadgets added to him.
I've already got this one, thanks.

But yes, most of that list is wrong.

I heard the 2006 set with the GOUT is now gone...
Time

I think its more that Lucas sees DVD/BD as the same format, and since only one version of Star Wars is allowed per format, they're cleaning the shelves for the "digitally remastered" (2011) version of the movie on DVD. The GOUT was supposed to be unavailable January 1, 2007, it's overdue to go back.

As much as I wish that its so they can actually release the originals in decent quality, I doubt it.
