So they link to your Digital Fanedits page and a review of Revisited instead of our page. That would explain the influx of linkage from BitesizeGeek yesterday.TV's Frink said:

OT.com is given much attention.
(they even mention TV's Frink's Rediculousness)
Wow, that's really cool...
Hey wait, they linked to the digital fanedits page instead of my threads either here or at FE...you know, the place that banned me and changed my avatar to a rat because they're a bunch of insecure nutjobs?
This will not stand.
Anyone know how I can contact them to fix this? I don't see any way to do it.
All of the CG models are available on scifi3d.
New wallpaper on the site.

Keep in mind, this particular one is used very seldom in long shots to replace some of the cutouts that were used originally.
I have to admit, that AT-AT display is pretty bad-ass. It also made me realize, ALL of the promotion signage is OT stuff, save for CG Yoda, who is still an OT character. Where are the Trade Federation ship displays? ;-)FunkyDays said:
Walked into Future Shop yesterday morning to buy some coffee for my Keurig. My wife says "Do I need to hold you back from the SW display"? Ha ha ha! I go in, and find "every" copy in their AT-AT display sold out! That thing held a lot of copies, and I know they refilled it throughout the day, the day before. Wife looks at me and says "You might as well just buy the damned thing". The sad thing is, I know she's right :-(
His urgency? "MOVE MOVE MOVE! CHEWIE!" What was the plan for Chewie to want to run off like an excited puppy down the wrong corridors, for Han to have to yell at him like that?rpvee said:
Loved Han's urgency in the Bunker raid.
EDIT: The Falcon crew is pretty damn flawless in terms of quality. Beautifully preserved, and so neat seeing those firing chambers again!

I don't get all of the shots inside the Falcon. It's like they said "we built these sets, we're going to use them!", except that when they got to editing they said "why did we shoot these shots, we'll never use them!"
I still can't get over that the only movie in the OT to not have the full-sized Falcon exterior or interior has them BOTH in deleted scenes.
I was at Walmart and I couldn't resist. I told myself I didn't need to get it yet, that I could wait until it was available used...
But I have a weakness for these Marvel films, and I think Kenneth Branagh did a great job in making one of the most ridiculous Avengers into on of the most human.
Wait, that's not what we're talking about here, is it? ;-)
Pretty sure that's in 2004... Can anyone compare for us?
Sped up to cut down on production costs? Yes, because (early?) Laserdiscs and CED Videodiscs could only HOLD 120 minutes. Did you really want the movies spread out across two discs for an extra 5 minutes? But speeding them up to cut down on production costs is not how I would describe it.
Final word:
The individual members of the Revisited Project support the "boycott" for the reason of getting the original versions properly restored. As for giving the money one would have spent on the Blu-ray set to the Project, that is up to the individual. Our fund raiser / pledge drive this week was for 1 of whatever currency one uses. We will eventually ask everyone to own a legitamite copy of the Blu-rays once Ady starts using them as a source. By that point, there will be plenty of used copies available. Whatever one chooses to do with their money until that point is up to them.
We do not support piracy of a readily available product.
So I tried twice more to burn RotJ, both times are extremely glitchy on my Blu-ray player, while the stream file is fine. Same with ESB, so I'm going to blame my Blu-ray player, though I haven't had this problem before.
I'm interested, if only to get you to update your blog! What have you been up to, Mojo? ;-)Mojo_LA said:
If enough people want it maybe I can post it on my blog.
I'm game!
Yes, and no one is saying you have to buy them TODAY from your local retailer. I'm boycotting giving Lucas any more money, I'm not deluded that I will never own the Blu-rays, I'm just going to buy it used or get it as a gift. I know, its a lame boycott, but it's still a stand I'm going to make, which I think will make a huge difference to my friends who know me and my history with Star Wars.
Funny, I came up with both!timdiggerm said:
ARSE is short for ANH:R:SE which stands for "A New Hope : Revisited : Special Edition" which refers to the HD redo of "A New Hope : Revisited" that Adywan'll be doing after he does ROTJ:R but before he tackles his prequel project.
It has associations in my head with the line that someone on here came up with about how Lucas's attempts at fixing the films are only half-assed, but here at OT.com, we go full-assed!
But yeah, it's a joke.
My thoughts too.mrbenja0618 said:
The blue milk scene is interesting only from a standpoint of "Wow, new shot!". Other than that, I don't really see the point of being in an edit. Just my opinion.
No overlap at all. None of the deleted scenes from the DVDs are on the Blus.georgec said:
What's the overlap on deleted scenes from the prequel dvds and those on the blu-rays? Is all the old stuff included with additional new deleted scenes/animatics?
I'm not really understanding how one can be a "whore" for a format that won its format war. Back in the day, I didn't like how he chose what I felt was the wrong side, but I got over it.MJPollard said:
To be perfectly honest, I'm starting to respect Hunt's opinions less and less these days. The fact that he (and The Digita Bits by extension) is a Blu-ray whore is a big part of the reason, and his "it's Star Wars on Blu-ray!" pandering (while only giving lip service to fans' objections) only serves to reaffirm my beliefs.
Lestrade said:
Disappointing that Bill Hunt gave the movie a big shrug and a, "Well, it's Star Wars on Blu-Ray" like everyone else.

It's hard to tell, but he bolded the section about Hunt having bootlegs of the 97SE.TV's Frink said:

I was reading Bill Hunts review on the Star Wars BD Set and this caught my attention.
A number of fans have complained about the fact that the original theatrical versions of the classic films are not included in this Blu-ray set. While it's true and is certainly a legitimate complaint, no fan in their right mind could seriously have expected them to be included, given Lucas' attitude in the past. Still, I have a sneaking suspicion that Lucas is going to have to release the original versions of the films at some point in the future. The reason I've started to believe that is because of the deleted scenes that WERE included on these Blu-rays. This is material that Lucas has been reluctant to make available in the past, but they were needed for this Blu-ray set simply to give fans a compelling reason to buy the films again. After this Blu-ray release, I just don't see ANYONE buying these films again for any reason (certainly not for 3D!) unless those original versions are part of the package. Regardless, even if there's never an authorized release, rest assured that so many prints of those original films exist in the hands of film archives (and even private collectors) around the world that, sooner or later, someone is going to throw them up on an HD scanner, make high-quality HD masters and release them as bootlegs - either for free online, or on BD-R or other digital media sold at conventions. How do I know that? Well, I've actually had bootleg HD copies of the "special edition" Star Wars films for a couple years now, mastered from European HD satellite broadcasts, made available online and burned to BD-R media. Trust me, the original versions WILL be available eventually in HD, legally or not. Frankly, the sooner Lucas realizes this and takes proactive steps to release them himself the better.
LOL. He's certainly ingrained himself here, eh?theprequelsrule said:
I was truly stunned when I found out that Frink has only been a member for about 2 years! I always assumed he was one of the original members.
Yes, for being a guy who has insiders with LFL, he certainly seems a lot like us. Heck, he was one of us, I think!
