1) The blue saber fix in the training on the falcon scene has some black flicker towards the hilt in several shots.

2) I'm curious why you left Vader's saber as white as he approaches the door after he's "killed" Obi Wan. I know this was an original mistake but in Hi Def, it really sticks out, and you seemed to have no problem fixing the other saber shots. All in the name of original preservation I suppose.

The lightsaber fixes are interesting from the shots I've seen.

In ANH, they're all brightness changes for the entirety of the few shots they modified:


But in RotJ, they are entirely new cores that have been CGIed to the glows:

Added none's shots from the lightsaber duels to the 2011 Comps. The ANH ones are all brightness adjustments of the whole frame, and all of the RotJ ones saves for the Emperor cross are new cores. Check this out:



How did that happen in 04? 97 has the same bright core as the original that masks out the background.

Are we being serious? I don't know anymore...

I want to steal that, but I'm not sure what I'd do with it.

I used 005's changes album as the reference, but there were shots in the saber duel that he didn't include (an other shots had multiple pics for a single shot) so I had to go through that shot by shot myself to get each cut; there were a lot. I suspect this may also be the case with the trench run regarding some of the cockpit BG replacements, as the changes album only includes the one shot of Luke. So, my spreadsheet might need to have more added. The 2011 changes aren't included, but I did note when the 2004 version introduced something or modified something, but I didn't include the 1981 crawl as a change.

TPM: Lights added on back of sith probes, CGI yoda included this time. I couple more added Podrace scenes to the already added scenes.

AOTC: Just a couple expansions on scenes to show more of the envirnment.

ANH: When on the cliff looing out to Mos Eisly, a couple more ships are seen taking off. Added one shot with lasers coming from the Falcon in the death star escape scene. Obi-Wan's Krayt Dragon call was a mix of both the Original, SE, and some added effects.

ESB: Tuan Tuans blink a couple times. The line, "You could use a good kiss" is gone. Possibly another Tie fighter/Bomber or SD added in the Empire Reveal scene.

ROTJ: Sebulba like character enters the main room in Jabba's palace while LUke is confronting Oliff. Added a scene where the Falcon flys past the bridge of the SD after the Tie Fighter crashes into it. When the SSD crashes into the Death Star, you can see the Star Destroyer fleet above. Darth Vader does the "No" line twice. Once very suttle, the other one the same as ROTS only shortened.

Are these for real? Most of these haven't been mentioned by anyone else, at least what I've seen. I don't mean the rocks and nooos of course but Han's line, added ships and scenes.

I think one major hurdle is the cost but to be economical you could just scan in the parts that were specialized.  people seem to forget that we already have about 80% of the original unaltered trilogy in HD.
