Please take the "I Miss The 90's" conversation to the The Village Planning Thread.

I was posting in these parts long before you came along, little yellow turd. ;)

I think I may have said that you said to see that, but my wife said "who cares?"xhonzi said:

Thanks a lot, 005. First Ringo and his 1 ball and now this.
if you grab the others, I'll put them up as is.
Sounds good. I just wish there was a way to move the camera back to its original position, as they completely messed up that shot in the SE:adywan said:
As for the meditation chamber view screen, i have removed all of the graphics and have just kept the outer detailing. It did look too busy so i'm going to keep those to use in ROTJ:R

My local drive-in had the new film a few weeks ago and the signs out front said "John Carter of Mars". I applauded as I drove past.SilverWook said:
It aired as "A Princess of Mars", but for the DVD it's been retitled "John Carter of Mars". A dig at Disney's cryptic marketing scheme?
Finished it yesterday. Super impressed, definitely shows what fan edits can accomplish. You can fix the movie (Revisited), you can restore the movie (Despecialized), you can mock the movie (Ridiculous), you can tweak the movie to remove things you don't like (every other edit), or you can do what TMBTM has done and make completely different movies altogether. You have to make an effort to forget what you know, because everything is different. It's not flawless, there are parts that could still be trimmed and some of the cuts are hard, but if you can overlook those, you have a real alternate universe view of the Star Wars films. My biggest problem is that we can't have a War of the Stars 3. Unless we recast the actors and do it ourselves...
It was way past our bedtime! Sorry we had ridden our wussy motorcycles all morning. For charity!

Now that is something I'd stay up for! ;-)TV's Frink said:
I'm definitely up for doing this again some time. Maybe even for the world premiere of AOTR...

SynchTube neither syncs nor tubes. Why is that?
T-005 HOURS!
I'll have to check out the comics. I agree, I wish it had lived longer. I love when Victor gets imprinted with Topher, that actor is incredible at impersonating every nuance of the other actor.asterisk8 said:
Watched all of Dollhouse last week. Really enjoyed it, but I agree with those who say that it feels rushed in season 2. Especially Epitaph One and Two, you can really tell they are packing 2 seasons worth of plot into two episodes. How much better it would've been to spread those reveals out, give them room to breathe. I really could've used some more fun, filler-type episodes that played with the concept, too. I enjoyed the episode where Topher imprints Sierra as a gamer and nerd and they celebrate his birthday. More of that kind of stuff really would've helped make the epic moments stand out more. Would've loved some more time spent in the Attic, too.
The Epitaphs comics definitely help flesh out the end of the series, and show what an entire season's worth of episodes would've focused on. It would've been great television.
All in all, I would give Dollhouse an 8/10.

if it is just going be 48Op, one might as stay home and watch their DVD of the movie.
A screening of Star Trek: The Motion Picture—The Director’s Edition (DVD source)At least they're honest, though a 480p image blown up on a theater screen is going to be awful. And at least its not the theatrical version?
...
After the panel, stay for a rare theatrical screening of the Director’s Cut of Star Trek: The Motion Picture!
I heard his principal is Agent Coulson. That's cool.
My wife told me the other day that our friends are staying with someone else. My first thought was That means I can watch the livestream!TV's Frink said:

Most of them...so, two?

Having slept on it (the idea of the poster, not a copy of the poster itself), I like it much better now. I also read that apparently there are many sewers in the movie, so this is kind of a sewer-becomes-gun-barrel thing so it's not just a twist on an iconic image, it is teasing a bit of the movie.
It is a well-known fact that Valve doesn't believe in the number 3.

New Bond poster. The most cliche teaser imaginable, with a tiny Bond walking down a gun-barrel.
Still excited about the movie, just disappointed in the poster.
Why am I not surprised?adywan said:
I've just watched the 1080i version this. Unfortunately most of the footage was taken from the 2004 versions, with the couple of clips from the unaltered version being taken from the GOUT. Very disappointing.
