STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

I was watching a few of Ady's Yoda clips on youtube (When Yoda's lips move more) and in the description of one video that was released in 2009 stated that the effects weren't finished. So does this mean that Ady improved Yoda's lips moving even further?
Usually that's code for "please don't nitpick the effects." Ady is constantly tinkering, I haven't noticed any changes since then, but anything would have been subtle.

I will say this for those things. The idea that humans evolved into them makes me laugh but other then that they do look pretty amazing. If they had just been some random alien creature of the week i don't think anyone would be laughing at them. My hat goes off to the special effects people who didn't let the fact that it was a bad story stop them from doing something that I think looks pretty impressive on a TV show budget.
You change a couple words to say that going to Warp 10 causes mutuation, then the episode is downgraded to "forgettable". Brannon Braga keeps apologizing, but it never seems like enough.

I'm a huge TNG fan (nostalgia goggles firmly in place) but the devolving episode has always been one where, once I remember that's the one I'm watching, I skip to the next episode.

I've never grasped how this show doesn't even show a grade school level understanding of evolution/Natural Selection, although to be fair, that's oddly common in sci-fi.

Pardon me for asking. But what is the 4th wall you are referring to and why is so bad by braking it?
If you think of a traditional 3-camera television studio set, they usually build only three walls. The fourth wall is the wall you or the studio audience has to imagine is there. "Breaking the fourth wall" on purpose is like Frank Underwood talking to the camera in "House of Cards", but we're talking about doing it on accident, like seeing the edges of a set or a boom mic, something that takes you out of the illusion of what you're watching being a real thing.

We don't even know that Lucas even knows about this change. We didn't even KNOW this was an SE change until recently. We know nothing about the logic behind it.

The only point that needs to be said is that Ady prefers the wider shot, NOT because Lucas himself cropped it, but because he thinks it looks better. This is his edit that he is sharing online. It's his call, no matter the reasonings behind it.

I never imagined that Ady restoring something back to the original would draw so much ire.

*thinks about the Boba Fett Accent Debate*

Nevermind.

Not so much ire as uncomprehension as to why some people cannot accept and are not willing to entertain even the possibility that a change from how something was originally in the Star Wars Original Trilogy could actually be better, like its impossible that they made mistakes in the original shooting of the films or simply ran out of time to get everything as they would have liked which is the most likely case.
I'm pretty sure this project is FOCUSED on such things. This particular item a late change from the 2nd iteration of the Special Edition that Adywan doesn't care for, and it is his prerogative to change it back.

Okay, so the cockpit has to be wider in ESB to allow for more movement, fair enough, but then adjustments/compromises have to be made with framing to avoid showing the edges of the cockpit window and risking breaking the fourth wall. Either they forgot to do that for the theatrical release or GL changed his mind decades later. In either case it is an improvement in my book, one of numerous improvements GL made with the Special Editions IMHO.
The sticking point to me is that Lucas didn't direct this movie. Kershner and his DP framed it how they wanted, it seems like Lucas didn't agree, so when someone pointed it out to him 20 years later he had them crop it. There are still mistakes in the film, but by George, the cockpit will be cropped!

Most of the womanizing in TOS comes from the insistence of the network. Kirk is the hero, therefore he should get the girl. The miniskirts were the idea of Grace Lee Whitney (Yeoman Rand), so you can't really blame misogyny there.

It's incredible how much misinformation about TOS still exists, even when every episode is available at a variety of websites.

At the risk of being "that guy"...do we have an relatively updated tentative release date for ESB:R? I've plugged and pimped ANH:R to so many people that they are up my thermal exhaust port wondering when ESB:R is coming out. So just curious for myself and many others in the intersphere.

Edit: I should clarify - I'm not asking for a release date or even any hard info, just curious what the last tenatively, ballpark, estimated release time is (Early 2015, late 2014, etc...). You'd be surprised how hard it is to find the last mention of a release date, aside from this thread's title of course.
"When it's done" remains the release date. I don't think Ady wants to put what amounts to a due date on this without knowing what might go wrong between now and then, and disappointing so many people.

So we all wait. Better uneasiness at vaguarities than anger at broken promises.
