This is an IMAX scene screenshot, someone superimpose Blu-ray screenshot to verify:

My friends, jackpot.
I thought using the analogy of the dog was genius. Ward doesn't go out of his way to kill innocents he has an attachment to. If anyone is innocent, it's Fitz-Simmons.

Supposedly the perfect ratio of the spacing between objects, etc.
Do we know that the Ghost Protocol IMAX was full frame and not just a crop of the crop?
Like the time when Jack defeats the bad guy, then gets a call on his cell phone from a completely unrelated plot that he now has to do (see Day 6)?
I've been a 24 fan for over 10 years now (I love saying things like that).
I feel like these first two episodes are living up to my expectations, which is "More 24". We've got Jack outsmarting people, no one listening to him, bad guy twist reveals, Jack killing the hell out of a bunch of people, Jack swearing, Jack grunting. The new cast is full of "that person from that thing", including "The Girl From Twister's Favorite Show", "The Mayor of Laketown", "Catlyn Stark", "The Guy From Ms Congeniality", and "The Guy From Alien Resurrection Who's Not Ron Perlman".
I can't wait for next week. I hope that only having 12 episodes kept the writers focused and we don't have any filler episodes.
At least it didn't have the shockwave? Going for the entirely legal route of showing the original version, if they didn't have the "Limited Edition" DVD, they'd have to go with a VHS they digitized. Not like the producers come around here very often.
When was the last time anyone went to AICN? I'm smelling a rumor of desperation.
I think Tobar is referring to the fact that they can reference characters or events from certain books without making the whole book canon.
Oh weird.
I'm sorry, Harmy, I don't know exactly what you mean. Which one is wrong?
Starting with the most classic EU. Fantastic.
I had to look up the guy who wrote the forward. Its the new canon guy. That would be interesting to read. Is is just apologies?

The relief that it isn't the Chewie costume from the sixth film seems prevalent. Should I look up how he was portrayed, or will that be something I'm sorry I saw?
I'm somewhat curious, but hesitant.
(shut up, Frink) ;-)
I watched the most recent AoS episode over the weekend. Once again, it continues to get/remain awesome.
[SPOILERS]
The reveal of who was behind TAHITI was mind-blowing, makes you dislike Fury though for going against the recommendation to shut it down.
Hydra has The Bus. This is perhaps the most upsetting thing to me of the episode. I love that giant-ass plane.

NINETEEN SEVENTY NINE?! I don't know if that makes me feel better about it, or worse.DominicCobb said:

THE FAN-COINED "MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU" SLOGAN GETS ITS FIRST MAJOR BOOST OF EXPOSURE WHEN THE LONDON EVENING NEWS USES IT IN A HALF-PAGE CONGRATULATORY NOTE TO MARGARET THATCHER, WHO HAD JUST WON TO BECOME BRITAIN'S FIRST WOMAN PRIME MINISTER
Pft, its not like May 25 is ACTUALLY the anniversary of Star Wars.m_s0 said:

I already had ladies at a dinner thing I went to last night talking about it. We're reaching maximum saturation 18 months before it comes out.
Where's my FakeBlock?

I just got the call back. They claim that they have transferred what they say is a 1977 VHS to DVD format and are projecting that.
"the scene center will show the 1977 original unaltered version of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope"
I highly doubt that.
According to the Tech Specs on IMDB it was filmed (recorded?) in HDCAM (1080p/24). None of the reviews of Season 4 seem to be complaining of any frame rate issues. Very strange.
Yes. What he said. When my wife and I first started watching BSG, I said to her, "Oh, this is what Voyager was trying to be!"DrCrowTStarwars said:

Yeah that is what killed Voyager for me. I could have put up with some of the stupid stuff but when a show seems to forget what it's own premise is from week to week, then it loses me. They never ran out of shuttles,or people, and no matter what went wrong it was always fixed next week. For a show that was supposed to be about being out on the edge and not having any back up they sure did play it safe. That is just sad. Voyager could have been the best Star Trek series and instead it is the only one I can not stand. Yes you read that right. There are parts of Enterprise that I like but Voyager's forgetfulness of it's own basic premise pushes it over the top for me.
If it were not for Holo Doc I don't think I could have stuck with it for seven years.
A friend of mine pointed out that the premise Voyager initially promised is actually more like what BSG eventually became: dark, ragtag ship on the run, etc. Is the new BSG series any good, by the way? It's up on Netflix, I'm curious.
Yes it is. I don't think it is the best sci-fi series of all time(I think they some times fell into the trap of making things dark for no other reason then making them dark and there were some soap opera elements in the latter seasons I didn't care for)but it is still a very good show and right off the bat I said to myself "This is the show Voyager should have been." There is a ton of good in the show(Even if some of the plot elements don't make sense) and I would say that everyone who is a sci-fi fan should give it a shot. Be warned it is a little like Lost in that nothing was planed from the start(You know I am starting to think B5 was the only sci-fi show that's plot arc was planed in any detail)so there are a few things that are never completely explained or when they are explained seem a little silly. Still if you can over look that I would say watch it. It is a very well done show and is very close to how Voyager should have been done. Check it out.
