While this needs to be done, I never found a test render where it was half blocked in my SE research. I seem to recall something they made for one of those IMAX SFX reels maybe having the moon at a better angle.

I was asking about the the 2020 FHD blu-rays that came out with the 4k ones. But I guess since those come from the same “new” sources as the 4K versions, the colors, the tighter framing etc. are identical to those of the 4k ones. Minus the higher resolution and HDR ofc.

Keep in mind those are only available in the box with the 4K, the individual releases are still the 2011 version.

Yeah, these aren’t formatted for banner use (I did make a banner for my personal Twitter profile), but I could be convinced to distribute these outside of merch if wanted.

Disney still doesn’t acknowledge the difference. I’m still convinced “Maclunkey” was just as much a surprise to them as it was to us.

Yeah, it’ll be the 11SE. The differences between 11 and 19 are really only color/clarity, so if the snow looks, you know, white, it might be 19.

Rinzler puts in original shots in his books and they act like they’re placeholders and replace them with SE shots. He knows the difference.

I’m glad I don’t have to type huge treatises anymore and can just link to my article about my feelings on the subject.

I will reiterate that it’s absolutely essential that we have an official release of the OOT. As neat as the fan restorations are, there is no reason that our parents (or our kids!) shouldn’t be able to walk into a store or turn on their Roku and be able to watch the movies that changed the world.

Did either of you actually read my comment? This fixes both issues and makes for a very pleasant compromise.

Its not like Shaw even looked like himself under Vader makeup so either way you’re asking the audience to draw a connection based on context rather than what the guy looks like.

Someone who was 1 when they were filming should not be in the movie.

Vader/Anakin was 46 when he died. Hayden is currently 39 and doesn’t look much different then he did in ROTS. I’m pretty sure he’s not going to suddenly look 78 in 7 years.

So even if we take into account the fact that he was good again when he died so ROTS wasn’t the last time he was on the light side of the force, it STILL makes more sense for Hayden to be the ghost.

Hayden being in the movie assumes you’ve seen the prequels, which Adywan is not assuming.

Welcome to my life. The people who insist that Disney signed a contract that said “you can’t release the original versions” are crazy to me. Disney is a business, they wouldn’t let an old man tell them what they can’t do with their IP.

Each OT movie has 3 entries on Prime Video: HD, HD with bonus features, and UHD. Only RotJ’s HD listing has this label. It’s weird as hell, but Amazon is weird as hell.

There’s pictures of the inside of the next tweet. The prequels are the Blu-rays of the movies and the bonus discs from their DVD releases. The Bonus Materials are the Blu-ray bonus discs and the bonus disc from the 04 trilogy DVD release.
