I grew up with the similarly sped up CED of Star Wars, and I recall it being subconsciously weird when I got the Faces set as a teenager.

This is pretty amusing given that you’re now the “The Originals must be The Originals!” guy.

You’re lucky I’m not going to push for “time compressed” as a required option on the official release!

I guess I should update this since it’s been… a decade?

This is just the Original Trilogy.

11SE Blu-rays (purchased used individually, some from a going-out-of-business Blockbuster Video)
ESB GOUT (used media store in 2018)
ANH GOUT (shrink-wrapped from a local grocery store in 2019)
The Digital Six Film Collection (Microsoft in 2019)
19SE UHDs (purchased individually last week)
ROTJ GOUT (eBay this week)
ANH GOUT (“fullscreen”, so I don’t have to open mine, eBay this week)

I found a “Faces” VHS set somewhere in the last decade, I have that too.

I’m planning on using a friend’s custom cases to store each 19SE UHD, 11SE BD, 04SE DVD, GOUT, and the new bonus disc.

I’d like to see the custom cases once you’re finished with them.

Here you go! https://twitter.com/doubleofive/status/1248627547857960960?s=21

Congrats on perseverance and continuously tweaking the presentation until you captured a more mainstream audience. George would be proud. (kidding!)

Contact Kaminski and see if you can get the article added to https://savestarwars.com/

I sold it to WIRED, maybe he could add a link?

  1. Changed light area on wall behind CZ droid to shadow.

We didn’t notice this one, well done! How did you even see it?! I wonder if it was done during the 3D conversion so they wouldn’t have to worry about that weird piece of architecture going off at a weird angle.

  1. New Sky over Stormtroopers in the desert (1997 SE added scene) including a cloud

Not sure what you’re seeing here, the skies look identical to me.

I finally published my history of the Special Edition, which actually breaks down every addition to the trilogy and how it actively harms the movie, and explains how both versions can live in peace.

I also reveal a mistake introduced in the SE that I’ve never seen pointed out before.

It’s quite a read, I hope you enjoy! A lot of you helped, in the end.
