The Hey, it's me appreciation thread.

"Oh snap!" in American is kind of hard to explain. It can be an expression of shock or surprise, it is frequently used by third parties when two people are having an argument and one totally pwns the other or makes some really valid point. Kind of like, "Whoa! Who saw that one coming?!"

Dear Sir,

I am neither American nor English but I find your use of the (for the lack of a better word) word "pwns" in an explanation of either of these languages to be highly offensive. Please redact this travesty forthwith, or at the very least publish an apology in your next issue.

Yours sincerely,

Pam Owens,
Computer Teacher.

Once upon a time on MySpleen (Now with OPEN REGISTRATION)
Time

Pirates don't need no bleedin' g or h matey. Arrr!

I think Frink is just frustrated by his inability to ignore the MySpleen threads. He wants all the blow-ins that never post again to get off his lawn, since most of them don't even need a Spleen invite to find what they are looking for.

And now cos you two posted here, nobody will read my last post and there will still be two threads with invite requests! :p

Yes, because football players are wimps.

Exactly.

If I found myself in a bar fight with a professional American football player, I'd run away and knock over a few chairs and other objects behind me, and wait for him to trip on them and call a time out.

If I found myself in a bar fight with a pro rugby player, I'd reach for the nearest pen and paper and start jotting down my will.

A professional Rugby League player would trip over the chairs too. A professional Rugby Union player would probably be so polite that you wouldn't get into a fight in the first place.

Any Battlestar Galactica fans here?
Time

I initially liked nuBSG, but after a while it just made me fall asleep. Some of the original series episodes were joined together and released theatrically here. There were at least two of these Battlestar Galactica "movies" and I enjoyed seeing them as a kid. (Does anyone know how these were presented? Wouldn't the original AR have been 4:3?)

BSG was the only reason I liked the harmonica someone gave me.
