The only moment that looks odd is the wife shot of Rey balancing on the log with the visor. The saver just looks too thick. But the rest of it looks amazing!

Could you take the crackles of a camp fire and lower them in logic or something? I wonder if there’s any BTS on how they created the sound.

I’m on my phone right now but I can search around for the sounds that people use for dueling sabers when I get home. Maybe tomorrow?

If the cackling Blade is as subtle as that first pass, with a more subtle auditory change it would be really nice. Not as broken as Kylo’s blade but still a consequence of it being split in two

I understand why it would be annoying to have 2 cackling blades, but the subtly of the first pass is nice

Honestly I think we should keep the stormtroopers line.
Every movie has “awkward Star Wars moments” and this one is no less an offender than the iron from TLJ or the Ugnauts playing keep away in ESB.
TPM had “are you an angel”
ATOC was pretty much the whole movie
ROTS had “your shorter than I expected”
RO had weird tentacle monster
Solo had the what are you saying exchange in the maelstrom
ANH had “pick up your visual scanning”
ROTJ had Jedi Rocks
TFA had dramatic “wrong fuses”

Wow that worked so much better than I thought it would!
With this line change I could imaging using the yellow lightning in Pasaana

On that last note we’ve also already seen Bespin

That shot of the Star Destroye exploding from Battlefront 2 could work really well in the background, someone would just have to replace the explosions to one that are more photo realistic.

The Naboo shot should linger a bit longer, could we slow down the pan speed?

Personally, just because I think it is something Disney would do, I would love a host of a Star Destroyer over Galaxies Edge.

If I can day-dream for a moment. Imagine we all got dressed up and met at Disneyland or World and got a shot of us staring up at the sky, then added a star destroyer falling or something. Dream over…

Honestly, all I can think of when it comes to important planets is Naboo. It was integral to the Prequel trilogy and shouldn’t be too hard. Wasn’t there talk of seeing a Star Destroy explode over Kijimi?

First, I almost jumped out of my chair when I heard the “Look sharp” audio from Finn at the beginning. I know it’s soo small but the fact that I contributed in anyways made me so happy.
Second, in the workprint there is no audio for the steam during that scene, it makes the scene as is feel empty. Anyone else have thoughts on that?

Honestly with Mustafar the Battlefront II footage would work without the Star Destroyer in the sky. If there was a way to paint that out it would work great, but with it, continuity gets broken with the other shots around it, since no destroyer is in the sky anywhere and no shadow is seen that would be there. Also the ground is a different color in the battlefront footage.

I don know… maybe its just me that can’t unsee it, but I also play Battlefront II like always.

funny thing (and please understand I say this in jest) remember when we laughed at other editors using Battlefront II footage? Granted they didn’t edit it at all and it looks terrible, and what has been done here looks way better and close to seamless.

Oh where this movie has brought us.

How about leaving the shot of the Forrest Moon and have the Falcon fly in an arc down to it, instead of doing a quick camera pan to a different moon?

Maybe a slight pan down to the forest moon and then the falcon roars by and arcs down to the moon? 😐
