At your local Blockbuster, silly.
At your local Blockbuster, silly.
Ah, I can't post my picture because I kind of like Trident, though he obviously is young.
I think it's called teasing. I doubt he ever intended anything personal at all.
wait!there was a spider!?i must not have been looking hard.
Sheesh! Some flunky you are! ;)
As I've been organizing my overly large collection of Star Wars pictures, and removing duplicates, I can't help but feel more than a little annoyed at the selfishness of Darth Neo and watermarking every picture he's ever scanned, as if he somehow held legal right to these pictures.

Yes, I am, thank you, thank you.
My board looks like this:
LNS---KNL
---G-GSB-
I think I forgot to specify which gold moved to 5b in the past, which was supposed to be the gold on 6a to start. If we were to correct it from there, I doubt you need to take back any moves, but of course the option is yours. I think you'd still be quite content with your position.
That said, I don't know if you still see what I've done as an error. I see only a crappy situation that I'm not sure I can fix.
Probably, but I was just trying to show off that I knew exactly what you were quoting before anyone else caught it. You're supposed to be immensely proud of me.
I'm amazed at how different the two simultaneous discussions in this thread have become in only three short pages...
;)
So anyway, I'm not trying to tell anyone how to run the forum. If it works and no one cares, I don't either. I just am surprised and wanted to comment on it, that is all. If you feel no need to bring down the hammer, Silverwook, I'm fine with that.
No, I don't think I erred. I originally moved my silver to 7a, now my gold to 6b. I can't even move a gold to 7b, unless I'm mistaken. Maybe you better tell me what you're seeing more explicitly.
Indeed, I don't mind the team continuing, but the bull that the original is not involved is stupid, and if there is a team (I don't follow anything they do enough to get the impression that there may be more than one), they should be required to play by the rules as is everyone else. Team Blu is comprised of individual members with individual accounts and they do a valuable service. Why can't Team_Negative1 do the same?

OK, it's time for a little forum housekeeping.
The rule is strictly one account per user. This means no user may have more than one account ("sock puppets") and also that multiple users may not share a single account.
@negative1: I'm assuming from the formatting of the above post, and some of the account IP addresses, that you posted from the "team_negative1" account. Please do not do this again.
@team_negative1: A new password for your account has been sent to the email address you signed up with. Please keep this password secret and do not share with any other user.
Thanks for your cooperation.
Well, the dual account is gone, but nevertheless, if there truly were a team, there is still a rule violation. The whole facade is just bizarre to me.

Okay, got the game back where I needed. I knew I had already made a mistake. I'm already in deep doo doo.

Why do we put up with this? Ric Olie gets buried. Cookie Monster bites the dust. All the fun socks are gone. I can understand the universal policy, though I wish it weren't so. I understand that its easier to exercise a rule universally instead of selectively. But clearly the Negative One charade is a sock: members of the "team" all of the sudden joined at once without prior involvement at this site, are always in agreement, at times type with Negative One's style, and yet say that the original founder of the team hardly participates anymore.
All I can figure is that we allow it because of the valuable work provided in order to maintain anonymity. IBut then, it's not like it's kept a secret in other threads either. I've got no beef with the guy. He seems nice enough. I just don't get exception.

atheists will value love for its evolutionary/survival value
This statement is absurd. Atheists value love like any other human being may or may not. Where did you even get this idea from?
It certainly is absurd when you take it out of context and interpret it differently than intended. Well done.
I like the use as of this thread but I think it could fit under politics. I think you really have to dig deeper for it to warrant it's own thread.
Just watched this with my kids for the first time yesterday, and wondered if this part might fit in well with the asteroid scene somehow.
Sorry about not making a move. My game got shut down and I haven't played it back to position, and I didn't want to trouble you with making a diagram. I'll get it fixed up soon and resume.
What about when mammalian aliens have three breasts?

This is cool, right? Nothing sexist about this.
Not sure why my opinion was sought if you aren't actually worried about it, but I'm glad you're ok.
That's fine. I'm just responding to your concern as best as I can understand that perhaps you are losing weight too fast. Just be careful. I don't want any harm to come to you. :)

Much of your weight loss is likely in water, but it is also certainly real weight. The question is which is which. You should always weigh yourself at the same time each day for an accurate picture. Typically 2-3 lbs/week is okay, and more is generally not good.
I weigh myself the same time daily. And I don't know if I was quite clear enough about this, but I'm not starting out on losing weight, which is why I was skeptical about it being water weight. I lost about 15-20 pounds at about 3 to 4 pounds a week. The concern is for the last week or so it's been 1-2 pounds a DAY. I do drink a ton of water. Here's my typical day, beverage wise, and I mean a work day not a crazy fun day:
3-4 bottles of water
5-6 beers
2-3 glasses red wine
1-2 shots of brandy
1 glass of cranberry-grape juice with 2 shots of gin mixed in (it's WAY better than it sounds... it's amazing actually)
Actually with all that alcohol it's amazing I'm able to lose weight at all now that I think about it, maybe it's affecting my appetite and I'm not realizing it. I actually feel pretty great these days, it's just the 1-2 pounds a day thing that worries me.
Alcohol is a diuretic and makes you pee. Thus you still are likely losing more water than you take in.
Much of your weight loss is likely in water, but it is also certainly real weight. The question is which is which. You should always weigh yourself at the same time each day for an accurate picture. Typically 2-3 lbs/week is okay, and more is generally not good. It's not just fat, but muscle breakdown, dehydration, etc. It's generally not good to lose too much too fast, and there are complications that could result, including kidney failure (see rhabdomyolosis). This happened to a patient of mine a few months back...just too much exercise, not enough water, and a young healthy guy ends up with kidney failure, though it was fortunately reversed in his case. It is best to keep yourself hydrated, limit calories, and exercise a reasonable amount. Don't overdo it. I actually was looking at this page the other day, and it is useful. Check it out.
