Are the menu items truly deleted scenes, or were they just crafted for the DVDs?
As for the additional scenes being added, there are complications for certain. I am with benduwan, I would love to have the most complete edit possible. But there are a few little problems. For instance, the opening scene with Luke on Tatooine looking at the battle overhead has two deleted scenes: the black and white one revealed back in 1996, and the 2011 scene revealed on the BDs. Though they share some of the same shots, most are different takes and angles. I have enjoyed combining the two of them in black and white to try to make the most complete version. There are two versions of Luke and C-3PO in the up close speeder with the fake backdrop. One scene was found in Empire of Dreams. It starts a little sooner and carries a bit of dialogue not carried in the version found on the BDs. It is a different take, but can easily be spliced in when the shot changes briefly to the desert in front of them. There are several other bits and pieces, and I have thoroughly looked at them all, particularly with ANH. I can definitely offer suggestions for anything missing.
Thank you for doing this. I have always wanted to see as extended a version as possible. I too care much less about quality and just want to see a complete extended edit.
Ryan McAvoy did a rough and incomplete edit I loved called The Lost Workprint. It moved since scenes around a little liberally but it was a fantastic watch. It could be a good guide. I also made modifications to it to extend it further I think you should consider. I could send my copy of this extension.

Well there is truly a very different feel between TOS and the TOS cast movies. The movies adhere more closely to true science, are more serious, and make little reference to the series, the most direct being TWOK. I first fell in love with Star Trek because of the movies and had not even seen TOS. I can see why someone might like one and not the other. They could easily be separate characters set in the same universe.

- DVD extended scene 4 “The Air Taxi sequence” was actually inserted in the DVD (HDTV/BD) and so I thought it’s useless, BUT… there are few seconds more at the end… what if I take the following shot from LD (which is the non-faded version of the one found on DVD etc.) and attach it at the end? I will “gain” two or three seconds… not much, but, following the mission of this project, it could work! I echo this. I’ve got a fascination with deleted scenes and would love to see everything inserted. I’ve even got a collection of obscure clips (not full scenes) you could add if you’re interested.

We had a short lived poster, starwarsfan234, that seemed to be a possible repeat troll. Some people believed it to be HansiG. At this point it’s all guess work. I’m sure our Staff knows who it was but at this point it remains a mystery. All threads from this user were deleted yesterday but the incident left an impression here on the forum.
I, for one, believe that due to the content and timing that it had a purpose, a message. It would seem that there may only be a few of us that saw it that way while most others were eagerly awaiting the ban and reveal of the user in question.
Now, I don’t know who it was but I firmly believe it was one of our own. Someone that wanted to hold a mirror up so that we could see how foolish and petty things had gotten and that making some changes in ourselves for the better would benefit the community more as a whole.
I know there will be some heckling going on during this discussion as it is off topic but please, no blatant disrespect towards your fellow members, this is a conversation for everyone. I would also welcome thoughts from our mod’s and our staff on the incident and what they feel about what it suggested.

Don’t know (or much care) if it has been mentioned here before, but it seems like it shouldn’t be hard and could be very effective to restore the shot where Kylo Ren ignites his saber in the snow from the trailer just prior to facing Finn and Rey. Personally, it is an effective shot, and I’m not sure why it was removed.
What’s funny in a not-so-funny way is we recently lost our psychiatrist, so we’ve been having temporary doctors who contract with an agency come and fill in for brief stints till a permanent replacement can be found. We recently had a really nice guy, who ended up being stupid and getting injured by a patient and decided to take a week off without notice. During his week, he decided he didn’t want to stay with us for the contracted period of time and simply resigned, creating a very stressful situation for us. My unit clerk decided to Google the man to see what his ratings were, and we discovered he actually has belonged to white supremacy groups in the past! I would never have guessed, but it wasn’t just some casual search with an online review from a jaded former patient. There were numerous websites, including the Southern Poverty Law Center that named him specifically, and we corroborated their statements with online photographic evidence that it was the same man! At first, I was so furious with him for leaving so abruptly. Now I’m so glad he’s gone.
I was feigning death till the drive by shooting was over and I was certain it was safe.
