Last movie seen
Time

Frozen clouds and mile high tidal waves in a 3 foot deep ocean are the most obvious issues, since the relativistic physics are largely beyond most people's full grasp and were actually handled pretty well from my limited understanding and research following my viewing.  Definitely a touching movie.

I must say that I find it interesting how many atheists enjoy the movie, when the movie itself makes such a case for love breaking barriers imposed by cold, precise, exacting physics.  To me, if one can buy the hope of such a premise, one can buy the hope of a Being whose very purpose is based on love which, according to Interstellar, can surpass our knowledge of physics.  I don't want to get into any religious debates over this, but it's just a bit of food for thought.

What we like about the Prequels
Time

So I have a confession.  Actually, I've confessed it long ago when I first signed up here.  I do like the prequels.  Now don't get me wrong, if the OT films are 9's or 10's, the PT's are only 5's or 6's, but somehow I still enjoy.  I decided like a heretic (especially after posting in a different thread about raising the next generation of OT fans) that I would let my kids watch the PT, since that demographic is targeted more for the PT (at least 1 and 2).  They loved them.  And seeing it through their eyes, where Jar Jar was actually funny to them, I kind of gained an appreciation for it.  Besides, now I can show them Clone Wars episodes, so it works out.  Do I love them?  Nah.  But I gotta admit, I do like the PT.

A Radical New Sequence to View the Star Wars Saga
Time

I used to want the 1-6 order to make sense as well as the 4-6, 1-3.  Now I am convinced that only 4-6, 1-3 is appropriate, if the prequels are included at all.  I have hopes that Adywan will make the 1-6 order workable, but considering how long it will take and a pragmatic view of the movies as they are, I don't think it should be seen any other way at the present.

Ask the member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints AKA Interrogate the Mormon
Time

So the question has been posed many times about the strange nature of the Word of Wisdom, our law of health, which disallows coffee and tea, yet does not explicitly disallow caffeinated beverages like soda.  I will say,f as a night nurse until so very recently, I couldn't have made it through most 12 hour shifts without caffeine.  I usually relied on some caffeinated Crystal Light.  But I also once had a patient who damaged his heart with Monster drinks.  Caffeine can be harmful and habit-forming, so I believe it is best to minimize or avoid it.  I suggest the following link.

And this is a recent-ish addition to the LDS website.  It addressed many hard topics that were usually left to others for defense, including topics brought up by the author of the PDF that Ric read and found so interesting.

I think this is cool because I think over the past 30 years the Church has tried not to directly address some of these harder topics because they feared for those who were not well versed in criticisms of the Church, worrying it would draw more attention to such criticisms.  But now, with so much readily available through the Internet, members are exposed to criticism more readily, and those who are naive to certain topics are not well prepared.  I like this more open approach, and I think the articles are well written.  It's not an all inclusive list of topics, but I think it does well addressing some of the big ones.

^That is ... that is ... what the hell is that?

I thought everyone knew.  The Light Man was supposed to be a creature made of light in Jabba's palace, but they couldn't figure out how to make it work, much less keep the actor safe.  Here's footage from the BD showing a test shot.

It's a simple little thing, but it seems fun to me.  Just an idea, not one I'm banking on.

Oh no!  What a crime!  Why didn't I save that darn picture!  I've never seen a better mocking of the Anakin is ROTJ.

(Joke spoiler: since people probably think I'm crazy, I'm going to ruin my joke by pointing out that my typing "Anakin is..." is intentional.  Now the joke is ruined, but your perception of my sanity is preserved.)
