Random Thoughts
Time

I posted a picture somewhere in the General Star Wars discussion a couple of years ago of Luke gazing at the trio of Force ghosts at the end of ROTJ and being surprised to not only see Hayden is Anakin, but also Ewan is Obi-Wan and CPY is Yoda.  I can't find this picture anywhere, and I want to show it to my wife.  I'm sad. :(

I knew someone would say that. :)

It speaks volumes as to the foolishness of this release, I feel.

Then again, the people on this site aren't exactly the target demographic for this release. :-P

While you are right, this isn't the only site where I've asked.  I guess I haven't gone to TFN, where surely somebody says something about it.  Nevertheless, a couple of FB groups I've posted on don't have any info either.

Help: looking for Prequel Theatrical Versions
Time

Look for the Japanese Laserdisc version on MySpleen.  It is a true theatrical cut.  I think Adywan's recreation is there, but it is based on the DVD with an HD broadcast to make corrections, and I know of one change that was unknown at the time that he didn't include.

Yes, there are no good versions of AOTC, but there is a bootleg on MySpleen.

While this site's DoubleOFive has a pretty comprehensive list of every change, no matter how significant to the OT, a great site with nice visuals and descriptions covering the biggest changes can be found here:

This link is just for the PT, but the OT changes are easily found from there if you are interested.

The OT.com J. R. R. Tolkien & Middle Earth Discussion Thread

So I just watched The Battle of the Five Armies and I loved it as well.  I even don't mind the Kili/Tauriel romance.  Bearing in mind that The Hobbit predated The Lord of the Rings by about a dozen years, I very much enjoyed how incidental points like the Necromancer, later implied to be Sauron but never developed in the story or in Tolkein's mind till later, are tied so well together.  I'm going to have to watch the LOTR films now, and I'll have to reread the books I think.

Oh, and I wanted to say that I think Martin Freeman as Bilbo is far superior to Elijah Wood as Frodo.  Frodo was never terribly compelling in in the films in my mind, but was supported by more interesting and noble characters like Samwise.

yeah, I kinda raised an eyebrow to that shield thing too. But seeing Boba Fett using his jetpack made up for it.  Also during a panel with DICE today they said the star destroyer ruins in the new Force Awakens teaser will be explained in this game:

SLIGHT SPOILERISH info for Episode 7:

.

.

.  They said the Star Destroyer & Xwing ruins are from a battle that took place on the desert planet of Jakku and that you will get to play that battle in free DLC in early December

 *sigh*

I really hate when a movie I want to watch has something explained in a video game I have no interest in playing, watching, or reading about.

If it is something that is completely unimportant to the story in the film, then I don't see why would you even care. In this particular case it seems to be just a matter of fancy background.

I want it all, and you can't make me not want it.

Just so this post is legal and on topic, I really enjoyed the trailer.  It almost looks good enough for daneditor to use some footage for his edit, should he feel up to it.

The Place to Go for Emotional Support

What kinds of tests has he been run through?  A urine culture to test for UTI?  CT?  X-ray?  What were the findings?  How much blood is he expelling, i.e. is the urine just tainted red, or is a deep red, potentially with clots?  Has he had any procedures recently, like a TURP (which is essentially a widening of the urethra by cutting the prostate).  You may not know all the answers, but a UTI can indeed cause such issues.  If you do know, is there anything significant beyond infection?  Is it causing him any pain and where?

Sorry for being nosy.  I hope it's just the UTI.  You just never know abou these sorts of things.  I'm sure the hospital is being thorough in their investigation.  Best of luck, and may the Lord bless you and your dad.
