lightsaber color variety
This is an interesting observation.

Maybe they would have to pay the person(s) who created Kyle?
LFL 100% owns everything created under the Star Wars brand and the EU authors are aware of this when they sign up to write EU.
But with the new management, someone might look for a loophole? The "work for hire" clause hasn't stopped people who created various superheroes for DC and Marvel from suing for compensation over the years.
That's a possibility.
My problem with the inquisitor is that he's Darth Vader with everything that makes Darth Vader awesome stripped away.
Also, in this era, there should only be two Jedi and two Sith.

I think I'd be more interested in Kanan if his lightsaber wasn't a generic blue and none of that crap with the Inquisitor was in there.
Me too.

Uh this is going to suck... as I predicted.
An awful copy of Kyle Katarn.
Begs the question; Why the hell didn't they just go with Kyle Katarn?
Because Filoni and Weisman don't want to contradict the EU.
I would have given Tarkin a larger role in the prequels.

Cut it all.
Don't let fresh stories be hampered by decades if mediocrity. The Thrawn novels will still exist, even if Leeland Chee says Disney doesn't count them canon.
Exactly
Couldn't sound in space be explained with "science fantasy"? I hate the ship simulating noises explanation.
Here's what I'm wondering: Since it was known that Vader was Obi-Wan's apprentice but it wasn't known that Vader is Anakin, why didn't anybody wonder where Obi-Wan's other apprentice (Vader) was during the Clone Wars?
Here's the ones I know:
ANH:
1. Governor Tarkin
2. Tagge ("until this battle station is fully operational,")
3. Motti ("you're sad devotion to that ancient religion"...)
4. Daine Jir ("She'll die before she'll tell you anything.")
5. Nahdonnis Praji ("There were no life-forms aboard.")
6. Hija ("There goes another one.")
7. Bolvan ("Hold your fire.")
ESB:
1. Admiral Ozzel (the officer whom Vader chokes when the Imperial Starfleet arrives at Hoth)
2. Admiral Piett (Vader's Admiral following the choking of Ozzel.)
3. Captain Needa (Vader "accepts" his apology.)
ROTJ:
1. Jerjerrod ("We shall double our efforts.")
2. Piett
3. Gherant ("We're not going to attack?")
imperialscum said: This statement doesn't make any sense to me. EP7 can completely ignore SWTOR so I don't see why would anyone be concerned with it.
Why doesn't it make sense to you? The statement simply means what it says: that I won't see a movie that acknowledges SWTOR.
imperialscum said: Still you haven't answered my earlier question (just in case you missed it).
The reason I didn't answer is because I'm not the one who you were asking, but in case you're wondering, yes, I have played SWTOR.
If SWTOR stays canon, I won't see Episode VII.
ANH was often funny. I'd love a return of ANH-style humor.

^The novelizations aren't really considered part of the EU, though.
You are technically correct. I just loved that characterization of Vader and I figured the rest of this forum likes the idea of a "big" and largely uncharted galaxy (things I also like).
Here's something I wouldn't keep: all those superweapons.
Vader's thoughts in the ANH novelization about how much larger the galaxy and universe are than the other Imperials on the Death Star realize.
I wonder if Vader also gets killed and replaced in between ROTS and ANH.

I also love TCW's willingness to contradict other EU. Peaceful Mandalorians forever!
Did you not see the final episode of that arc? I won't spoil it here, but maybe we saw different shows...
I did see it and I know exactly what you're referring to.
I like that the Krath aren't called "Sith".
Should the Jedi use the class system from JAT, the master and apprentice system from the prequels, some other system, or a combination?

Lucas calling the Jedi of the PT era "the best overall"
Where did Lucas say that? I've never heard it before.
I love how the Jedi in Jedi Academy Trilogy through The Unifying Force are different from the prequel Jedi. I want Jedi that embrace positive emotions, allow attachment and marriage, etc.
Palpatine not needing his lightsaber, but using it anyway to humiliate his opponents.
Is it possible for anything to ever be as good as the OOT?
I would NOT keep SWTOR. SWTOR is one of the three parts of the EU that I hate most.
I wonder whether they'll be more of a focus on non-Force-using factions or on Force-using factions.
