The hair in the fox logo is in every fox film from that era, so I am leaving it in.

Gotcha, figured i would ask. I actually kind of like a few things in there like that to remind me it is a film 😃

I’m also looking for feedback on anywhere where the cleanup may have caused problems.

Ok, i will keep an eye out for cleanup mistakes primarily

I can render a less compressed version if there is interest.

it might make things a little clearer. i would be interested, but can probably make do with what you already posted

“Protecting the Nation”

What a joke. His own DHS told him that almost all these terrorists are home-grown.

I agree.

also, “Sec. 11. Transparency and Data Collection” reads like some terrible propaganda machine. yes, let’s further entrench bias and cause more division between people by reporting on only the bad things done by foreigners. only foreigners.

So to preserve digital movies we should carve out all of the data in stone. That seems completely feasible.

It is not feasible of course for every information we currently have.

Friendly teaching moment: It should be “all the information we currently have” or it should be “every piece of information we currently have.”

Thank you my friend. But the language has just evolved and what you suggest is archaic now.

If you consider grammatically correct to be archaic, then yes.

In the future all grammars will be carved in stone. ALL GRAMMARS

The special features look surprisingly generic to me. Only interviews with the usual PR chit chat but nothing about the actual production. As it was mentioned above, there should be a real documentary like the one’s they did for the ALIEN DVDs back then highlighting all production aspects.

It was mentioned over at blu-ray.com that Edwards actually confirmed that he recorded a commentary so I’m hoping there’ll be a deluxe version later this year.

is it clear that he recorded this on his version or the theatrical version?

4K restoration on Star Wars

Ok, so I’m all pessimistic and think that if anything they’ll just release a 4K SE and we’ll all be disappointed.

But then what keeps me intrigued is the disappearance of Mike Verta. I just watched a few of his short videos from 2 years ago thinking that this guy put too much work into it (just the one clip of the X-wings leaving Yavin IV alone was astonishing!) for it all to just go away… Not even leaked out. If I put on my tin foil hat, I think he was hired by Disney and given all the things to do it right.

he has disappeared a lot in the past for normal reasons…

Hey, I got a spleen invite from someone, but all I can find is the BD25 versions. Have the others been removed or am I just not using the right search terms? I’d really like the BD50 versions and the documentary discs if at all possible. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

don’t search for njvc in the filename, only some really old out of date ones are under that. instead do a user search for njvc, and view all the user’s uploaded torrents. 😄

If it were literally unplayable then it wouldn’t be playable. Another reason why no one takes you seriously is because you use the word literally when it doesn’t apply.

I’d say it’s more about his extreme hyperbole. I know a ton of people who use “literally” incorrectly.

You know 2,000 pounds of people who use “literally” incorrectly?

Yes, a literal ton of people. It’s actually just five big guys.

I get it
