Alien Appendix #3: The Alien Archive (Released)
Time

I have an original epk (on 3/4 inch tape) for Alien3 if anybody is interested, has a LOT of unedited BTS b-roll and interview clips, all of which can be played with either production sound or narration, it's pretty cool to watch if you're a fan of the film...there are some deleted scene shots if I remember correctly...it would be a nice project if somebody made a dvd out of it (all of the interview clips have a text question, followed by a reply by the actor..lends itself to a menu breakdown...) lemme know if you guys are interested in it for the appendix....

This needs to be preserved. Also, I forgot who had it, but doesn't someone here have the WIP version of The Making Of Alien 3? With the timecode still on it? Come on, folks, let's get cracking!

Info: Anyone Have The Fight Club Workprint? Or any workprints for that matter?
Time
Originally posted by: droidguy1119I imagine there isn't much in it, but I also was hearing about an American Pie workprint, and also a Hard Target workprint that restores a lot of John Woo action.

All the deleted stuff from the Hard Target workprint is on Youtube. Just type in "workprint" and you're pretty much there.

What were your original expectations for the PT?
Time
You know, I had watched about fifteen minutes of the special on Youtube (somewhere in the middle with the Imperial troopers invading the house) and I was thinking to myself, "Well, this must be the new 'in' thing, everyone's hating on the Special because it was made in the 70's." It couldn't be that bad, right?

Then I saw the special.

My hopes and dreams came crashing down around me in a brilliant display of bad pyrotechnics.

I will never be the same.

EDIT: To be honest, though, I always get this giddy thrill at the end when the thing is finally over and the main theme music from SW kicks in over footage from the first film.

Does anyone else have more information about it?

All I can say is that this looks frickin' sweet.

Dawn Of The Dead Ultimate Edition Volume 2-UPDATE Discs 1-4 (Released)
Time
I picked up the Divimax edition of the film yesterday for $5.00 at a Loblaws, and now I can finally see the film in it's entirety, so I will download one of these discs soon to see the extra features.

Aside from the numerous versions of the film, I have also been aware that there is a Japanese cut of the film that exists somewhere. It's really just the theatrical version of the film, but every time there is violence on the screen, the picture goes still, and the music keeps playing, then the picture resumes after the violence ends. It also apparently had an introduction by Romero himself. I tried contacting a guy who supposedly had a copy of this version months ago, but I never received an answer back.

I also forgot to mention that the other reason why this stands apart from all the other releases is because it features a sort of prologue, which explains that the zombies were here on Earth, and consisted of white words placed over a black background, while being accompanied by clicking noises from a typewriter.
