"At one point, George Lucas briefly toyed with the notion that the story of Star Wars should be introduced by a family of Wookiees. In this version the film opens with a father Wookiee telling his son about "Uncle Chewbacca." The father then produced a leather-bound journal revealed to be Chewbacca's diary. Evidently Chewbacca left the book for his nephew shortly before his death. After the father Wookiee reads the journal to his son, the film begins and the audience is transported to the opening scene we're now familiar with."

That would have been different.

I just had a great idea. Paste the final scene of the Holiday Special at the beginning of the film for a recreation and stick some Wookie sounds in there. oof, instant recreation!

I would like to do an Ewok supplementary disc as a release of mine. If anyone has some material to include I would appreciate it. I have the Eric Walker CD of BTS images and also a so-so copy of the original UK TV spot. PM me if you have anything.
You should see if someone can get you a copy of this to include.

Oh God...I'm laughing too much over here....

Revenge of the sith is the shite and the flies upon it

Shitty movies fascinate me, but i cannot conjure up any sort of fascination for this one. Yet I can for the people that genuinly love revenge of the sith. I've often seen it appear above The empire strikes back and a new hope on personal lists and everytime it feels like my heart is being eaten by a whore.

Come on, let's put our hate into something constructive and figure out what's everybody's obsession with this supposesly redeemable part of the prequel trilogy. Begin figgerin' please.

I HAVE NOT LOST THE WILL TO LIVE LIKE PADME HAD, I WANT TO FIGGER IT OUT BEFORE I LOSE IT.

Please tell me that the glory days of PT bashing are back. Please.

p.s - My Wookie replica buckle has no green paint on it & the cover of Vader's cape package doesn't have any image on it

What kind of Star Wars fan are you?
Time
I know enough about the films that I have a working knowledge of the main characters, events and situations that make up the films. I have Expanded Universe books, but I consider (most of) them inferior to the original films. I will watch the prequel trilogy if it comes on TV, but as a purchase, I wouldn't bother. I have a sporadic collection of action figures, and I buy a couple every so often when I see a deal. Finally, yes, I do remember when there was just an "original trilogy". That's why I came here.

Apocalypse Now - Workprint (now available) (Released)
Time
I asked Auximenes about it, and he said he had contacted the seller to ask about the content of the cassettes. I haven't heard anything from him lately (and I haven't heard back from him about whether he received the discs I had to re-send to him) either. I have the 1DVD version of the workprint, so if you want to work out a trade, e-mail me at crazyrabbits@gmail.com and I'll set something up for you.

Spider Man 2 Extended Cut - In January on FX (Clips Released)
Time
On a somewhat separate note, when Spider-Man 3 comes out on DVD (which will probably be sometime late this year or early 2008), I've got a bunch of promotional stuff for it. Did you know that the filmmakers changed the design of Venom from the pre-production trailer that was leaked? Anyway, if anyone ever wants this stuff, I've got the early (possibly with footage culled from a workprint or dailies) trailer, Comicon interviews and roundtables, and a crapload of images, feel free to shoot me a message.

A fanedit concept: Star Wars movies as a TV series? (* unfinished project *)

I wanted to change it into something in O.C.-style (especially the Anakin-Padmé-Love-Story), so I had in mind to change the music and use songs from today. All in all it was once again for playing around, but there was no serious interest in doing it.
I also did some video clips to test it, and I want to show them to you!

Of course they are conceptual work, so don't expect too much quality!

Star Wars Season 1 Intro

Star Wars Season 2 First Kiss

That was actually pretty damn cool.

Some of that stuff was really quite surreal, especially the explanation on how long it takes to shoot one second of footage with the stop-motion Tauntaun. I doubt you would be seeing much of that craftmanship in modern films today, seeing as how everyone is relying on CGI-laden effects. I also liked the original Yoda head with the goofy eyes. Great stuff!

Rankings
Time
When I used to be a member of the StarTrek.com forum, I accumulated a post count of (and I'm not kidding) 11,425 posts (under the name crazyrabbits) over a period of about three years. I know way more than I should about plot holes in Star Trek. I ended up getting my account locked, but it wasn't deleted, so if the site archive still exists (and I hope it does), you can probably search my posts out on there. This was back about 2 years ago.

To me, rankings mean nothing anymore. I post when I feel that I have something to contribute, or I want to thank someone for their work.
