I don't know if you saw this, Mr. Davdar, but the latest issue of Star Wars Insider has storyboards of the Falcon/TIE Fighter sequence, and there's quite a few of them. I just wanted to give you a heads-up on this, since I've never seen them anywhere else before. Maybe I'll buy a copy of that and scan them into a computer when I can.

I know enough about the films that I have a working knowledge of the main characters, events and situations that make up the films. I have Expanded Universe books, but I consider (most of) them inferior to the original films. I will watch the prequel trilogy if it comes on TV, but as a purchase, I wouldn't bother. I have a sporadic collection of action figures, and I buy a couple every so often when I see a deal. Finally, yes, I do remember when there was just an "original trilogy". That's why I came here.

That's really, really unsettling. I wonder to myself why people just snap like they do, and in the case of the shooter, it was apparently due to an argument with his girlfriend. A pathetic man committed this, and it's a terrible thing.

On a somewhat separate note, when Spider-Man 3 comes out on DVD (which will probably be sometime late this year or early 2008), I've got a bunch of promotional stuff for it. Did you know that the filmmakers changed the design of Venom from the pre-production trailer that was leaked? Anyway, if anyone ever wants this stuff, I've got the early (possibly with footage culled from a workprint or dailies) trailer, Comicon interviews and roundtables, and a crapload of images, feel free to shoot me a message.

FAO Schwartz is pretty cool, and very laid-back (try the giant piano from the film Big out). Century 21 is a pretty thrifty shopping centre near the Millennium Hilton, and it's always good to try and catch a ferry ride around the Statue Of Liberty. If you get a chance, check out Radio City Music Hall as well.

I bought the original trilogy close to 11 years ago. To tell me that I should buy a version of the film that is barely even passable as DVD quality for today's market (instead using a technology some 15 years old) won't cut it. I'll pass, thanks.

Some of that stuff was really quite surreal, especially the explanation on how long it takes to shoot one second of footage with the stop-motion Tauntaun. I doubt you would be seeing much of that craftmanship in modern films today, seeing as how everyone is relying on CGI-laden effects. I also liked the original Yoda head with the goofy eyes. Great stuff!

When I used to be a member of the StarTrek.com forum, I accumulated a post count of (and I'm not kidding) 11,425 posts (under the name crazyrabbits) over a period of about three years. I know way more than I should about plot holes in Star Trek. I ended up getting my account locked, but it wasn't deleted, so if the site archive still exists (and I hope it does), you can probably search my posts out on there. This was back about 2 years ago.

To me, rankings mean nothing anymore. I post when I feel that I have something to contribute, or I want to thank someone for their work.
