If you encode it to the same settings as the Blu-ray, the folks at home who convert it into an MKV can append any updated versions to the film using MKVToolNix, but only if the video setting are all the same.

This refers to the seamless branching done for the crawls. The first one is the '77 crawl and the second the '81.
I believe somebody seemed to mention that it’s possible through multiAVCHD or tsMuxer. Don’t know which one, haven’t used either.

Just two tiny improvements for 1.7 :
81’ crawl subs : when using 81’ crawl, the subs are not fitting anymore (only during the crawl because of the different timing).
More audio tracks (like Hairy-Hen’s 5.1, french, german, etc.).
