Are there titles for the chapters somewhere perhaps? I have always gone into MKVToolNix to change the titles of the chapters for Star Wars so it feels just that more “complete”.

-1 was the only person working on “ESB Sanitized”. I don’t know if he has finished it yet or not, but I’m pretty sure that the OT community is not at the top of his Christmas list, so I would look to Team Blu for the next ESB release…

What kind of sources have you guys used on the 97SE BDs?
I don’t want this to sound like asking for technical help too much. After I made this into an MKV with a bunch of other audio tracks from the DE, I noticed that the Jaxxon mono track will force the video to play at something like half speed. Any reason for this? Should I just make another MKV?
Yes, I would bet that for any official release of the original cut, it will have the Episode IV A New Hope crawl.
Except the most recent release of the original cut had no such crawl.
MKVToolNix can help you with cutting down the DTS tracks. Drop in an MKV file with just the audio you want to cut mixed in, split the file based on frames you want to cut in the “Output” tab, then drop the first portion of the film you chopped up in a new window and append the second portion of the film that you to that file and voilà. No encoding required.
There’s such little info for that tape that I wouldn’t know. My first instinct is that it’s probably unchanged, apart from narration of course.
I think the big takeaway here is the deliberate usage of the poster. Chewbaka is right. Every theatrical showing of STAR WARS since 1997 has used the rerelease poster in marketing materials and press packages. Plus one has to consider a certain upcoming landmark birthday year for the film.
The title is probably just a product of marketing/brand synergy/canonicity. STAR WARS has been A NEW HOPE for 35 years save for one afterthought DVD release in 2006.
That Making of Star Wars VHS with Don LaFontaine ought to be preserved.
