Army of Darkness - The Primitive Screwhead Edition (Released)
Time
THAT'S SOME GREAT WORK THERE MAN. I WONDER IF THE DVD SIDE OF THE HD-DVD IS MERELY A MORE COMPRESSED VERSION OF THE HD SOURCE. IF THAT'S THE CASE, IT MIGHT BE THE ONE TO GET AGAIN (AND TO THINK I ONCE OWNED THE LIMITED EDITION AND GOT RID OF IT - STUPID ME).

You're not being funny; you're just making yourself look like a div.
In future, type properly or not at all, please.

Star Wars In 3D
Time
Is this the same technique used for Monster House 3-D? I saw that when it came out and still have the glasses. That was an interesting experience and the movie was great. Now, what would you do with the glasses? Sure, it's a nice momento, but there's no way they can release a DVD with that technology on it can they?

Star Wars most inconsistent plot point, in my opinion: Star Wars Lethal Alliance game
Time
Ah man, can someone make a flash animation of Lucas presenting a bladly crafted pop-up-book to some FX guys.

Lucas: "Okay, so for the 30th anniversary, I want these plot points addressed for saga continuity."

FX Guys: "Um... sir, won't that contridict the entire original trilogy?"

Lucas: "Look... I own the fuckin' universe alright! Just make it happen!"

Here's my stance
Time
Out of the mish-mash of my intent, I still wonder the intent of the creator. Tolkien, I believe wrote LOTR formost for himself and then proceeded to have it published to share with the world whereas Lucas wrote for a medium that is strongly based on money. He wanted to created a modern myth with the classic architypal heroes journey story, but he also had in the back of his mind that if the story was accepted and sold well to audiences, he wanted to protect his creation. From an atistic level, I would also do the same to protect the rights to what I created, but when you become washed over with demand to create products based on one's creation, that's when you fall to the standards of what turns the globe. I don't know if that makes sense.

Letterbox looks like CRAP on a widescreen HDTV :(
Time
I haven't experienced the "pain" of watching these on HD as I'm still in ownership of an 32" CRT TV. I guess that's the reason I bought the limited editions as my setup was still of the `95 variety. Come time for an upgrade however, I'll bet someone here will have something upconverted or we'll have something more official. If not... I don't know how I'll react.
