Seeing the Saga in order - a review by a first-time viewer....
Time
Here's a little discussion of various episode orders. It comes out in favor of 4-5-1-2-3-6.

One other thing about the 4-5-1-2-3-6 order that the article doesn't touch on is the Death Star dynamic.

In any ordering containing the sequence 4-5-6, you see the Death Star get destroyed, and then they have another one just two episodes later. By the time you see the second one, it seems almost routine. Especially if you see 3-4-5-6, Death Stars seem to come and go rather quickly.

On the other hand, it's more dramatic with the Death Stars bookending the series. First we see the Death Star destroy a planet. Then we see it destroyed. Then we see a little of the Empire post-Death Star, winning more battles now, but with the aura of invincibility stripped because it no longer has the power to destroy a whole planet. Then you go to the flashbacks, with a mention of the design of the Death Star at the end of Episode II and the beginning of construction at the end of Episode III to remind you of how important and how terrifying this thing was. Then you get hit with the crawl from Episode VI: Oh my god, they’re building another one.

Did Anakin's fall start with Qui-Gon?

Hmm. We're talking about Qui-Gon's habit of violating the "code" when he felt a greater good was at stake. Killing Palpatine instead of arresting him would have been perfectly in character for him. It would have been interesting for that to have been Qui-Gon instead of Mace.

Obi-Wan's wants to take vengeance

That would be very un-Jedi-like. Remember him saying, "Don't give into hate, that leads to the dark side"?

Pants Game: The Star Wars Edition
Time
Not a single entry from the PT so far? Here are a few:

Guy in bar: You wanna buy some pants?
Obi-Wan: You don't want to sell me pants.
Guy: I don't want to sell you pants.

Obi-Wan, to the cloners: Your pants are very impressive. You must be very proud.

Jango, to Obi-Wan: Always a pleasure to pants a Jedi.

Owen: Where are you going?
Anakin: To find my pants.

Episode III - Pants of the Sith

Anakin: Artoo will be along in a few moments and then... See? No pants!

Dooku, to Anakin: You have pants. But you don't use them.

Palpatine to Anakin, who has Dooku in a defenseless position: Pants him now.
Anakin: I shouldn't.
Palpatine: Do it.

And some more from the OT:

C-3PO: I don't think he likes pants at all. No, I don't like pants either.

Yoda: I cannot teach him. The boy has no pants.

Yoda: Your pants. You will not need them.

Lando: Having trouble with your pants?
Han: No, no problem. Why?

C-3PO, going Irish: I never knew I had it in me pants.

The greater good of getting Anakin off that desert rock so he could become Darth Vader? Gee, thanks. I think it would have worked out better for everyone if he had rescued Shmi instead.

"Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny." - Yoda

Gui-Gon used The Force to cheat at gambling (the chance cube) and in business negotiations ("credits will do fine"), and even to commit theft (mind-tricking Boss Nass into giving him a bongo).

It's not exactly slaughtering the younglings, but if a man who used The Force so dishonorably taught the ways of The Force to a nine-year-old, could he not unwittingly have led the child his first few tentative steps down the dark path?

I don't get it. A DVD is a DVD no matter which side of the Atlantic you're on. That's 4.4 GB on a single-layer disc, or 7.9 on a dual-layer. Given that the data capacity is the same on both sides of the Atlantic, how can one disc have more video information than the other?

***The "Darth Editous" Episode IV DVD Info and Feedback Thread*** - a partially "de-specialed" DVD
Time
I need some help. I'd like to download the PAL DVD. However, Demonoid says that unregistered users can download only three torrent files per week, I already have, and registration is only open on Fridays. Is there somewhere else I can get that torrent? I'm assuming the tracker will be friendly to this unregistered user and it's just a matter of getting the torrent file, but I have been known to make mistakes... from time to time.
