Star Wars: Classic Edition 2.0 NEW from Ocpmovie (Released)
Time
Yeah, that's the one I got. The one added February 15 by derckast. How bizarre.

I triple-checked. I'm still seeding it, and getting a lot of download activity. The numbers of seeds and leechers reported by Azureus (my BitTorrent client) match the numbers reported by Demonoid. When I download the torrent file from Demonoid and attempt to download it, Azureus tells me it's the one I'm already seeding.

Yet it only has one subtitle track, and it appears to go with the commentary. The only subtitle in the Greedo scene says "George Lucas." When that track is off, I get no subtitles at all.

I did burn it onto a notoriously unreliable Memorex DL disc. (I ordered some Verbatim discs from Newegg. These are the ones that everybody recommends. I'm waiting for them to arrive in the mail.) I get some bad glitches. Is it possible for this to cause Greedo's subtitles to disappear?

It seems like nobody involved in the making of the Original Trilogy has spoken up about George Lucas’ oppression of the unaltered theatrical version of the OT.
Time
I think I read somewhere that Kershner did raise objections to Lucas about Luke's scream added to the 1997 SE and that's why it was removed for the 2004 DVD. I'm not sure how anybody would know that, so it might have been speculation.

Classic Edition: The Empire Strikes Back by Ocpmovie (Released)

ocpmovie says, "It kicks the GOUT's fucking ass." He may not be the most objective source, but I've been disappointed in the GOUT of TESB, which is why I'd like to get ocpmovie's edits. Can somebody send me them on discs?

Help Wanted: an ESB request - 2004 OT SE with the old Emperor scene put back in?
Time

I don’t have the technical skills to do an edit, but I’m guessing somebody out there can do this one without too much difficulty.

I’d like the 2004 cut of ESB with just one change: put the old Emperor scene back in. I don’t like the new one at all.

If this is as easy to do as I’m guessing it is, would somebody out there be willing to do it as a personal favor to me?

Your first reaction to Hayden is ROTJ
Time
I think it's a bad idea because it should be possible to watch ROTJ and have it make sense without having seen AOTC or ROTS. If you watch only the OT, who the heck is this kid with Yoda and Ben?

Also, I think Scruffy's post is very insightful.

Hayden's is the face of pride, resentment, and foolishness. The prequel trilogy spent four hours linking these attributes with that face, prepping us to dislike him. When I look into that face in Jedi, I don't know what he's thinking or feeling. He has no camaraderie with the geriatrics he's hanging out with, that's for sure; he's more like a bad child who avoided a scolding by flashing his puppy-dog eyes at his parents."

I'm looking forward to Darth Editous fixing this, which I hope he will. The Emperor scene in ESB was also a mistake that should be corrected.
