new screenshots or short clips?
new screenshots or short clips?
I think it looks good. But I never understand why people dont like grain...
Keep it coming puggo
Now that is some cool artwork!
Cool to read about this movie. I did a search on eBay just for fun last year, and god damn, I found the movie in Australia on DVD for just $10. Never heard about it on LD though.
I would be sweet if there was an edit of the newly remastered part I&II cut together cronology.
I haven't seen any of the extra scenes added to the TV-series and VHS and LDs but I've never read that any of those were essentials.
This is cool news ady. You sure put in a lot of work for everyone.
I don't like the movie but I'm gonna watch your version at some point. Hopefully before it arrives on blu with lossless ;)
I'd recognize the actor before the credits. And if the name Palpatine wasn't a big clue I don't know what is...
Damn, I've always though the DD 5.1 on LD had 640 kbit/s.
But really, just 384. Lower bitrate than DVD, that's surprising.
I also read that the bitrate in cinemas for DD is just 320(!!!) That's shockingly low
btw, what is the difference with the theatrical and the DVD cut?
any updates? I love this(and similar) projects :D
For the record, I'd prefer a puppet over a CG character(especially when yoda is a puppet later on in the series..). But the puppet must be made right of course. Which is not the case in TPM
*end of off-topic*
Alright
yikes, the puppet is really horrible. Never really thought about it before. I don't care much for the prequels
4 hours? Seems like both movies are cut together almost completely?
I'd like my sky blue
yeh but I can only find the AC3 for IV... I will have to have another look
That's interesting. Everyone on Ebay raves about the TPM 5.1 track and how good it is. Maybe just a good sales trick...

Hey man, sorry I was being a bit of a smart***. That is a nice LD player.

But still, the gout DVDs looks better on my old 32" WS TV than the '95 LDs...
Technical mumbo jumbo. But it's interesting. Thanks for the info.
DJ, what sound will the DVDs have?
I was just looking in at a.b.starwars the other day and found that there was dts 5.1 upmixes to ESB and ROTJ. Is there for IV also? I didn't see anything
yeh :)
btw, is this the Special Collection from 86-87!?
The last vid looked excellent. Maybe I had really low expentations from the start but..damn! Never thought it could look so good.

More detail than your LD player.

Thanks for the answer.
Watched the 7 min clip yesterday and put on the gout just afterwards. It sure has a different look.
I have one question though, is the gout on DVD in DVD quality or is it just a transfer in LD quality. Does it use the extra resolution of DVD? It sure has more detail than my LDs...
