This thread just brought up a memory of a fan trailer I saw YEARS ago (around the time the Disney Lucasfilm news first broke out) that was a theoretical Episode VII that took place thousands of years after ROTJ. I remember it used clips from films such as Lost in Space, The Time Machine and Reign of Fire (specifically the part where they’re “re-enacting” the events of Empire Strikes Back to a group of children).

Sadly, I don’t think I would be able to find it anymore (I don’t even remember what it’s title was). 😦

I wonder how feasible it would be to make 3PO’s arm red in TLJ and TROS to match with TFA?

Some things that I heard of were that instead of C-3PO being built by Anakin, he was going to start as a protocol droid for the Queen, the duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin on Mustafar was going to take place in AOTC, and including Anakin, Obi-Wan was going to have two apprentices.

I still have no idea how Adywan was going to do ANY of this.

Shattered Glass is really good and Hayden’s character is honestly supposed to be kind of off, if that makes any sense.

As someone who has followed this thread for a while (and in the grand scheme of things, joined in on the fun fairly recently), I just want to say how proud I am of Hal and the rest of you guys for creating this wonder of a fan edit and doing the impossible in a lot of ways in making this film a much better experience. That in itself is the true power of fan editing: taking a film that is broken or misaligned or just an absolute mess and making it whole again through the power of determination, skill and (above all else) love.

Anyways, if this was a bar, I would buy you all a round of drinks for a job well done (barring anyone who’s underage IRL of course). But, yeah… Well done everybody!

The green screen might be a little difficult, especially because of how it’s reflected in the floor as well. Also, I may be mistaken but doesn’t this scene have Richard Grant talking over it? So, we wouldn’t even be able to have the original audio for it.

I’m pretty sure Hal’s already stated that after V2 and a potential Rey Nobody version, he’s done.

So, I know a lot’s been done of piping in some other dialogue for Kylo Ren during the big reveal scene on the Star Destroyer with Rey accurately reacting to it.

However, has there been any fan edit that’s done anything to replace Palpatine’s Voices line in the beginning with something else? Adam Driver’s reaction during that scene is very… muted, so I feel it would be easy to put in something else to replace it. Maybe even parts of Palp’s Fortnite message? IDK.

Honestly, this was just a whim thing I’ve thought of over the years. But honestly, I may actually crack into this edit fully at some point, especially with help like this in regards to trying to get things organized and what not.

Yeah, not to bag on to the dog pile about this idea, but it also wouldn’t make sense why it would be conveyed as a “big reveal” in the movie if you change him to Thrawn. We’d already know he’s had dealings with the Emperor before.

Not sure if this is the right thread for this but I’ve always had the idea of restructuring the Prequel Trilogy by jettisoning Episode I, making Episode II the new Episode I, taking a storyline(s) from The Clone Wars cartoon and making it the new Episode II and then keeping Episode III as is.

The question is… I would have no idea what storylines I’d want to use for this new Episode II. I know I’d probably start it off with the last episode of Season 1 and first episode of Season 2 of Tarkovsky’s Clone Wars series to give a proper introduction to General Grievous and then have a little bit of a time jump to account for Obi and Anakin’s different hairstyles between both series. And one major corner of concern I would have as well (and this sucks because I actually do like this character a lot) is to try to cut around Ahsoka as much as possible since I think it would be weird to have this significant apprentice character for Anakin that then doesn’t appear in Episode III or isn’t mentioned at all. I’d also want to make sure that whatever storylines I do use, it has a pretty consistent thematic and character arc for each character to successful bridge the gap between “Episode I” and Episode III.

I’d also love the link to Version 3.0
