Has nothing to do with “individual needs.” Why would I “appreciate” something I can’t use anymore? Apple is M1 now, and most video editors with on Mac. People have been posting Mac links and they DO NOT work. So yeah, sucks that you and others admonish half the people out there just because you offer something for "free’ that doesn’t work then scold them for it. Sad. man. As an editor who used the tool, its a shame you have that attitude and don’t care that many can’t use it anymore instead of “fixing” it for free or, as I said, CHARGING for it, because I know a lot of people who would pay that can’t use at anymore. Food for thought, dude. It’s an amazing tool and the people I know who can’t use it anymore are struggling to find something else. But I figured since that one dude keeps posting a Mac link like it works that all was good, when it actually isn’t. When a lot of people who do editing with on Mac, then it has nothing to do with “individual needs”… its a lot of people’s needs. And they would pay for the efforts.

All I said was its a shame it doesn’t work for a lot of people anymore, and you ignored tat, until I posted again, then you chose to attack me. So, cool, dude. Be proud of your software that doesn’t work.

Pardon my ignorance but iMovie I think has a pretty decent color match tool now and that comes with every Mac basically. Plus, I’m sure you can just look up some other ones that are compatible on the Internet and even if it’s stuff you’d need to pay for, you could find ways to “acquire” it through other means if you REALLY need it that badly. Put in the work. Otherwise, you just need to seethe and cope, my dude.

Where would that go? Over the shot of Rey looking down at his empty clothes? Also, what would he even say?

The only way for me to get a decent Adam Driver voice would be to buy his audio book, so it would have to be a really important line for me to even consider it.

EDIT: Hal, I can see to those things.

In the novelization, he talks to her while she’s in the cockpit flying out of the rubble in Exegol and says “I will always be with you”.

Again, it’s not super necessary and I don’t want you to go through the trouble if you don’t think it’ll work or is too much of a hassle. But it would be nice to have the other major character in this trilogy have a more poignant final line. But that’s just me.

+1 to this idea. I know that this happened on account of a deleted scene from TLJ but I hate how the “Third Lesson” is just a dangling thread left in these movies.

Decided to comment on here rather than on your videos like I usually do. Lol

Anyways, WOW. That is marked improvement over the original shot you had! It looks really great. The only thing I’d suggest is maybe adding in some more atmospheric elements into the shot (fog/haze, maybe even more rain, etc.) to help hide the “cut outedness” of Tipoca City and to make everything look more cohesive.

Other than that, nicely done!

Isn’t this what basically happened in the novelization? I think his spirit says something along those lines as she flies away from Exegol.

Hey, Hal. Just wanted to let you know that to commemorate the 40th anniversary of ROTJ yesterday, I took your edit of it for a spin. Not only was it the first of your edits I’ve actually sat down and watched but it was also the first time I’ve ever been able to enjoy any of the Original Trilogy films with a pretty nice audio/video setup.

Anyways… Very nice job, man! It felt like I was watching that movie for the first time again.

I think it’s important now that through the power of AI, we should re-incorporate C-3PO’s very important line of “Throw the bones at it!” during the scene where the sand worm goes to attack them all on Pasaana.

(Obviously joking of course but this was legitimately an ADR voice line/joke Ben Schwartz wrote for the film that they never did.)

I’ve been thinking a lot about a Rey Nobody edit and especially one where the big reveal is that she killed her parents. But I was wondering if instead of her accidentally destroying their ship with lightning (which is a tad too dramatic for my tastes) what if she just instinctually kills them by snapping their necks ala Force Choke?

It’s been a while since I’ve seen TROS but I was thinking that during the flashback, you could still have her parents get kidnapped by Ochi, you get the shot of her crying and reaching out to them as they leave, and then we cut to inside the ship where they’re killed by Ochi. I feel like there could be a way to cut it so that it just looks like they keel over rather than being stabbed by Ochi and then you could add in a bone snapping sort of sound effect to sell the effect as well.

IDK, just something to think about.

Just had a thought: I wonder if with these new AI tools, we can get a cleaner/different inflection for the “I am a Jedi” line for Rey during the climax. I know TONS of work had been done to that line up to this point but I never was a fan with how it sounded, despite it working. Plus, I always hated how her inflection during that scene is so rushed. I always felt it should be something more akin to “I AM a Jedi” rather than her being like “iamajedi”.

So, something I’ve been wondering about in regards to this edit is if you’re going to put in the post-credits scene from the Season 2 finale as the cold open for the Boba Fett episode.

Looking forward to this edit! I have been beyond disappointed with both how TBOBF and Mando Season 3 has turned out. Looking at your rundown, I feel like this is a better pace for things and could probably help this season more cohesive to me.

But I wonder if during your new “The Pirate King” episode, you could cut out Green making a big to-do about giving the Mandalorians land on Navarro since it’s kind of weird how they’re super happy about finding a new home and yet they still go off to reclaim Mandalore.
