I like the shake too but I would have animated a few items being disturbed by the shake, like a hinged wall panel swinging open or some loose objects (pens, coffee mugs, novelty ashtrays, chocolate hobknobs) being thrown to the ground.

tipping over "Mr. Coffee" or "Mr. Radar" ? ;-)

I love the shake. The original just looks silly now, with everyone throwing themselves around like they're in Star Trek but without the camera shake.

Ha! this looks like when I play video games ...

like asterisk8 said, a real soldier would have corrected a "wardrobe malfunction" - as for the head bump, it is as Luke said earlier, their sight isn't that good, and so the "goof" is consistent with "reality" ;-)

other than Jango/Boba Fett bumping his head, THAT was just stupid ...

Now, by the time we get to ROTJ, the Empire have the TIE Interceptor, which is pretty much the MiG to the X-wing's F16 and far more dangerous to the X-wings in a 1 on 1 fight. It has the same gun array as the X-wing, is just as cheap and quick to produce as the original TIE, and still just as fast and maneuverable. If you're a hotrod Imperial pilot, this is the one you want to be in.

I rather fly an A-Wing ;-)

hope there is any chance we get to see some B-Wings crack one or two Star Destroyers - always thought the production stills meant that someday (aka Special Editions) we would ...

The Rebels (like Pirates) need to go in to capture/ambush a convoy and jump out in time before reinforcments (more Star Destroyers etc.) arrive ...

so the X-Wing foremostly got all the good parts the Rebels could find, because the Y-Wings were outdated long ago (and are just "upgraded" Bombers)

It isn't really important, if the X-Wing was a stolen (dropped?) Imperial prototype or not - we don't get the backgrounds in the movies, because the facts are simple: the Imperial Warmachine has unlimited ressources -  the Alliance has only so much as to win another battle and they hope for the big one (aka Luke & the Force!)

this is only "EU" knowledge (so take it with a grain of salt!), but as story goes the Empire had many weapon factories - Kuat Drive Yards, Sienar Fleet Systems, etc. - and they had to decide if they wanted a superior fleet, but small in numbers or better a large disposable one, that was cheaper (and missing parts, that aren't needed)

so the deal for the fighters went to Sienar, and they got rid of every thing, that pilots in close combat aren't using (Hyperdrive!) - to make them faster (and they were fast, befor the TIE Interceptor got produced) even the shields got scrapped and the T.win I.on E.ngine was the perfect machine for dogfighters at that time ...

rumors tell, that life support was missing to push the pilots in pursuing their goal with more fury (and like Luke said, they were ment to protect convoys)

nah, Sith should use the "warm" side of the light spectrum: yellow, orange and red - Jedi the "cool" one: blue, green and maybe white ...

Anakin as Vader should have used a red blade.

Yoda, if he is to be in the prequels, must be the master who doesn't use a lightsaber and isn't "superfrog" - only his defensive style is needed to show his superior skills!

hm, Dooku is complicated, it depends what one wants to do with the character, so he is very open for all things ...

Palpatine's fight with Windu wasn't all that bad - it was the silly jumping around, like Yoda, that ruined his style ;-P

It isn't that much of an "issue", I just never thought about it, because the story felt natural and yes maybe he got another back home ...

heck, even in the Battle of Endor  there is an X-Wing (Red 5), that is flown by some pilot (and he got shot down later I think)

so just a funny sidenote ;-)

hehe, when did Luke get his X-Wing back ?

I forgot that he parked it on Cloud City (now off-limits for Rebels), but flying it later to Tatooine and Dagobah ... (*

as for the Prequels: just keep the Kids out of the story, we didn't see baby Obi-Wan or Han (we had luck!) neither!

*) and without R2 "Autopilot"ing it, who returned it to him ?

as for Fett/Slave1:

As I see it, if Boba and Jango are two different bounty hunters, that Slave1 should look different, as the Falcon could have some modifications, like Han said, that Lando (the former owner) hadn't built in/on to his ship ...

if on the other hand there is only to be ONE Fett - the colour-scheme could also change over 20-30 years, not just looking brand new and unweathered ;-)

and yep, the ramp should be seen, makes more sense for continuity

well, after reading the news about changing the EU to "Legends", I stumbled upon this video (again):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buXz4BYS8kw

made me think over some (plot) points - the "importance" to make Obi-Wan the main character of the prequel trilogy (and maybe Sidious or another Sith/Dark Lord his adversary)

and to make things "radical" ... how about moving the whole Anakin-pupil story right up to the very first minutes of Episode 1 (and closing it there?)

meaning, that we later only follow Obi-Wan on his path to understand the power of the Dark Side, as his fellow Jedi try to stop the waves of evil wash over the crumbling Republic - this could be the last Clone War (as there were some before) and the Mandalorians could play a vital role in this one

we just see Anakin as a support character, that vanishes like others during the struggles against "Sith" invasion - his turning point could be right at the start or later, his motivation needs to be clear (not only to "save his wife")

the remark "Obi-Wan has taught you well" is somehow a paradox, because he was dead by that time and Yoda is/was Luke's master ;-)

testing/toying with Luke was all the purpose of Vader's trap, if he could have turned Luke to the Dark Side, the whole carbonfreezing would have been meaningless ...

it could give Obi-Wan some background maybe, that is really missing - where the 'ell did he come from ?

that was one question I would have liked answered, not to see a baby-Vader making his first steps into a bigger galaxy ...

so should Qui-Gon and Ben be residents from Naboo/Alderaan or just "stationed" there for "peacekeeping" ?

they could start as friends with Bail Organa, to give later mentions credit

Lucas sold Star Wars to Disney, only "Episode IV" remains in the hands of Fox for a limited time until all is hopefully in one basket and to be released as it should be ...

GL changed his view(s) many times - telling how he wants to "reserve" art and such, but did he preserve "his" (or the work of his colleagues?)

nope, he is done (for the most part) with SW - only being int the background, where he should have been for the last 20 years ...

so until mentioned "cleanup", we as fans have this and other forums to get what the "maker" withheld from us ;-)
