Star Wars Prequels 35mm 4K Filmized Editions by Emanswfan (a WIP)
Time

The whole bunch of "Cut Scenes" that got dumped in the PT shows how bad the original edits really are - Lucas left crap stuff in, but threw out some character development or interesting things that connect to the OT ...

so if we got some good, or even better source material to work with, maybe future editors can make the PT fun again ;-)

well IF you keep "Naboo" not making it "Alderaan" (which is to what Leia tells us a pacifistic society), they haven't got any planetary shields or ion cannons like we see on Hoth or Endor ...

so they could have those "fighters" more as escort (like Bespin) or for recon, if people gone missing in the woods or something ;-)

Naboo isn't the battle ready/worn world, as the others we know - so is it how I observed this

hm, did you play "TIE Fighter" the video game?

I remember Emperor Palpatine gave a speech during the into:

"... soon Peace and Order will be restored throughout the galaxy."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puvD_FDS_jE

now take Obi-Wans "... the Jedi kinghts were the guardians of peace and justice in the old Republic ..."

maybe start with "Order and Justice" going to "now Peace is disturbed" over finishing "a/the defenseless planet Naboo" ?

just a suggestion to cut down the "peace" repeat and mirror what a Jedi and/or a Sith thinks about it ...

I don't think you need to mention it's Earth-like status, it's doesn't pertain to the plot. Indeed in the current version Naboo is hollow and has an interior ocean which is a significant difference referenced in the plot.

[...]

Inhabited just means people live there.

That was my point, to tell the audience, this is a "living" planet, not like Hoth or other places, that hold no interest for humans

sure, if "Naboo" is to have special resources, this should be mentioned in the beginning, as to why "Trade Federation" is there ...

if "Naboo" would be "Alderaan", I think "peaceful" or "pacifistic" is the better word (but too much "peace" in the text sounds awful)

Terrestrial doesn't work on many levels.

For one thing this is a mythical fantasy realm where, to our knowledge, there is no Earth.

Also the word is like saying Naboo is French, rather than like France, of Earth rather than like Earth.

well yes "terrestrial" sounds strange, better leave it out or change to "inhabited" or something similar meanig it is "Earth-like"

@Bingo you aren't 100% correct, Star Wars states to have been: "in a galaxy far far away", so our worlds could coexist ;-)

one thing I find worded bad is the end: "... before a war can begin" - hm, sounds not as if they are there to STOP it, more like to delay it ...

maybe put it more in line as "before the conflict would end in (a) war" ?

The unseen passage of time happens a lot in ESB. e.g. In Echo base, we go straight from seeing Threepio in the control room to seeing him in the hangar.

this was mentioned some time ago, and I see it as a continuity error - bad cutting ("jump cut"), because better material wasn't there (or other stuff was "lost")

I think we need to see the asteroid in question, it is like the pointing out that Han did with the cave he had seen ...

better have a correction of model or inserted shot - not like the overdone flight the Falcon did to arrive at Yavin IV

PS: it's hard to post when the server gives error reply :(

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

The guy is a government...ahem, Jedi council...spy and assassin. He's not a nice guy. This is why it works better Ady's way. The one good thing he does in his life is to sacrifice himself for the greater good, a concept I think he just got a grip on when Alderaan was destroyed.

Woha! so it was Obi-Wan's redemption (sort of) in ANH ... O.O

Sorry for going a little "OT", but I haven't found or seen it on FB or the other site ...

- is there still a chance to order a Rebel Shield Generator ?

the news said it was a "limited" one, not saying if by time or number

- after the 3 winners were chosen, the others would be drawn later, did that already happend or still on the todo-list ?

thanks for any info ;-)

Welcome back! (though I don't know what happened ^.^)

interesting ideas, because it solves the "lost will to live" drama

though, to be seen is, if an editor wants Padme (or other name for Luke&Leia's mom) to die onscreen ...

and if it is "needed" to show the seperation of the twins - this could work better if we only see Obi-Wan carrying Luke to Tatooine, not showing Leia being the "other Skywalker" ;-)

on behalf of Anakin & Padme: much of the dialogue needs to be fixed - cut and/or rewritten - it's just bad ... the OT wasn't Shakespear, but it had flair (to throw a word into the pot)

Collaborative Fanediting: An ROTJ Proposition (BACK ON TRACK WITH EMANSWFAN AT THE HELM--SEE POST 1488 OR OP FOR A LINK!)

yeah that was I meant, give the AT-ST some chainsaws or claws to chop some wood ;-)

the AT-AT in the background is nice too - with its side hoist arms

well John Wiliams wrote much more score, which is to be found on the many discs Lucasfilm brought out over the years, than is used in the final film, so it is possible to tweak the soundtrack to be more compelling ...

so until an official Revisited thread is open, I thought to kick some ideas around here ;-)

as for the ground battle of Endor, this nice "concept art" has interesting pices - it depicts the construction of the bunker and base for the shield generator ...

http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121217221427/starwars/images/0/09/Breaking_Ground.png

maybe put one or two "building" AT-ST in RotJ:R ?
