Unsure if this has been covered or not. If it has been, I apologise. I've skimmed through this thread as much as my patience will allow.

This isn't a suggestion but more an observation (as not only would it be impossible for anyone but lucasfilm to do, but few fans would desire the change) but it always seemed odd to me that Lucasfilm would change Anakin's ghost at the end of Return of the Jedi, yet keep Vader unmasked the same. Now I understand that he's aged, but still - it is obvious to anyone that this is not an aging Hayden Christensen.

I would have expected lucas to have changed unmasked vader to something along the lines of this publicity pic (only aged more with makeup):

This would have at least added continuity, whether it outraged the fans or not.

EDIT: I have no idea why the image has formatted itself to the right.

I was very careful with my choice of words, British does not mean English, like the Imperials.

If people don't like the Gungans being British, they can download the alternate audio version, or, if they get the .iso they can switch the audio tracks and try it both ways.

Well it's usually assumed that whenever someone uses the term "british accent" (which I hate by the way as it implies that everyone in britain has the same accent) that they mean English.

If you didn't mean English, what DID you mean? Welsh? Scottish? Irish? Or any of the regional dialects in between?

I'm Welsh myself.

I've just read the changes on page 1 for the first time since its last revision, and WOW!

I can think of nothing else I would possibly change. And most of the stuff I wouldn't have even noticed, but again, I approve of.

This is going to be EPIC. I just feel bad that I have nothing to contribute :(

As far as I can tell, Ady is covering everything.

I agree and from what I remember when the script was leaking on the net waaay back was the Sifo Dyas was a play on Sidious, as if Sidious himself went impersonating the Jedi (on approval of the Chancelor.. which turned out to be one and the same) but then in the film SIfo Dyas became actual Jedi??? removing him and adding the clone army to the opening crawl is the way to go.

Exactly. It would have made some sense if there was no such Jedi as Sifo Dyas. But there was. So stupid.......

All mention of Sifo Dyas needs to be removed in my opinion. The stupid detective plot involving him went absolutely nowhere.

New crawl saying that a clone army is being created on Kamino, and that the senate is bickering about whether it should be used is all that it'll take - as well as removing obi wan's and the other jedi's surprise at its creation. The secret creation thing (along with never being explained) is utterly stupid. Why would the Jedi happily use the army, knowing it was commisioned by neither a Jedi or the republic?

Also remove the whole "missing planet" thing, where obi wan goes to dexter, then the archives, THEN asks a bunch of KIDS before going to Kamino. It was STUPID. Just redub the droid analysis deleted scene so that they say that the ore used to create the dart is from the Kamino system - maybe something about this being the location of the republic's cloning facility, just to clarify to the audience.

"Probably hand-made by a warrior yadda yadda yadda.......however I am detecting minute trace elements of Kaminolium. That ore is unique to the Kamino system if you hadn't figured that out, sir" :P

Possibly move part of Yoda's line of "And see this army they have created for the republic" to earlier in the film if he ever instructs obi wan to go to Kamino ( I don't remember)

That way, Obi Wan goes to Kamino under the ruse of checking out the army, when he's really looking for Jango. (or in my dream edit, Boba - the kid doesn't exist). Also we never see "Boba" unmasked. It ruins the mystery.

But I've said all this before I think.

But yes. I approve of Dooku replacing Yaddle in the council chamber. Sifo Dyas, on the other hand, belongs on the cutting room floor.

A CG IG-88 will be used for Aayla Secura scene. Using some existing footage of Darth Vader, and some creative video compositing I'll create the Plo Koon death.

I'm assuming you mean costumed vader, killing Plo Koon. Isn't the existing death footage of Plo Koon in a starfighter?

Can't say I really care about seeing IG-88 in the prequels, but it's your edit :) Sounds pretty ambitious.

IMO though, costumed Vader needs to be cut completely to preserve some ambiguity about who vader is in the OT.

I've looked through this whole thread and don't remember anything being said about this (although I could be wrong), so here goes.

Ady, have you ever considered making a cameo appearance in your edits? A la Hitchcock.

All it would take is a green screen (which you're no doubt using for all your model/effects work anyway.

Just an idea. You're already going to have immortalised yourself in Star Wars history as it is. Just wondering if you've considered anything like this.

All you need is an orange jumpsuit ;)

I don't care whether he's that bad ass, only that the changes to his character help make Anakin seem more like a victim than a brat.

Him taking on Palpatine alone makes sense, and means we don't see the ridiculous deaths of hardened Jedi because they just stand there doing nothing. Or the fact that 4 Jedi went to subdue him but they never thought to contact the other Jedi to tell them about the impending arrest.

This change also brings to mind the quote "your overconfidence is your weakness".

Ady, if you're watching this thread, have you given any thought to amalgamating Jango and Boba into Boba Fett and losing the kid? This has been mentioned not long ago in this thread. Also if I had my way, you'd never see Boba (Jango) without his helmet. It removes all the mystery of the character. Recolouring the armour would also be on my wish list, but would probably be a huge undertaking.

Excellent work SSWR! Really like what this does to Mace's character. Makes him into an arrogant, untrusting S.O.B, which would explain why he goes to confront Palpatine WITHOUT EVEN TELLING ANY OTHER JEDI!

Love the mockups Angel. Mace's saber should definitely be blue. I have no problem with other colours of saber in the PT, but the fact that Sam Jackson ASKED to have it, and that he's such a prominent character, cheapens it.
The way I see it, if we ARE going to have other colours in the PT, it should be seen in the background of a battle at the very most (showing the rarity).

The main character I can see in the whole saga as deserving to have a different colour (yellow is a favourite of mine) is Qui Gon. He's an unorthodox Maverick and I think it would probably suit his character really well.

Having said this, I REALLY like the idea of changing EVERY saber in the PT to blue. When Luke then makes his new saber the audience is like WOW! It singnifies a renewed era for the Jedi and is also a bit ambiguous. We don't know what this colour might signify (good or evil?) as we've never seen it before (except in tie lasers). And it shows Luke's seperation and lack of knowledge of the "true" jedi of old.

I can see both sides of this argument. Eyeshotfirst; I would agree with Asteroid-Man that the quality of what you've submitted isn't exactly something to get excited about. It lacks polish. And whilst I'm far from being a photoshop guru myself, I wouldn't have submitted something to a forum until it was of a reasonable standard.

Asteroid-Man, I do however agree that you have been a bit harsh in your posts, and have come across as a bit of a snob.

Plenty of houses have cellars, garages and the last castle of the British, garden sheds but not in flats but I doubt if many American apartments have basements (especially on the upper floors). We do have air conditioning (it's called a window) and we often have to pay for healthcare (or just go without it).

Well I've never met anyone in the UK with a basement/cellar. Obviously they exist, all I'm saying though is that they're pretty uncommon. And by free healthcare, I meant the NHS.
