Sky_, I was one of the 99% who had no idea you'd made the logo (due to being a late arriver on the Revisted bandwagon). In any case, a belated "good job" from me :D

Also, forgot to mention. All the clones we see in Attack of the Clones sat down eating in the facility look nothing like Temuera Morrison. It's a different actor entirely.

The Episode 2 Visual Dictionary tried explaining this by saying something along the lines of "the growth acceleration led to clones that looked different from the original host".

Now I'm not going to argue about the fictional science involved in cloning in the Star Wars universe, but my point is, come ROTS, this was crapped all over, and we see that all the unhelmeted clones are played by Temuera Morrison.

So even if I did show Jango unmasked, the clones as we see them in AOTC wouldn't support Jango being the sole host. Not without an explanation from a supplemental book anyway!

Not really, as the Clones aren't going to be exclusively cloned from Fett in my edit. Rather they are created from combined genetics of select candidates.

I'd like to remove the whole Fett being used by the cloners thing entirely, but then he'd have no reason to be on Kamino.

But in any case, troopers are another thing that should never be seen without a helmet :P

My ROTS edit (if I ever get around to it) will address that.

I've always thought that scene was pointless, even if it didn't suck in all other ways (with the kid, and the unmasked bounty hunter with zero mystery). We don't learn anything new in that scene. Obi Wan just has a chat with him about stuff we already know.

I'm hoping to just redub the Kaminoans to say that the bounty hunter is about to leave, and that his DNA has been an excellent candidate for further improvements to the army (not have him be the sole template for the clones) then have Obi Wan contact Mace and Yoda, and then have him go make the arrest.

I just don't see any reason to have another Fett in the prequels. It's entirely unnecessary, and if your idea means keeping the kid, then no way. Lol.

He can't act. He's irritating. Not to mention he ruins the mystery of the man behind the mask.

If your idea means inserting another actor, then I don't know. It's certainly beyond my expertise and resources.

ben_danger. I've yet to try a recolour of him at this stage. I'm going to need to learn the technique from scratch. I know NOTHING about photoshop, but I do know someone who's somewhat of an expert. And I've heard that the recolouring options in AE are similar to PS.

I was a big fan of your mockup when you did it, but it shows how time consuming it would be to change the metallic green (and yellow) finishes into a matt one for continuity purposes. Recolouring in motion is going to be time consuming enough as it is, which is why I may compromise and just do a partial recolour so that he has a red visor and a light grey jumpsuit, but all the armour remain silver.

fishmanlee. No I've yet to even try after effects at all, let alone to recolour Jango. I've read about the change colour option however.

Watch them in production order, which is arguably the correct order anyway because of the way the stories have been written.

 

Well the fact of the matter is, new viewers are going to watch them in chronological order. That's just how numbering films works.

I don't see what's so hard to understand.

Go back some pages on the Prequel thread and Bingo talked about how it would be done.

Padme's death would be her existing funeral footage.
Rise of the Empire would be time lapse wipe of the Republic ships replaced with Star destroyers/Tie Fighters
Then probably ending with the Death Star being built.

We seem to have veered of topic. This all belongs in the prequel thread.

Not desecrating *my* childhood as such, but making so that the next generation who watches the films (in chronological order) will miss out on the impact we had.

Yeah. The kid is being cut, we never see him without his helmet, never have him mentioned by name, and I'm hopefully doing a recolour of his armour.

I probably won't have him on Geonosis despite my video of him escaping the arena. It just makes too little sense to have it so obvious that the 2 warring sides are connected.

I really don't get why the Skywalker name is such a big problem? If you cut the  rescue of Anakin and the Born of Vader you'll know that Anakin is the father or some kind of family of Luke. But you don't know Vader IS Anakin. So that's still a surprise in Ep V you'll remember the dying Anakin on Mustafar who must have survived it's fatal wounds.

But I'd still prefer it to be adequately explained by Padme surviving for a few years on Alderaan.

Whatever the shaft is, we never see him reach the bottom so how deep it is is a moot point...

I'm fine with some backward-speak being present, but not to the extent that it is currently. It's like he's been played as a caricature of himself. Much like Threepio's campyness. They were never this exaggerated in the OT.
