here is something relevant to ESB: i took music from the hyperspace scene and put it in the CLONE WARS episode RISING MALEVOLENCE: http://www.youtube.com/user/FishfilmsInc#play/uploads/1/OhdBcJ1-VUM

This belongs in a thread of its own or a clone wars fan edit thread (if one exists). It's not at all relevant to ESB:R

I think with all the cutting out of scenes in AOTC (as I've seen in my own edit) there's need for some filler. Maybe in the form of the republic troops and mace and co fighting through a blockade of Seperatist ships to get to Geonosis.

Would require filming some models shots, which would be an opportunity to include some more appropriate republic ships.

I can see someone like Ady replacing the CGI of the opening space battle in ROTS with model shots, so animating a whole new battle wouldn't be that farfetched.

Going back to ROTS, those Arc-170 Xwing look alikes absolutely went through me, and detract from the iconic moment in A New Hope where the Xwings open their S foils.

I would have far preferred them to have been z-95 headhunters as this at least looks like a precursor to the Xwing. Or even Y wings with all their panels intact, suggesting that the Ywings in ANH are salvaged.

Or, seeing as these are to become the empire, replace them all with something that looks more like a "good" precursor of the tie fighter. They did have the V wing in some part of the film, but these look too much like A wings with Tie style wings strapped on.

Yeah. I only found it myself yesterday by going through the whole entire thread. I have no idea what page it's on though...

EDIT: Here it is. Found it in my browsing history.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0RAABQJL (FLAC)

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=29QXFK7F (mp3)

There was a fix released for the back cover which was missing some track listings. Can't find that yet though.

Just uploaded it myself rather than going through the topic again.

I was a lurker back in the days of the 'Classic Edition' trilogy, Deleted Magic, Building Empire and Returning to Jedi, but my visiting the site was sporadic for a while. Then, after learning of Revisited, I felt compelled to join. :)

Anyway, sorry to drag everyone off topic and into 'nostalgia mode' :p

The prequels have little story as it is. Removing a whole character would not only be difficult (and I second Angel's question of whether you know how you'd go about removing him as an element) but would probably mess up the story.

A far more realistic undertaking would be a redub, so that we might actually start to like his character.

I thought Jar Jar put forward the motion and then they will vote on it. You can't honestly expect them to show something like a vote from a Senate that big? I didn't read it as "one vote for all" at all.

"The Senate will never approve the use of clones."

Bring on Jar Jar.

Everyone then votes to circumvent their exisiting decision.

Surely you can see how utterly retarded that is?

LOL!

I've just finished reading the ENTIRE ANH:R thread, and boy am I envious of all you guys who were here when the finished project was unveiled. It's given me a renewed sense of excitement for when the same happens with this edit :)

I can't wait!

Well it is kind of important considering that vote is the reason behind the entire opening of the movie. But anyway, what about The Phantom Menace, how are you getting the Jedi from the forest to Theed? Just having them hitch all the way on the transport and cutting the entire sequence with Jar Jar and the Gungans? I'm asking out of interest, not challenging you.

Confusedmatthew and his video reviews of the first 2 prequels explains it best how the voting system in the senate is ridiculous and makes no sense. Amidala and her ONE VOTE gets a Supreme Chancellor re-elected, and similarly, Jar Jar, and his ONE VOTE gets the Chancellor granted emergency powers to create a clone army that the entire senate were dead against having. They passed a motion to circumvent themselves!

So no. Jar Jar's one vote isn't important at all. It just shows how Lucas wasn't even thinking when he made this film. When he needs things to happen in the plot, everyone suddenly becomes stupid to allow it to happen.

I'm all for amalgamating Grevious and Maul. A non force-user wielding lightsabers never sat right with me.

Except for Han gutting the Taun Taun.

Only thing would be, how would Maul/Grevious work in an edit where Dooku is good, and the Seperatists are, to a degree, in the right.

I suppose it could be explained as Palpatine pulling strings - infiltrating the opposing side with a loyal agent of his own.

That's a damn shame but totally understandable. He must be sick enough of Empire, let alone wanting to go back again to ANH.

Does anyone have a link to a video comparison of the spinning/non spinning starfield? I've never been able to notice what's different, so can't really comment on how this affects continuity between ANH:R and ESB:R.

Edit: Not to worry. Have just checked my SE DVD *spits on floor* and have seen the difference.

I personally wouldn't have a problem with Hayden being a ghost, if they'd reshot the unmasking/death scene with him too (and aged him accordingly and given him some acting talent). It would at least have added some much needed continuity that way.

Part of my problem with him replacing Shaw is due to his awful performance in the prequels. If he'd done a good job, and we saw him as the kind spirited Jedi we'd always assumed Anakin to be, seeing him in ghost form would not only be forgivable, but an improvement on what we currently have - someone who is alien to those who have watched the films in chronological order.

That child molester grin Hayden has in the final shot doesn't help either. What a way to end a saga.

Star Wars Episode II: The Galaxy Divided (The Brash Cut) - CANCELLED
Time

Is there anyone here who can provide me with the German HD broadcast of AOTC? I've attempted to download the thing on 3 occasions but either they stopped being seeded or for some reason refused to download despite ample seeds.

I'm assuming the file would fit on a DL DVD. I'd be covering your postage/disk costs.

Anyone who's willing, PM me. Thanks.
