WOW! That would be awesome! I definitely agree with the part about Dooku not being a Sith. He should only be a maverick...perhaps the start of the Rebel Alliance of the OT... Although if someone goes with that idea, his lightsaber may need to be rotoscoped blue, yellow, green, or purple. I personally think green would be ideal as it kind of foretells that the old jedi order will fall and a new one will rise (Luke's).

Psst! It's already been done by several editors ;-)

Star Wars coming to Blu Ray (UPDATE: August 30 2011, No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!)

Exactly. It's for the sake of this site, not for the sake of morals.

Because we all know, morally, Lucas has been ripping us off with the last 2 DVD releases.

Ghostbusters, I don't see how buying it from ebay or a 'legal site' makes it any less money in lucas's pocket. If you're buying it via digital distribution that's more in his pocket if anything - no manufacturing costs. Ebay and you're still contributing to the market and depriving someone of a used copy, who will then go ahead and buy the retail one.

How about you do something better, lordsidi?

Got nothing? Thought not.

You say you're new to the site. Do you think the way to make a good impression is to insult well respected members? There's constructive criticism and then there's what you're doing - insulting his work without ACTUALLY explaining why it was......

But I guess this next quote demonstrates the intellectual level you're operating at:

I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you can't say anything nice...

Didn't he mention to Obi-Wan in AOTC how the JC wouldn't believe him?

Nope, unfortunately. Otherwise it'd be a hell of a lot easier making it more plausible.

shanerjedi said:

You could certainly have Dooku in TPM at some point. Maybe at Qui-Gon's funeral? Maybe in the JC scenes?

Those are doable because there's little camera movement in the JC scenes.

Whether it's doable or not, simply having Dooku at the funeral isn't sufficient in conveying anything new to the audience. For a new viewer it wouldn't make anything any clearer than before unless new dialogue can be constructed (but there's no accompanying lipsync) - Dooku still leaves the order and we don't know why and it's still not suggested he went to the Jedi with his suspicions. Unless you refilm Christopher Lee having an argument with the rest of Jedi about the corruption he senses in the senate, then nothing changes.

This is why I'm hoping the Jocasta Nu scene will be included in the Blu Ray release as a deleted scene. In this scene she tells Obi Wan what a great Jedi he was, and that he was one of only 20 Jedi to have ever left the order, and that he did so because he was discontent with how things were being run.

That scene at least hints that he's had a disagreement and voiced his opinion on the matter.

Not to mention that there's very little actual singing talent around now, and much of it is fixed in post. How can you call yourself a singer if your voice has to be altered to be in tune?

Back to the Blu Ray release. When they say they've found all this extra stuff, what's the bet that it's only a tiny amount of it we'll actually get, and the juicier stuff will be held back for a future release?

Star Wars Redemption: Episode 1 (Rendering final cut!) (* lost project *)
Time

I will agree with rpvee that it is slightly sudden going from the star destroyer back to Obi Wan's hut. Perhaps a fade is needed to make it clearer that ALL of what we just saw was a flashback.

Also I've just had a thought of a possibly neat way you could transition back, but it would involve changing what you've done with this scene completely

When r2 stars showing the hologram, have the flashback start with everyone rushing around as the blockade runner is about to get docked with (.i.e. the first interior shot of the movies) where we see Threepio and r2 talking. The troopers board and the film carries on as it normally does until we see r2 with princess leia. At this point you transition back - possibly dissolving from the real princess leia to a closeup of the just formed leia hologram. You zoom out from the hologram and it plays as normal.

You of course lose vader talking to leia and seeing the droids escaping a second time, but we already know they escape don't we? :-p

I can't decide which version I would prefer. Guess I'd have to see both.
