A controversial idea i have put forward before, but perhaps just STAR WARS, and pretend all the others are sequels......(winces)

just finished watching your edit btw, very well executed. clean cuts and i honestly didnt feel as if i was watching an edit. i think what someone said earlier was true, which is that it wasnt anything too original as far as TPM edits go, but still a dramatic improvement on the original!

heres something that ive remembered, it always bugs me:

luke seems to move forward whilst this door shuts. its probably because they got mark hamill to stand very still whilst they closed the shutter and switched the lights off, then just sped it up.

is it possible to smooth out the rickety stopmotion and stop him  moving?

just for an addition to the list, i would like to see ROTJ:R consider some of the ideas from the ROTJ fan-o-matic thread, such as it either opening in dagobah, or opening onto jabbas palace when leia arrives

sorry, im not the expert on such things. ady has done those things though in his DVD for ANH:R. probably be worth PM him perhaps?

would you be able to make a cheap 700mb version xvid too?

personally i prefer to watch them first before commiting to a lengthy download.

A Star Destroyer got DESTROYED by an asteroid, but that explosion it made looked like it was some kind of dust explosion underwater or so. What about that?

i thought it was just the communication getting knocked out? wasnt it just an asteroid hitting the ball thing?

would be cool having a huge asteroid smashing a star destroyer up though, perhaps they could be getting really big holes knocked into them as the film progresses?

btw vaderios, i didnt mean to sound like i was critiscisng the matts, youve done a great job isolating them.:) i liked the previous things with the window you did too.

if a whole new matt is to be made, i would like to see more of the ships, it took me ages to notice what was in the background in previous years. maybe a completely different angle would work?

i really like that idea, especially in context with the anakin lurking in palpys office. do you think padmes ruminations scene could be worked into that? maybe anakin is looking out of that big window in the office?

That could work, i was thinking ages ago that someone could re-edit the naboo conflict to perhaps be something to do with the clone wars. alot of wars begin as something else, then develop. WWII for instance started along time before the UK and US got involved.

but i like your idea of there efectively being a Clone Wars I and Clone Wars II perhaps. In the pre-prequel days i always imagined the clones were mandalorians who were the antagonists.

i like the idea of the jedi being more misunderstood, for instance gunrays reaction could be

"Jedi? What are Jedi? They dont look like anything to worry about."

If they all appear to have crazy old fossil syndrome it could be amusing!

I always imagined luke and leia being toddlers in the prequels later on, so they would have a vague memory of things. Also ep III would be more like ESB, with the heores on the run from vader, culminating in the final duel between obi wan and anakin. Anakin's turn at the beginning of ep III would be much better, with ep II being the turning point perhaps.

If padme was actually called Leia, and leia was called something else, lets say Jill for now.During the events of episode II, in which the twins are born and "leia" (padme) is hurt somehow, like really badly brain damaged and crippled. the sight of that could cause anakin to turn out of rage (kind of like harvey dent). When bail organa decides to adopt Jill (leia) we assume he renames her in memory of her mother later on perhaps?

OMG! idea: we agree on a rewritten plot, then eventual script, then perhaps we break it down into pieces that people recreate themselves then forward as an anthology. like the animatrix or gotham knight.
