perhaps try and change the animal roaring noises, especialy the arachnid thing. i reckon you should have a go too

im also working on the jango/boba hybrid character, but if you were going to stick with jango, perhaps obi wan could kill him as someone suggested earlier?

another biggy, would be the iconic line "around the survivors a perimeter create"....makes me spin everytime!;)

got a bit more carried away on janboba...this would be impossible to do. though there are yellow kneepads this time!:) the gun really looks pathetic compared his elephant blaster in ESB.

oh dear. too many franchise related cooks spoil the space broth again....

i realised there had been a comic, but i just thought about re-contextualizing the cartoon to maybe just link in with that throw away line perhaps. it can be manipulated by crawl exposition.;)

i got this youtube clip, im not sure if i saw the KCCI or not. i downloaded the dvd that had all the kenner adverts on and the muppets. my friend pulled a copy from google video that had different, though im unsure if it was 'better'. this is the youtube that is currently being manipulated.:P

cool! ill try that! but i have just tragically discovered that i deleted my dvd copy!:O

it will be handy for future projects though. there was a HQ version on youtube that i think is as good as the dvd gets. so ill give that a go.

has anyone watched droids before? i know fett makes an appearance in that, is it worth investigating or is it a bit...well....you know how hit and miss star wars can be at times...;)

okay, couldnt resist...holiday special version.

does anyone know where i could get a good copy of the holiday special cartoon? ive got the dvd preservation but even that is a bit bad (plus i still dont know how to convert vob-avi without paying!) i was wondering if i could use it to make a ESB:R prequel called the 'bounty hunter of ord mandell' which would tie in with hans line.

knocked this one up

colour changing takes a while, but i can imagine it is DOABLE on a level slightly more primitive level to the image. there are quite alot of changes in this, but scratches and rough marks would be impossible the only way i can imagine it working, is if someone made a 3d model, and emulated the exact movement over the jango actor, then perhaps blended the two perhaps?

i want these!

okay, i just typed everything that bingo just did, then read his post, so in he interest of saving space ill just agree with everything he said.

i have rectangular windows (UK) i should imagine vaderios does (GRE) and so do all the other memebers on the board. not exactly a statement on our cultural differences/similariites.

i see the deathstariness of the interior just shows that its practical and not pretty.

the only style of window it should be changed to is corellians version.;)

the themes are subject to symbolism i guess. if we play it with scenes with luke it is lukes msuic, if it appears with anakin and luke then perhaps it becomes a skywalker theme. i guess each editor creates their own music canon in a way. one theme id like to twist is the vocals in ROTJ so that becomes the father vs son music as it kind of fits into the ESB duel interestingly.

thanks for the comments on the video, i really didnt put as much time into it as other clips, and in the end i was really struggling putting in the OT music, so i thought to cut the whole scene around that 50 second track.:P now seeing SSWR use of the force guesture bringing the big metal pot down though makes that whole part work alot more, so if i was to make a full movie edit, almost all of those elements would be used. its quite cool aswell as it kind of makes anakin seem slightly more concerned about his sabre (aka jediness) than padme (aka romance), which may work well in certain edits.;)

wow! that is so cool! i cant believe i didnt think about him pulling the cup thing down with the force, that is such a better idea. the eyeball was a great idea too, i think the lack of geonosians was a good idea too. i like the way he is calling padme alot, i may try and find her wailing anakin from clone wars a bit if i do it again on mine.

so...heres my attempt. after watching yours it really doesnt compare, i aplogise for not getting it out at the same time, internet is being a tad annoying uploading stuff, took all night!:P im afraid i didnt have enough time to do sfx, and as the original scene is so thick with musc its hard to isolate any. the general idea was to make it like the chasm scene in ANH and to give the innocence of luke/leia to anikin and padme.

I dont think you are attacking me personally. I guess Im just a passionate person. I am rarely middle of the road on my feelings about anything and I just want to share my passions with people I guess.

youre right there axia. sorry if things got bitchy earlier, i think our viewpoints differ but im glad we have your enthusiasm here. im not saying there should be sides, but its good to have someone who sees ideas in a different light as it widens the scope for discussion and debate.

Seriously, I think with some things it's ok to be "romantically" correct rather than "physically" correct.

i couldnt agree more sevb32. maybe the shot could do with the falcon being a little reangled, but at the end of the day, it makes a point. back when they made this film, would they have actually decided where the bridge was? i always thought it was right at the top somewhere. its all very well pointing these things out in an encylcopedia made over ten or even twenty years later, but i wouldnt be surprised if alot of these things are based on the creative license of the illustrator, not necessarily the prop designer/direcor/storyboard artist.

It's a bit ironic to see one who ardently defends the PT (which is a poorly-constructed, unenetertaining, cringe-inducing patchwork of revisionist bunk) accuse the new Star Trek movie (which is well-done, enjoyable, and keeps remarkably close to the spirit of TOS) of having "as much in common with Star Trek as a box of of used tampons". The cognitive dissonance makes my brain tickle.

I find it ironic as well that I have now become a hater thanks to JJ's shit relaunch of Trek. It is in NO WAY remarkably close to the spirt of TOS.

I can't believe I live in a world where I found the last Trek movie better than some SW...

I can't believe I live in a world where people feel that way.

Ben_danger said:

i know! the success of new trek is in its reinvention. its not old trek at all.:P

i think we should use this as a benchmark in our edits perhaps?:)

Dont all of you hate the PT becuase it wasnt what you thought Star Wars was? And now you want to reinvent it?

And finally comparing Star Trek and Star Wars is just ridiculous, they are completely different from one another.

sorry, i shouldn suggest changing things, or opening debate. i mean its only a fricking fan edit website. no offence axia, but whats with being crazily defensive all the time? you seem to love your encyclopedias and PT factbooks, but at the end of the day i just want to see a great movie. the great thing i found about the new trek film, is that it had 60s qualities to it, but was brought into a futuristic style too. so what if it wasnt standard trek? it was a great straight forward film.
