how hard would it be to create an ending for ROTS that is like a coronation scene for the emperor? he could be enthroned in a similar manner to ROTJ, and perhaps the scene could end with vader kneeling before him. that could replace the whole death star thing, and maybe be a good entrance for vader.

i would like an establishing shot of this, with loads of ships coming out of hyperspace joining it as mentioned earlier somewhere. the way i imagined the fleet gathering would be like a ginat ring of ships circling a planet, like the malevolence does in the clone wars series. so initially we see a red giant, with plack dots cutting across it in a line.

wow, brilliant ideas! i love the idea of the hyperspace ending. the tricky thing for ROTJ now is that it is under alot of pressure to conclude a 6 film saga now, whereas originally it was suited for a trilogy.
i have mentioned this a few times before, but i still think it wouldnt be too intrusive to the plot. if/when ady (or anyone else) decides to work on ROTJ and the PT, it would be good to think of any edits to make for ROTJ that can be linked to the PT. i think the whole JABBA affair at the beginning of the film, can be used more symbolically if JABBA is made a villain in the PT. rusty battledroids could stalk the Palace's corridors, and the eventual death of JABBA would be like closing off the last few loose ties of the Skywalker past.
i love the idea of bearded luke, if only there was a 'beard' filter on final cut.;)

the whole idea of creating an animated movie is great, but the amount of work is incredible, perhaps smaller projects would be more achievable?
would people be interested in (for now) considering some smaller 10 minute 'interquels' for episodes? like the original clone wars cartoon, or 'the faithful wookie' from the holiday special?

Well, there is obviously some work to do sound-wise. Especially in the last part the voices are a bit low and not too well blended with the new background sounds and musical score.
The colors are overall much of an improvement, but seem to be - as previously said - a bit washed out. But overall I really like the style you want to achieve with this, it does it job, just could use some little tweaks.
The good stuff:
I REALLY liked the video. It lacks technically a little, but it's obviously still a work in progress... So overall it's good stuff. The scene in which Padme confesses her love to Anakin is an improvement upon the original and the new music works much better.
When they ride into the arena the new music and editing seemed to add a new tension that was lacking from the original and added some new weight to the scene.
Consensus:
Great concept, great execution! Good job, bro. Altogether I'd rather get rid of the whole scene but that's virtually impossible... But you improved A LOT on it and I might even start to like it now ... :p
thanks for the feedback! the edit turned into one of those 4AM 8hour edit-thons that wilhopefully benefit from some fresh eyes this morning. the colours i admit are far more washed out than appeared yesterday, and will be fixed. i think im going to have to tailor each shot a bit more as oppose to using my uber-photoshop filter on the whole scene. the only variation is when they first leave the cave.
i initially made two colour sets, inside and outside. outsdie was far more coloured, and inside i wanted to have the outside appearing overly bright, thus desaturated. the exit now fades from desaturated-saturated as if their eyes are now adjusting.
sounds an issue. def needs work. i dont suppose anyone noticed but i shifted anakins pitch down quite alot so it at least appears that he is a man who can carry off darth vaders voice.
ill correct it for the second half, and will hopefully have jabba back too.;)

my thinking for the super washed out, is to make the film a little more classic, like the old shots in LOTR. hopefully the music helps.
