hardly constructive? i enjoyed the edits, maybe not what i would call 'perfect', but certainy interesting and worth the download. last of the jedi is the one i am most eager to see.

yeah, but WHY? he is hardly the focus of the film, or even the scene for that matter? to be honest he hardly even had a role in ESB except for being a good looking plot convenience.

fett is cool, but his coolness surely is more buzz related to over 20 years of EU, toys and kids imaginations enstead of film 'proof'.

i hate to admit it, but it is quite unhealthy the amount of time we lord over these films.:P but when you think about it, a mere second that is corrected, when multiplied by the amount of times it is watched certainly makes it more than a worthwhile endevour.

wow, vaderios that looks superb! the light coming from the trees adds to it aswell! i like the subtle tint you add to the endor shots, hopefully it will help define the time of day etc.

one tiny anal thing i noticed. look closely at the wall next to han as he shoots at vader. you will notice a dark mark appears on the wall. im guessing that vader is supposed to deflect a blast off into it. i always assumed he absorbed the laser bolts, which does he do? if he is supposed to deflect the laser bolts then perhaps it should be illustrated better. if not, then the mark and flash against the wall could be erased?

could the camera follow the emperor down and gather speed perhaps? having him bounce of walls and such.

I probably won't have him on Geonosis despite my video of him escaping the arena. It just makes too little sense to have it so obvious that the 2 warring sides are connected.

how are you planning to do this? i tried (in vain) to recolour him in photoshop purely using filters, but produced horrific results. i always thought a semi boba would work, ie red visor and maybe tinting his blue fabric somehow.

if someone was to do a proper retro, almost grindhouse PT, it would be awesome to do fake retro adverts for other fictional films, and maybe the cool star wars toy adverts but of PT characters too.

thats pretty crazy! reminds me of a charles simmonds sculpture. aside from the obvious animation issues, i reckon abandoned battledroids on endor coud be an option to consider? of course it depends on adys plans for the PT, but he DID mention removing the droid shutting down thingy in ROTS.

just thinkng about what somebody mentioned a few pages back about removing part of the contrived kamino plot.

as an alternative, cut kamino completely. within a speech talking about the Grand Army, shots of the clones eating food and training as seen on kamino could be shown, but in a way that doesnt bring much attention to the location. seconldly the cool obi wan/fett fight could happen on coruscant. obi wan could during his brief investigation track the bounty hunter to a landing pad, which then follows him to geonosis?

main problem as always though is trying to cut the crap from the film whilst trying to retain a sensible length! maybe an intermission with dancing penguins could boost it up.

i dont really know how people felt about jabba being a seperatist leader in the PT, and carrying over some rust battledroids into ROTJ in his palace, but how about this for an idea?

battle droids on endor: perhaps the ewok village could be built atop a trade federation control ship ball thing. the rebels could maybe hardwire the control ship to provide an army to use at their disposal?

additional footage of rebel soldiers plugging in various items and messing about a jungle covered control room would need to be shot, and perhaps R2 would help.

only problem i guess would be that they would need to show up with the ewoks, and that would mean that the rebels wernt expecting to use them as they wernt expecting the trap etc.

maybe if the jabba seperatist idea went through, a subplot could be jabba possessing some ability to control droid forces by some means. the rebels either want to buy it off him or killing him was a means of gaining it, saving han would have been a secondary motive.

it would kinda be like return of the king with the army of the dead.

hey that worked really well! it actualy adds some character to him too, as oppose to being an extra piece of merchendice srolling about on screen!;P

with the whole speech thing, i was wondering if someone dedicated enough could actually insert a character who may not interact too much with events, or recast bail organa. if there was a speech for instance, maybe events such as anakins 'death', extra scenes etc could be cut in a way that requires less footage. kind of like gordons speech at the end of dark knight.

i was having a silly sleep deprivated thought earlier whilst listening to the ESB OST. what IF, in ROTS, anakin doesnt concsiensly turn to the dark side, and palpatine doesnt make a huge lightning display infront of him. anakin fights the jedi believing that they are trying to overthrow the chancellor, but he does it as a morally 'good' decision. the film progresses, and on mustafar we could have a moment similar to ESB. obi wan and anakin fight. obi wan incapacitates anakin somehow, perhaps by lopping off his arm and slicing his leg a bit. anakin backs away from obi wan thinking that he is an 'evil' jedi like the others. begging anakin to end the fight, obi wan walks toward anakin until they are eventually at the edge of a drop in front of some lava. here obi wan could reveal the chancellors true identity as the Sith Lord. Anakin overcome by the realisation of this, and overcome by his actions in light of the truth drops off the edge of the platform, attempting suicide.

perhaps a speech made by a character (bail or padme, or invent a character) that could perhaps talk about rebirth, or second chances could be overlaid as we watch anakin burn and obi wan weep, closing the saga. the twins birth could be presented as a closing epilogue.

until ESB, we wouldnt know that anakin is darth vader, but a tragic hero who made some mistakes.

still doesnt add up with what obi wan says in ANH, and it would be better if palpatine was revealing 'I AM THE SITH LORD', but it would be hard to place him on mustafar logically at this point.

i was also thinking that perhaps the birth of the rebellion could be represeneted in such a way that we see some skirmishes starting at the end of the film, maybe also included in the closing speech.

what do people think?

Yeah I agree with that. It looks much better.

another thing to consider i guess, (sounds silly) but perhaps making something look pure and white, maybe even sterile, but filmed with real props in a studio that didnt have the capabilities to pull it off without computers. 'what would this scene look like if it were made between 1976-1983'

now this would be a bit more radical. how about replacing the kaminoans with something a bit more animatronic? or making them a bit more stiff and puppet like?
