hey SSWR, loved the two new videos, i like the new anakin death, although it does feel slightly anticlimatic, is there likely to be a part 3? im wondering if obi wan perhaps departs thinkng its over, then anakin shows up again for the final confrontation, where he is diced. id love for his defeat to somehow be anecdotal of obi wans triumph earlier with grevious.

it would be ace for anakin to have a vader dream, a bit like the dark cave experince on dagoba. a shadowy form could kill his mother, then padme, then him.

oh i agree, im talking about remaking how obi wan defeats anakin into something a bit more significant. preferably no dialogue at all. the whole way he seemed to get chopped up seemed so contrived, and could have been a great opportunity for a big pay off in the way of character development for obi wan.

was having a think about anakin's defeat at mustafar by obi wan, and how contrived it appears 'i have the high ground' (wtf!)

what i was thinking, was to employ a common story technique where the action of obi wan's victory would relate to some anecdote from earlier in the film, where obi wan would have learnt a lesson from a mistake.

an example of this would be during iron man his suit freezes due to the altitude. he fixes this problem. when fighting iron monger later on, he has an epiphany and leads him to a high altitude in order to freeze his suit too thus defeating him.

i was thinking, if we could create an event during the grevious duel that could relate to another created event where anakin is defeated - so basically reinvent two pivocal moments during these duels. however impossible it may be to produce, could you please give your ideas as someone else may think of a variation that is more realistic!

hey SSWR, loved the video! your prospective dialogue for windu is great, especially his remarks when getting on the transport! i'd be interested in seeing some dubs on anakin and palps perhaps if you think the dialogue could be improved, as you seem to get it spot on pretty much all the time.

only things i'd change would be anakin waiting in the council chamber and the interchange there, id be interested to see that dialogue placed upon anakins fall scene?

bingos idea would be a nice addition, and especially glad to see windu going solo! its great to making a jedi to appear a bit of a tosser. id love to see an edit where anakins 'fall' to the darkside appear as a positive event, so he is the good guy throughout until a crashing realisation at the end (cue a ripley style death from alien 3?)

ps- ill get some comparison stills for the tilt shift experiment up when i have a spare moment.

a little experiment. wondered if applying the technique of tilt shift photography (http://www.visualphotoguide.com/tilt-shift-photoshop-tutorial-how-to-make-fake-miniature-scenes/) would make it seem more like a miniature.

i also tried it with an old photograph filter, and then with the overall desaturation that ive applied to AOTC with relative success.

all done in photoshop!:)

maybe the solution is making vaders death more emotional by building up his turning, so his death is a bit more sudden and an anticlimax.

what if.....vader force pulls luke's saber, and stabs the emperor from behind. (what could follow is that uneasy silence that followed dookus death). redeemed, anakin goes to help luke to his feet. suddenly a huge wave of lightening pours forth as the emperor makes one last dying charge at them both. vader forces himself against the waves of lightening, grabbing the emperor and falling over a drop with him. luke could cry the generic NOOOO!

vader would not die because of the lightening, but because of the fall perhaps? enstead of being in a hangar, luke is at the bottom of this alternative pit?

alternative vader footage would be doable i should imagine?

it would be interesting to investigate some subplots for some of the PT films. im not sure if theyd end up like tommy lee jones in no country for old men where he just seems to be outside of the main action of the film - which would be quite un-starwarsy.

id like to see dooku having his little entorage a bit more, with grevious and ventress.

if youre desperate, could you use some footage from the latest episode of clone wars? its not perfect (aka being a cartoon) but there is some aerial battle footage i think. failing that there must be a computer game, or even a mod of a computer game that would make a useful substitute?

curses! i thought of that too! i was playing around with extra dooku dialogue from the clone wars movie (which was christopher lee too). there is a great line he uses when he fights on tatooine with anakin,

(line mixed with AOTC footage)

the movie also provides a tiny bit of dooku-jabba dialogue....should someone like that idea.;)

All I can remember was that is sounded like a slightly mannered RP English accent (think Gaius Baltar) which would be consistant with Seb Shaw's in ROTJ.

thinking to angels dagobah experiment, and luke training there in ROTJ, it would be great if there were similar lighting conditions going on to signify a new dawn perhaps? additional light effects and recolouring could mask the reusage of old shots.
