i personally have more a problem with the films were remastered, too dark for my taste. still isnt this the reason for these forums, too bash lucas, and to have schizoid feelings about him am i missing something?

thanks grinder i'm glad im not alone in thinking this version had the most detail, now if someone could find out if the 82 laserdisc is the same one shown on HBO also in the early 80's but not 'sped up'

i alwys did find it interesting that obi wan had totally given up on anakin in rotj, but not suprised in the prequels since obi wan and anakin mostly came off as hating each others guts throughout all the prequels although obi wan hated anakin first

that was a good take on lucas, about the exposition thing in ep1 and 2 lucas even says that ine ep4 commentary, thats probably why he wasnt interested in the prequels they were always there to set up the OT

i am well aware of the pan and scan versions after the '82 laserdisc and i can tell you without a fact it is definitely a different pan and scan version different from all the other ones. i also think its quite possibly the clearest i have seen ANH, you can see quit a bit of detail that is obscured even in the 2004 dvd version, too bad its sped up, its kinda like watching star wars on speed

gaffer tape you aged from 13 to 19 watching the prequels, just imagine if they had been good you couldve really celebrated that time in your life even more. what a waste of time lucas made us all go on
