There has been no bashing going on towards him at all. If you think that peoples replies have been "bashing" then this would mean that he has been bashing people too then wouldn't it with some of the things he has said towards people who haven't agreed with him? I'm pretty sure that Angel is big enough to take some criticism or do you think that everyone should be worshipping him?

And that's why most modern movies are crap. Just overblown music videos. You say that the OT cinematography is boring and needs to have all these weird re-framings etc to make it more like modern day film making, well no thank you. This is the guy who uses the same cinematography in EVERY MOVIE HE MAKES. He uses identical slow motion shots, slow pans, zooms etc every god damn movie. This is shit film making at it's finest. yes, some of his films can be entertaining upon first viewing but they are throw away films and i get so bored of using the same filming format over and over again. Give me the old '80's camerawork any day over this modern crap. You over-think something and it can turn into a turd. Sometimes the simplest option is the best.

And this is why i could never work with you on any of my edits and why 99% of your mockups i would never even consider, Vaderios. We have a totally different mind set. I'm also quite surprised at just how defensive you get if someone says they don't like one of your mock-ups.I think it's very disrespectful saying someone else's work is "crap" just because it wasn't done with today's technology. The matte work on the Star wars films was very good . It looked great and very convincing in the cinema first time around. the problem is that some have gotten use to the computer done mattes of today and forget that back then everything had to be painted by hand, with a brush and not on a computer.

And this is what is resulting in your defensiveness. I can say that he isn't the only one who mentioned this, although he is the only one that's spoken out in the forum. I've had a LOT of people contacting me about the same thing. I have been asked quite a lot as to the reasoning why reason why i am not  working with you on Revisited and  why i wouldn't give you a copy of the workprint. Also people have pretty much tried to tell me that it's down to artist jealousy. IF you are indeed here to help out with the project then why do you keep your methods so secret? It could really help others with their edits. Now i really need to catch up with all the comments made since the clip was posted before this thread got bogged down with the dagobah matte.

The matte isn't getting a complete change just an enhancement to match the studio shots. I don't know why they darkened it so much for the SE because it matched the brightness of the studio set more in the original version

No one talked down to you like a child at all. But you are certainly acting like one. You gave no indication of what the problem was other than saying that it doesn't work, yet you expect people here to magically solve it for you. I pointed you to Jdownloader's own forum where you would most likely find the solution to your problem so how the hell is that not helping you? And in your other thread it was not made clear that is was probably impossible to do what you wanted either. You really need to read replies properly. I pointed out to you that you would "struggle" with the editing you wanted to do because of the low specs of your PC and that you would be better off using Sony Vegas rather than premier because it's not as memory/processor hungry. Not once did i say it was "impossible", nor did anyone else. Hell i started doing my Revisited edit on a PC that had almost the same specs as you so it certainly wasn't impossible.  But your reply was "just forget it".  That was just plain rude after people were helping you. If you're going to act like a child then you shouldn't be surprised if people start treating you like one. You certainly need to go back to school and learn how to read because you seem to be reading things in peoples replies to you that aren't there.

Jaitea, i think you're probably just remembering the more common sounds from ANH because there are plenty of new expressions from R2 in ESB. For example watch the scene where the X-wing crash lands in the swamp and R2 falls in.

Well i can clearly read that you asked for help, which we gave you, then you suddenly change your mind AFTER we had given you the help. So why become such an ass towards people that replied to you?

In another thread you started you asked for help/ advice about video editing and it was given but you suddenly turned around and said "just forget it", now you do the same in here once someone has taken the time out to offer you the help YOU ASKED FOR.

You will find that people here can be very helpful, but peoples patience can only be stretched so far and you have shown an really bad attitude that will just get you ignored in the future.

Yes, it has received the same treatment. The pink tint is gone and it also looks like Lowry have done the clean up because the colour of the engine glows have been almost lost, the same thing that happens in the 2004 OT set

There's another shot in the clip that is unfinished and that one is when Luke walks away from Yoda. The shot is actually finished but it was accidentally left out from this clip because i had the layer it was on in Vegas disabled when rendering. Not a biggie really but the floor replacement to cover the moving floor isn't complete in the online version.

It might be just Youtubes compression because his eyes certainly don't have the same colour tone as his skin. The whites of his eyes have a neutral tone because i rotoscoped his eyes in almost every shot to eliminate this. if you turn the saturation all the way up you can see that the eyes remain virtually neutral:

Sony Vegas can do what you want pretty easily, but looking at the specs of your PC you're going to struggle to accomplish this with any program, although Vegas is more forgiving than Premier on lower spec PCs

I didn't use any HD footage for the edit. I was too far into the edit before a HD source became available and i didn't want to start from scratch. There wouldn't be any benefit for me to release an upscaled version of ANH:R and i won't be doing a HD version of ANH:R unless a restored HD version of the theatrical edition miraculously shows up and we all know that isn't going to happen. You are better off letting a good player upscale the DVD

I'm trying to add the engines to all rear shots of the TIEs but some are just too difficult to track so it's likely that some TIEs won't have them

So i have to ask if this is true. Logically you will replace the background from vader too in the close ups because its the same/flipped from the hoth scenes

Also when piet later says "alert all commands" will you replace its BG to be next to vader because he clearly talking to the crew in the pit of the bridge?

The "yes, my lord" scene has been fixed and it no longer changes to a shot of Piette in the command centre, and the background is now correct when it switches to vader, again instead of the control room.

The pit shot is another thing. There isn't a shot of the correct pit to use apart from in Jedi, but that's when the bridge deflector shield gets destroyed and it's too chaotic to use.

OOps, posted the wrong snapshot. That's the 97 SE AVCHD, not Revisited, which is why the engine is so overblown. Too many layers in Vegas & enabled the AVCHD layer by mistake when taking all the snapshots. Here is the proper revisited version

Found another change. I just posted this pic in my ESB:R thread so ignore the revisited shot. In the 2004 version the falcon has been re-composited and its position changed slightly.
