I'll give the BBC something, their coverage is spot on. We're able to watch any event when it's on. So many to choose from, all in HD, which is perfect for sports like, say, ladies beach volleyball.
But its even better in 3D ;)
Well i was going to comment on the Olympics but, after seeing the new title change, i guess i out of luck.
Looks like i can't comment on older version of the Olympics and have to love the latest version; Can't comment on how they have now just become a money making machine...... hang on....doesn't all this sound familiar??? ;)
Does that mean that Warblers true identity is George Lucas????
;)
Its a terrible tragedy. Some of the media over here have already been blaming the Batman franchise as they have been reporting that he had his hair dyed red and that he was calling himself the Joker. Maybe they should get their facts straight before trying to make something else out of this. They latch onto one little detail like the colour of his hair and blow things way out of the water, especially when the Jokers hair is green.
The slave 1 SE shot hasn't had anything done to it apart from colour. I was going to be replacing the whole background. lowering the platform and replacing some buildings for continuity, but the person who was going to be rendering the buildings has stopped replying to my emails, so this will have to wait until after the move. This also applies to the buildings on the take-off shot as these were just placeholders taken from until i got the new renders
We reached the 10,000 "likes" goal over on facebook today , so here is the latest clip. Not 100% complete in the FX work and, as always, ignore the audio track as it's just temp, but it is how Boba's voice will sound :)

The 35mm film version sounds good. The Silver Screen edition sounds nice too (like in the trailer).
Newer DSLR's don't have manual focus??? Is that true?
we are using the canon hack software for control.
all the newer 10 and 12 megapixel and up cameras don't
allow for manual exposure without autofocus.

What model camera are you using? My new Canon 500d DSLR definitely has the option of manual exposure without autofocus.
Can't you customise the template in the render settings to change the framerate from 29.97 to 23.976fps? I know you can do this with the pro version but i'm not sure about Movie Studio. There should be an option to do this when you select your template

What's with the big blue ....thing?
don't know.. there's a lot of weird
color anomalies due to aging, turning red,
etc, etc.. not sure how it impacts the other
reels yet.. that's why we're not using these,
because it would take too long to fix...

I think its pretty salvageable without taking ages to fix. Just took about 10 minutes to do these in Sony Vegas;

nowhere near perfect (especially working from highly compressed images) but this just shows what can be done in a small amount of time. But, as pittrek said, you are darkening the image way too much
Now the bright spots/ colour anomalies down the centre of the image can easily be cleaned up by creating a mask in after effects and adjusting these spots to match the outer edges.

The "deal" was that if he got 4,000 "likes" he'd post an image, and if he got 6,000 "likes" he'd post two images. The "likes" were well over 8,000 (but not yet over 9,000) when I posted that.
Now I see they're back to 2,000. Is this a weekly thing?
This deal's getting worse all the time...
The deal has never changed. You seem to be mistaking the number of "Likes" on the Revisited page with the number of likes that we were trying to get for Stephen Stanton's page. I think that was made pretty clear:
While things are a little quiet on the Revisited front at the moment due to the break while i move house, i'd like everyone to throw some support behind some of those that have really helped in promoting Revisited and have been very supportive. So first off......
Stephen Stanton (captain Tarkin himself). Let's get his page to at least 3000 likes before the end of next week. If you all help to reach this goal then i will post a brand new completed image from ESB:R. If you manage to get that total to more than 4000, then i will post 2 new images. So, come on everyone, lets show our support and thanks.
Unfortunately only a few hundred of the 8000+ followers of the Revisited page helped out and Stephens page is only on 2064 likes as of today. But it did help get Stephen to his personal goal of 2000 likes so here is the new screenshot:
In regards to the "Two fighters...." line, it's not something i will be changing. The "copy...Gold leader" lone in ROTJ however is something i will be changing as that is terrible. But that is down to the fact that they spliced two different takes together and the gap between "Copy" and "Gold" is too long to sound natural, along with the delivery with different speech patterns.
This has just been uploaded to Youtube. Silent footage shot on Super 8mm.
Gameplay footage:
Someone on these forums does have the DTS discs for the SE, but i can't remember who it was. I'd love to get my hands on a rip of the DTS audio tracks.

What are your guy's opinions about the softness of the latest clip? Did it look a little soft to anybody else? I just hope Adywan didn't bother with sharpening up the image because it was just a preview clip. His stuff usually is so crisp and clear, seeing lots of detail.
ANH:R, even though it was only DVD resolution was very detailed and crisp without too much haloing or over sharpening. IMO of course.
I never sharpen the video when encoding. I used a different encoder (the main concept h264 built into After effects) because i haven't re-installed all of my programs/ codecs on my new PC yet. Main concept encoder is crap and has always suffered with softening an image both with its Mpeg encoder and its H264 one.

Also, I don't want to be thought of as a nitpicker again, but I'm a little curious what everyone thinks. I've always thought the Executor's engines were more of a true red than an orange. On the off chance that I was just colour blind, I looked it up and Wookiepedia says the engines are red. I just recall the glow being deeper coloured in the original that's all. Can anyone offer their thoughts, even if it's just to contradict me?
I never trust any of the "...pedia's". There is only one shot in ESB where the engines are red and in that shot (the bottom shot) the engines have been added later as you can tell that the lights aren't even turned on (no light reflection on the underside). All other shots the engines are orange. Taken from the GOUT;
As for the meditation chamber view screen, i have removed all of the graphics and have just kept the outer detailing. It did look too busy so i'm going to keep those to use in ROTJ:R
I've just watched the 1080i version this. Unfortunately most of the footage was taken from the 2004 versions, with the couple of clips from the unaltered version being taken from the GOUT. Very disappointing.
new working link:
https://hotfile.com/dl/156074096/7439e3b/ep41138.rar.html

the link is still active. I just clicked on it and it worked. Hotfile sometimes reports a file is deleted to free users during peak times. try using jdownloader.
EDIT: seems like everyone is having this problem, yet my hotfile account still reports it as available with no copyright flag. I'll try uploading it again as a passworded rar file
For those that want a less compressed version without the blu-ray comparison:

Nice video Ady. I dig the display enhancements - very cool, yet non intrusive and in keeping with the spirit of similar things in the original film (like the binoculars for example). One thing I noticed though, you didn't fix this SE colour fluke:
yeh, i spotted that after i had already spent 45 minutes uploading half of the video and i couldn't be bothered to re-render and spend ages uploading again. It's been fixed.
Thanks to everyone that sent me PMs with the links.
I would love to hear the new versions. If anyone could PM me the links, it would be much appreciated. thanks
Pay-it-forward doesn't work and i'm not going to be doing it this time around. I will be sending out a certain amount of copies but not for PIF. I sent out over a hundred copies last time, many of them to people who promised to make copies and send them to people closer to them that asked. but only a handful bothered to PIF. The rest just disappeared after they got the copy, many not even bothering to stick around to say thanks.
The main releases will be upload to newsgroups, then it is up to others to add it elsewhere. The chances are, if things go according to plan here in my personal life, then i probably won't even have a fast enough connection to upload any versions myself, so i would have to rely on the help of trusted others to get them to newsgroups in the first place.

I knew there was going to be another clip, I knew!! :P
The clip i was trying to upload was just for the 2nd/3rd unit page so i could get some feedback from the new Hoth command centre displays (ion control etc), it wasn't going to be released to the public. Not only did facebook ban me for a while and have permanently banned me from ever uploading any more videos, but when i tried youtube, they also deleted the video and threatened me with a ban. i guess adding the 25 second intro no longer works . It won't be long before vimeo utilises the same software. If the damn blu-rays hadn't been released none of this would be happening. Fox are being very heavy handed with their copywrite enforcement since then.
Update:
Today i did an update ;)
