If they had just have blocked the view of the battle, then i would have had no problem with it , it's the fact that that there is now way i could have been unseen at that angle. All they needed to do was to have the planet almost out of frame and the camera at a different angle and the sequence would have worked.

well that whole opening sequence is going to be removed and replaced with a new opening for ROTJ:R. Opening the way iot does now almost tells the audience" hey, i ran out of ideas so i'm just going to rehash ANH" and then he does it again with TPM's ending, only this time it's ROTJ; battle in space, battle by the indigenous species and the heroes break into the palace/ bunker and the baddies are tricked by a decoy, all intercut with a lightsaber battle and then the ship goes BOOM.
The opening shot of ROTS just doesn't work. It's just a showy piece which, for me , sums up the prequels ; all flash and no substance. But the fact that the battle just appears out of nowhere, when we would have been able to see it due to the angle of the opening, just helps the opening to fail. It's not even as if it is a reveal that was out of camera frame, because it SHOULD be there from the moment the camera pans down and we see the ship. It's just a mess.

I won't be using "Battle of the Heroes" in ANH:RHD. I was going to have a selectable audio track so you could chose to have the music during the battle, or not, but i forgot about the slightly different timing in the video to have this music mix with the original, which is why i had to slow down the cloak dropping. I think it works better without the added music.
When i did ANH:R, i wasn't planning on doing the prequels, so this was more of an addition to help join the two trilogies. But now, as the HD Revisited saga is meant to be watched as a 6 film saga, i will be preserving the Vader/ Father secret and will no longer be using the music. And i just love the way people are saying that the secret can't be preserved and that it is a bad idea, yet they have NO idea what i have planned (and only the Revisited team know the re-jigged storyline). And i will not be working with JUST the footage that is available, so anything is possible.
I also really hate the R2 jets, so those won't be making an appearance in any of the movies.
It was presented in 16:9 zoomed, so not worth capturing, although the colouring didn't look as pink as the other HDTV captures.
TPM is on ITV1HD at the moment, with AOTC on next Saturday. It's a good bet they are going to show all 6 films. Not sure if they will be the blu-ray versions or not yet though.
EDIT: Just checked a bit of TPM and it's not the blu-ray version.

Well it looks like this series arc has something to do with lightbulbs, or it could just be another Moffat red herring. But, so far, every episode has had something to do with lightbulbs either having to be changed or flickering;
Pond Life: The doctor is having to change to TARDIS roof bulb
Asylum of the Daleks: Lightbulbs flickering when the Dalek/ humans are near
Dinosaurs on a spaceship: Rory and his dad both changing lightbulbs
A Town called Mercy: again flickering lightbulbs.
I guess we'll find out if this has anything to do with the finale after next weeks episode

The episode numbers will stay the same as there will still be 3 prequels.
I'm not sure why many people think that Yoda has gone nuts when we first see him in ESB (since the prequels came out of course). He is just acting like a strange creature, testing Luke. You see the disappointment on Yodas face when Luke says that he couldn't help him find his "friend". If he acted his true self then Luke may have realised that he was in fact the person he was sent to find.
There never really was a surprise that It was Yoda, even back in 1980. The revelation is in place for Luke and not the audience. So the prequels haven't ruined that revelation, luckily.
The whole Vader thing on the other hand is going to be a tricky one. There is no way of changing the fact that Obi-Wan lied to Luke about who killed his father and ROTJ sort of explains that anyway, even though it's pretty lame. But you can keep the whole "father " revelation a surprise and still keep the final duel in ROTS. I have a few ideas about how to keep the fact that it is Anakin who is Vader that can be pulled off, and in fact someone has come pretty close already to how i'm going to do this. I do have a lot of the PT already mapped out and quite a few different ways to accomplish things, which is why i will have to do all 3 films together. If i did them in order, one at a time, and something i had planned for ROTS didn't work, but there had already been something mentioned or built up in one of the earlier films, then it would be a complete disaster. This way, if this happens, i can go back and change something well before the films are released.

Big-name directors get all the credit for a movie that hundreds of people worked on. It's not the director's fault. It's just how people view things. Angel would seem to understand this. Nothing more.
Which is one reason i will be ditching the "An Adywan Production" from the edits. From now on it will be "An AD1 Production" so it is no longer associated solely with my name and more of a production companies name . There are too many people involved in ESB:R, and will be for the remaining edits, that it is not right for me to have my forum name used in this way any longer.
Sorry about the lack of updates here. I have only just got internet back since i was cut off prior to the house move and, for some reason, accessing OT.com on my mobile just didn't want to work so i could only access and post any updates on facebook through the android app.
I haven't got my main computer set up yet. I only have the wife's old laptop to use at present, so i can't work or access any of the video side of things. I'm having to do a bit or work on the house (part new kitchen and a new bathroom because the owner before had a disabled bath fitted, plus the whole house has to be redecorated and new carpets.) All this work will need to be completed before i can start work on the new workroom, so i can have the computer set back up again and work on the models etc side of things again. I'm hoping that it shouldn't take more than a couple of months to complete. I'm still aiming for a 2012 release date. Not too much left to do before work on the audio starts. I need to catch up with a few people and get the ball rolling once again.
As most of my time is taken up at the moment, i probably won't have time to read all the new comments and have a chance to reply to any for a while too. But i'll try and get back into the swing of things ASAP.

Also, from ESB:R onwards (including the HD version of ANH:R) the name Adywan will no longer be used for these edits. People now associate this name solely with me and it is not right that it would indicate that i am the sole person working on this. There are so many talented people that are now helping out, or have helped out, on ESB:R and this will continue for the rest of the Revisited edits.
so they will now become an AD1 production, as it is more like a small production company working on these edits.

I take it that this is also aimed at me and my edits then just because i didn't ask you to work on Revisited. It was nothing personal at all. We just have completely different visual styles and ideas on what and how things could be changed. Nothing more. And you ARE credited in the end credits of ESB:R so i can't see why you would think that you have gone uncredited.
Clear your browser cache, restart browser then click on edit post, making no changes and the posts should be sorted

Its a terrible tragedy. Some of the media over here have already been blaming the Batman franchise as they have been reporting that he had his hair dyed red and that he was calling himself the Joker. Maybe they should get their facts straight before trying to make something else out of this. They latch onto one little detail like the colour of his hair and blow things way out of the water, especially when the Jokers hair is green.
The slave 1 SE shot hasn't had anything done to it apart from colour. I was going to be replacing the whole background. lowering the platform and replacing some buildings for continuity, but the person who was going to be rendering the buildings has stopped replying to my emails, so this will have to wait until after the move. This also applies to the buildings on the take-off shot as these were just placeholders taken from until i got the new renders
