The thing with Cg troopers is that it they are based in the computer and not in real life so reflections etc happen because someone has programmed them to be there. But in real life things are much different. The stormtrooper armour doesn't reflect the muzzle flashes, which are bright, even in dark lighting so the chances of them reflecting the laser fire is small, if any chance at all. The blasters in the OT were REAL firing props, unlike the plastic lightweight crap ones using in the PT. These things actually fired and created a real, on-set muzzle flash. Guess what....no reflection on any part of the armour

So i won't be adding any reflections to the troopers armour

In both cases, it was just someone stating their opposing opinion. Why are differing opinions and views so threatening to you? From getting defensive when someone feels your view is wrong, to cussing out fellow forum members when they hold a view you find distasteful, to wanting to lock up Alex Jones because you can't stand him.

So you then twisted what i wrote, by quoting only a small part of my post, to make out that i am jumping all over you again about your "guess" about Al Qaeda. But my post was nothing about that. All i did was to point out how quick people are to blame Al Qaeda, when recent events have shown it more likely to be a home grown attack. My first comment was more in jest (which is why i added your signature **sigh**) but you become very defensive when i said it could have been an American Christian.  But please point out anywhere in my posts did i once argue that 9/11 was a one time thing or claim any other conspiracy crap?

You can't play 720p or 1080p on a DVD player. Harmy has done a set of brilliant theatrical versions in 720p but i think they are in AVCHD format so you would have to convert them to a playable format for the Xbox360. Check out the de-specialized version in the preservations thread.

i'm not going to be keeping all the files. It's pointless worrying about future formats. 720p is going to be the highest quality these edits will ever be in. Its going to be a very long way down the road before anyone buys into anything better than Blu-ray / 1080p. I saw a demo of the 4k Tv sets and to be honest, unless your Tv is going to be larger than 60inches, it just isn't worth the money. There isn't that much difference between the lossless original and the rendered BD-25 blu-ray encode. And, as 005 said, the blu-ray transfers aren't all that great anyway and the prequels are stuck at max 1080p, so what ould be the point?

I will not be gong back to this movie once it is finished and out there. I want to move on and not have to worry about some new format coming out that might improve the quality somewhat. By the time i have finished all these movies then that's it. Nothing more from me. No more edits, ever. I need to get my life back ;)

Well the video side of things is almost complete. i've got about 20 shots left to do (hell of a lot of rotoscoping work to do though on these shots). Still working on the miniatures etc. I'll start filming these once all the video work is done so i know the exact angles and what i need to composite to look like, but once they are filmed it won't take long to complete each composite. Then it's on to the audio work.

I'll release the 720p mkv (or AVCHD) first followed by the DVD's and the Blu-Ray a few months after due to al the work to be done for the menus, extras etc.  It will be towards the last quarter of this year but maybe sooner if things go according to plan.

I'll then be taking about a year off while i finalise all the plans for the rest of the saga, before starting any video work on the remaining movies.

There were a couple more interviewed on the news shown here that also mentioned hat they were told it was just a  training exercise before the explosions happened.

I can't find that exact clip but it was shown over here and the guy was shouting out, so it wasn't doctored. The same question was asked during one of the other press conferences and this video is direct from the news, not recorded off the TV:

That question was asked during the news conference. The other voice you hear is someone watching the news on the TV as the person is recording it from the TV, but you can hear the reporter ask the question.  It is a legitimate thing to post. Nowhere did Fanfiltration claim he made this video or that he thinks that the accusations are true. Just posting something that was widely seen on the news. You do like to jump down peoples throats without knowing what the hell you are talking about.

As things are unfolding it is unfortunate that it seems more likely that this was more likely a home grown attack as no one has claimed responsibility for the attack. There are some real sick individuals out there.

But you were still very quick to bring Al Quaeda into this when NOTHING is known and NO ONE has claimed any responsibility for it

If a race has perfected the process and that all it's inhabitants are living proof, this would be something that could potentially be a gold mine. Palpatine wants his army of clones mass produced. He's from Naboo and knows all about the Gungans. It's all part of his plan.

The thing with the prequels is that they really don't have a theme throughout the three films to interconnect them. TPM could easily be deleted and it wouldn't really matter. It does nothing apart from introduce characters. Jar Jars character went nowhere, yet suddenly he is instrumental in voting for the army. We get the clones in ep2 and 3 but nothing to connect them in 1.

So how about a change of plot which will interconnect the three films.? I'm going to give a little snippet of what i have planned.....

Screw the damn trade blockade. It's pointless and boring. It needs some other reason for happening, also with the invasion. So what if the Gungans are actually clones who hold the secret to successful cloning and the trade federation want to get their hands on it (profit/palpatines plans?)? The previous queen made a deal with the trade federation under the guidance of palpatine, to force the gungans to give up the secret. But Padme was made queen and reneged on the deal. Jar Jar could have been  willing to hand over the technology but was caught, thus banished. It gives a reason for the invasion instead of being about trade routes. It also helps TPM connect with the next film. But it also gives Jar Jar a different character arc and a sort of redemption scenario when he fights along side his race to defeat the trade federation.

Moffat has seemed to want to ignore a lot about past Who and put his own mark on it. He seems to be ignoring anything to do with original Who for the 50th  because he doesn't want it to "become a fanfest". But if the whole finale of this season is going to lead up to his real name being revealed because the 50th is going to be the start of a new chapter for Who, it could spell the end for anything to do with past Who. Some of the mysteries need to be kept. We don't need to know his true name or the reason it is such a secret.

And what is it with Moffat's companions? Does he only have one idea for their character? We have Amy, who the doctor meets as a child and turns out out be something of a mystery and becoming the one that saves the day. Now we have clara , who he meets her present day incarnation as a child ( we see this in the prequel before he goes looking for answers and meets her as a younger self) who turns out to be a mystery and comes to the doctors rescue and saves the day. He also never bothers to resolve plot points that he introduces. Why didn't Amy remember the Daleks? Who blew up the TARDIS? How did a robot manage to start to regenerate?

He even seems to have forgotten that the Doctor married River.

We now get these split seasons just so he can concentrate on Sherlock and, if reports are to be believed, we will have a much longer wait for any new Doctor Who in 2014, possibly the Autumn instead of Easter. Audience numbers are dwindling and the way its going, it won't be long before the BBC shelves it once again.

Luckily, in a recent interview, Moffat has said that he is closer to the end of his run on Who as he is to the beginning.

I find it hard to believe (even though I have my own memories of the "She's Beautiful" line being in there, I have to concede that it most likely a manufactured memory) if for no other reason than it would be on one of the bootleg audio recordings or video tapes, and that some of those scenes would require a different score to be cut.

The "Lost Cut" still exists in its complete form in the Lucasfilm archives. It was documented in one issue of Star Wars insider a number of years back. It's only in black and white and silent (although the audio track is also probably buried in the vaults somewhere because we see a section of the lost cut in the deleted cantina scene). Containing 30-40% different footage and David West Reynolds was lucky enough to view it in its entirety. If the missing grappling hook scene ever existed then it would have been in the Lost Cut and he would be the person who could once and for all clear this myth up

In the PS3 settings check to see if 24fps/24hz playback is enabled. But also is your TV able to play @24hz ? If not then it will play 24fps content @ 60hz

Vimeo have deleted it. I got an email from them claiming that i had broken their terms and conditions. I contacted a member of their team to explain that it isn't just a direct clip from a movie, but contained a lot of work done by myself, but got a snarky reply back from them saying "maybe you should start making your own movies instead of playing with other peoples and then the videos wouldn't get deleted". Funny how they haven't touched the three comparison videos i have posted there though.
