(Question for adywan - the original AT-AT laserbolts in this shot are seen to fire from *below* the window in a 'one-two' movement - presumably from the 2 big guns below the window.  But in your new version the laserbolts are fired in 'unison' from either side of the window instead - Am I right in guessing that this is a deliberate change to the AT-AT firing at this point using it's smaller guns on either side of it's 'head'...and that the big guns will be used for the final big explosion?  Or have I got this all wrong?)

At the 0:34 mark just as Rogue 2 yells in close-up as he's hit - his chest button is still green at this point, not blue.  It's fleeting, but it's there.

Also, should there be a hint of a crack added to the left side window of Luke's speeder too?  It just seems that there might be some kind of damage on that one also, due to the impact.  But no biggie once again.

At the 1:08 mark just as Luke reaches into the back of the speeder before the AT-AT foot stomps down...it looks as if there was an attempt made in the original to add the dark grey markings to the rear of the speeder at this point.  I see that you've not done anything to this shot in your clip, apart from the redone speeder that flies past - but the 'white' rear section of the speeder on the left-hand of this shot looks kinda jarring after the sterling work you did on the markings in the other shots.  It wouldn't stick out so much if it was even just darkened the same as the top portions have been in this shot.  Just a thought.

1 - If you listen to the sound effects in that shot, it's firing the side guns and not the main canons, so i changed them to the side guns. This actually happens a lot throughout the battle; main guns firing , but the sound effects are wrong. I'm hoping to fix that in the sound mix

2- good catch. i'll get that fixed

3- Can't really tell from the external shots if there is a crack on the left or not, so i'll leave it as it is.

4 - I didn't think it would be noticeable, but i guess i was wrong ;)

where's the video or is it not up yet?

You'll have to wait until the film is released to see the new dagobah shot in action.

The woman drinking the coffee has a funny expression.  Great job too.  The stuff she's already seen would keep us interested for days.

Who is the guy? ^ I recognise the face but can't put a name to it (Or what films he's been involved with)

That's Tommy Gormley, TFA's associate producer. He works with JJ a lot:

Someone please tell me that leia kissing Luke before swinging across the bridge, and kissing han after saying "You do have your moments" have added sound effects in revisited? Her merely bumping her head on them really bugs me. They just need a very light smooch sound.

You mean like the sound effects already in the movie? I just checked both scenes and both have sound effects

Noticed a couple of things hidden in the background in that video ( click on images to see full size):

Right at the back of the stage, we can see the same style lights that were in the death star

And we can see chewies copstume in the background here, but with the more original bandolier that can be seen in the Bob Iger pic

The Dagobah miniature is about to get filmed. Some last little tweaks with the lighting, especially the rear illumination, then to fill the room with smoke and start shooting. This is just a quick hand-held test shot and not a representation of how it will appear in the finished version. (Click on image to view it full size)

but the clone wars especially cgi series had a lot character devolpment for anakin and introduced tarkin in to the prequel story's and other great characters to not have someone edit them to make them fit by ether editing the clone wars shows or not changing somethings in the prequels edit really sucks. especially since a lot of what he's going to change sounds like it might make the prequels good films and to ignore the clone wars shows is just kinda cruel.

But if i were to have to edit so that the films still fit in with a cartoon series, then they would just be the same films as they are now. So why bother?

These edits are meant to be watched as 6 films only. They won't fit in with the clone wars cartoon; they won't fit in with the EU; and they may not even fit in with the new set of sequel films either. When it comes to editing the prequels, the only thing that matters is the OT. Events and characters are going to be altered. New characters that weren't in the prequels may be introduced. The Clones won't be all clones of Jango Fett, if at all. So, just for that one fact alone, the Clone Wars HAVE to be ignored and thrown out the window.

i know esb:r is going to be great i just want both clone wars series to fit with the prequel edits when they come out or put back some of edited stuff back into the edits to make it fit like the chosen one stuff and maybe the midiclorians c3po being bulit by anakin when they come out. because i like the clone wars both series. those were the only parts of the prequels that didn't really bother me.

You'd be better off sticking to the official version TBH. C-3P0 is going to be in all 3, but fully golden as the Amidala/ padme's protocol droid, so there would be no going back to having Anakin building him (thank god);. No midichlorians at all; in fact there are going to be so many changes, there is no way it would fit into the clone wars series. But, you say you want them to fit in with both clone wars series? How? Those series don't even fit in with each other

The editing in ESB is pretty much perfect. The troopers AREN'T approaching from the same entrance Han and co appear. If you check the whole sequence again you will see that the snowtroopers come in from the left on the hangar ( where the snowspeeders were originally parked), whereas Han & co come in from the right ( where the x-wings were originally parked). How can you tell this? Well look at the position of the falcon in the wide shot where Han & co are running towards the Falcon. The Falcon isn't angled straight on . But, when the troops appear, as in the photo above, then it appears to be at 90 degrees to the troopers. So, from that, we can determine that they are coming in from an entrance to the left  and that is where they set up the gun

Just watched it.  You can tell it was shot on HD cameras because there's nothing film like about the footage.  That's whats giving it the modern look.  It looks even more video then the prequels.

It's shot on 35mm film. The video compression ( especially if you watched the youtube version) is heavily compressed which has eliminated almost all of the grain. Grain is more noticeable on the video on iTunes, but still you can see that the compression is killing a lot of it.

It isn't worth using this trailer as any basis to how the film will eventually look. The colour grading will have been done specifically for the trailer and will likely end up being completely different in the finished film; chances are that the effects aren't even finalised; you're seeing it through a heavily compressed format etc etc.
