question is anyone working on custom covers for the XO editions???

I've started on one. Nothing to report right now though.

For those that keep asking what format these will be in and what versions, etc. The reason we haven't posted any definitive specs is because all four of us have different ideas in mind for what we'd like to have in the end. Expect at least a few different versions to come out of this project, except maybe a pan and scan I guess.

Zion, one suggestion on the T-shirt. Take the www.x0project.com line below the logo and place it on the back. The front seems a bit cluttered with that there. Maybe make the font on the front a bit smaller. I do like the T-shirt though, but think those suggestions might improve it a bit.

Nice job on the site btw. Can't wait to see the finished project. Good work you guys!

Actually, the shirts do have the web site address on the back.

The next run of t-shirts won't look exactly like that, though. I'm redoing the design. If you didn't buy a shirt from me at Celebration 3, there's a good chance you'll never be able to get one of the original shirts. (However, I do have a couple left. PM me for details if you really want one.)

And before I steal Laserman's thunder, I'd like to point out that he's the brains behind all the articles so far.

Graphics Editor Tool ????

Paint Shop Pro is an awesome program. I used it exclusively for 5 or 6 years for all my web design stuff -- as well as a few of my very first dvd covers. I loved it and for the price (~$99 US) you can't beat it.

About a year ago, I took on Adobe Photoshop and I haven't looked back. The main reason is because there is a lot more you can do with it. It also seems a lot easier (to me anyway) to get the results I'm looking for. It's about 6 times the price, but if you have the means, definitely check it out.

Me.

I'm heading off to the theater to see Star Wars. When I get back, I'll get to work on the index. If you're around, I could use your help or anyone else who wants to volunteer. Let's get a good list going in this thread of all the dvd projects.

I realize all you guys are very busy but I think you should really look into updating your site and making it more informational. I'm a web designer by trade and would lend my services if you guys would like any help in that area (ie, designing, updating, maintaining your site).

In a couple days, we're launching a brand new web site which is leaps and bounds ahead of the current design. You'll also be able to sign up for our newsletter for updates on the project.

Announcement: Sticky Threads
Time

Well everyone, the time has come for a change around here. I look around lately and I see a lot of different projects going on. This is great news! The only problem I have is trying to decide which threads deserve to be stickied to the top of the forum. What it all comes down to is the fact that there are too many active projects and not enough room at the top of the page. As it is now, you may have to scroll to the next page to find the most recent discussion.

As of tomarrow, all project threads will be unstickied from this forum.

In their place, an index thread will be created with links to all projects – finished as well as those currently under development. The only other threads to stay stickied will be the forum rules thread and the official screenshots threads. My goal here is to make this forum more accessible and easier to navigate. Hopefully, this will do the trick.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, please feel free to address them here. In the mean time, let’s see if we can get the project index going. Who’d like to volunteer to make a list of links to all the project threads?

Thanks to everyone who has made a donation so far -- large or small they really help us out. Right now, the money is going toward keeping our web site up (which will become much larger in the next few weeks ) and to help pay our shipping costs for things we send between one another. I'm very far behind at the moment having just gotten back from vacation, but rest assured you donators will be rewarded in the near future.

I was wondering if you're letting people sign up at the website yet? The T-shirts look quite intriguing...

I was hoping to have that set up by now but I've been out of town for most of the last month and a half. Stay tuned to the site and expect to see a lot of cool stuff added in the near future.
