FYI, Farsight caps have been added for all 36 frames, as well as shots from the finished Moth3r DVD.

Look back a few pages. The process of upscaling video to HD resolution has already been touched on briefly. In a nutshell, upscaling with today's scripting technology does add detail, albeit artificial. If all it did was repeat lines of resolution, there would be no point.

First and foremost, all four of us will be working together on the official X0 version of the films. Whether that ever sees the light of day is still up in the air (since obviously we can't distribute it legally). Once that is done, I think Mebe and I will start working on our own versions. I can't tell you what the differences will be because at this early stage we honestly don't know.

Well, it is pointed out on the site that Moth3r's caps are in PAL anamorphic. If you think it's necessary, I suppose I could label all the other ones as NTSC.

PS: What program are you using?

I'm using a combination of After Effects and Premiere. Also some light work in Audition for the sound clips. I think that transition looks odd because that's actually a clip of Vader when he's talking to Peitt, not Veers. The Veers clip seems to work much better and I'll be inserting it for my next version.

FYI, my screenshots comparrison page has been updated with caps from Moth3r's finished ANH. Thanks for sending them in Moth3r!

Outstanding job on your transfer. Judging by the caps, yours is easily the most detailed of all the finished versions.

The NTSC LD's are like that, unfortunately.

However, if you're any good at Combustion or Adobe Premiere, you can input your own star field in it's place. Check out starwarslegacy.com to see how Mverta did his.

I've seen the film 6 times in the theater, including a $100 ticket at the Denver charity screening. So I don't feel so bad about downloading it.

We have a much smaller and tighter-knit community here. Sure we have the occasional problem user, but nothing compared to having to ban the same people day in and day out for outright flaming, trolling, and attacking the rest of the community. From an administration standpoint, this place is a walk in the park compared to TFN.

Um, no offense, but there are always trolls on TFN. If you hadn't noticed, it's been a haven for immature behaving teens for years now. We are only so lucky to not have the same problem here.

I didn't do the capture, so I can't say for sure. But I do know from my own experience that different capture cards clip the video in different places. I found a hack for my card that let me adjust it manually, but most cards can't do this. Looking at the difference between the two though, I'd say it's not much of an issue.

Heh, Mark does look a little weird in that shot doesn't he? The thing that impresses me the most is how the little things jump out at you, like skin tones and even the rope. Just awesome.
